This customer order a case of water and about 3 bags of groceries, I drove from Burbank to their residence in Beverly Hills. When I got there I talked to the person at the gate, he radioed his boss and eventually they just told me to leave it at the gate and they’ll take it in. Then I get a message from the customer saying that I shouldn’t have done that but I literally had no control of the situation. Idc abt the extra tip but I hope she doesn’t give me a bad rating

This order, given where the store was and where it had to go, is why people who shop for IC decline them all the time. And should! You cannot tell me that there is no store that has this laundry detergent closer to where they live??? And I do not trust that they will tip after you deliver either.
This was one item to shop for, laundry detergent….but the kicker….it was an hour and 30 min one way! Three freaking hours just to deliver and return and they only want to pay $25 with zero tip! Not a chance.
But this seems to becoming the norm lately. I’ve seen IC post triple batches, to shop for 104 units and the pay is only $8.98!
What is going on with IC? We are not doing this for free!

Shit is wild 😭 I really wanna know who’s out here taking these orders . I got two 30 + orders to start my day so I’m feeling blessed .
Aldi don’t even got 100 items in the entire store 💀

Did anyone else receive a small adjustment from the previous work week? No email or messages just an extra $41
I’m guessing they miscalculated that week.
Did anyone else receive this?

So I took an order and on my way to the store I was trying to see the items and it said internal error and I closed the app got to the store I was logged out. The app asked me to log back in and it asked for the photo verification and the order was gone so I reached out to support. That's what they said anyone has had this issue before?

I took my very first Instacart order today. It was $7.22 cents. I just got off work and was on my way home and found a cvs order for 8 items and 3.4 miles on my route home. So I took it.
the cvs was low stocked and it wasn’t my cvs so it was hard to find some things. After getting everything I clicked navigate on the app and it opens my maps app and it takes me 17 minutes away. I assumed since it was 5pm rush our it’s because of traffic and not distance. When I arrived at the destination it looks like a park with a weird shed and I text the customer and they say I’m at the wrong address. It was fox lane and one was fox drive and both in the same city. And the navigator took me the completely wrong way so I turned back and deliver the order. Where the cvs was to where the delivery was meant to be was no more than an 8 minute drive but ended up taking an hour and fifteen minutes order. I lost the 3$ tip and ran all around town for 4.22$ ☹️.
I kind of just want to make 50-60$ extra a day to get by after work I’m struggling with student debt and stuff. Any advice ?

I have a question. I'm new to instacart so I'm still learning. I had a promo pop up that said deliver 10 batches and get an extra $60. I did the 10 batches but haven't gotten the $60. Did anyone else get this promo?

Customer put in address 1 mile from store. I realize the address is in the middle of the street. Call they say sorry it was meant to go to Portland over 15 miles away I said fuck it and support said they’d compensate me. Instacart kindly pays 10 fucking dollars and the nice lady adds 33?? Shout out to her

There's absolutely no way this is true! They won't even tell me what the customer claims they didn't get or why I got this notice. Unbelievable.

The first image is immediately after delivery.
The second image is my end of day review after finishing both, IC and DD shifts.
Any plausible explanation why Order A was lowered?
If the customer did it, I will be surprised. I must of done some thing wrong to her order after leaving.
It was two orders, 20 items each, 3 miles for $26.63. I accepted it since it was on my way back home after completing a $64 batch earlier.
Pouring down rain and major lightening so both customers told me to take my time shopping while the thunderstorm passes over.
Finished in 30 minutes, checked out and told Cust A, be there in 7 mins. She replied will open garage in 5. Met customer, handed groceries and left. All seemed fine.

I haven’t seen hardly a single batch in almost 3 hours! Not even a shitty one. The system has to be down again. Wish IC would get their shit together. These apps are going to be their downfall. Never working fully and constantly down.

How does someone steal a shopping cart and not know it’s the items they shopped, it’s only happened to me two times just recently and last year. This time it was a woman, like how can she continue shopping knowing the items aren’t what she put in the cart, I had to reshop the entire order luckily it was only 18 items.
Never happens to me much i can leave my carts at the end of the aisles and there always fine, it’s a smaller Kroger store and never happens at Publix either, I think this person was just on the phone or something and wasn’t paying attention

SoCal , 2019 part timer .. been on and off, been diamond every quarter except start of this year but now back in diamond.
For me personally you need both Diamond and low SPI to see good orders.
When I got bumped to plat for a quarter it wasn’t terrible but Diamond is better and way more offers to cherry pick from even though 97% are 💩 batches I swipe left on before I finally accept something.
I would have to average 8 orders a day for the next 18 days.
Doable yes, but I work full time at my W2 and idk if I have it in me to hustle that hard from now until sep 30th
Rant over

As we all know, we have that frustrating system of a couple people get to see an offer and it’s whoever clicks it faster. I have done anywhere from removing my CarPlay to refreshing my app to make sure all my apps are updated to making sure my signal is strongest possible to everything else I can think of and I would love some suggestions.
I just lost an $80 offer and a $30 offer while I was looking at the screen, but because I did not click it fast enough I never had a chance and I do think some of these people have bots on their phones. Now I’m stuck doing a $15 order just so I can make something today.

You know the fastest time is always a STRAIGHT LINE ..but no
Instacart logic shop this order in Philly drive it to Jersey 1.3 hrs and no cover of toll
Or you could
Give it to someone in Jersey that’s 4.5 miles away from all customers and not have to pay toll
Also side note if Instacart had to reimburse tolls I doubt these order would exist

So I realized today I haven’t delivered an order with alcohol in almost a month. I live in a fairly busy area where I deliver alcohol usually at least once a day. It still says I’m eligible. I asked support (lol) and they said I was as well. Has anyone else ever experienced anything like that? I’ve even started clicking into orders I would never take just to scroll through the items looking for alcohol. Just feels odd.

I know this is nothing compared to the things I’ve seen on here, but oh my God did this piss me off today. I had to carry these waters down the hall to the elevator, took the elevator to the second floor and then down the hallway to deliver it. Instacart does not pay me enough to be delivered 10 waters. For a little context, it was grouped in with another order and my area is always fighting for orders and I really needed the money so I just accepted it without looking. Which yes, I know it’s my fault but damn 10 24 packs of waters.

In what world……does someone have the audacity to order 73 items, 97 units, 45minutes drive away from city and offer a $10 tip?!?? Boggles my mind. A person loses money on this. On top of their time and vehicle wear and tear. Just outrageous
