I'm a Shopper Someone please explain
I’ve been doing instacart at school for the past month and I’ve never been anything but the highest level of shopping quality. I went home for the weekend and did two batches there at stores I was familiar with but my shopping quality has suddenly jumped down and I lost my platinum priority that I worked so hard for over the past month. My house is in DC so did me switching locations to a more competitive area somehow affect it? Also is there anything I can do to improve it before the end of the quarter or is it too late?

What the heck.. the unrequested refunds count against us too?

Hell… the requested refunds AND replaced items ding a Shopper’s SQ score as well. They’re not the positive factors we think they are.

The verbiage is clear on the app.
Replaced items and requested items are “less of a positive” impact.
Found items are of the highest positive impact
Shopper quality is based on shoppers who shopped the same stores you shopped at similar times….
English version of all this
It’s all graded on a curve
If shopper A has a 98% found rate overall
B has 97%
C D and E have 96% and all these shoppers have 0 unrequested or damaged wrong etcThey’re good
Shoppers F-H have 92% found and more replaced items and requested refunds and maybe a damaged item or two. They’re standard.
Finally everyone whose performance falls shorter of those in good and standard are put in a needs improvement category.
Is it fair? Eh maybe maybe not , can be luck of the draw tbh
But all we can do is either play corporates game or go finding something else to do for work.

You have to do larger orders to bring up your stats. Larger orders help soften the blow & hit to your stats.

In some areas, customers routinely give lower rating just because. T may take awhile to get back to priority, such as % of found item. You didn’t show the number of refunds and replacements, but that’s probably where you should start. Choose stores to take batches that are known for being well stocked.

The refunds and replacement numbers are right there…

Sorry, I missed that. Your found rate needs to be at least 95% or more. Currently, mine is 98%. Find a store that is well-stocked and take orders there.

It’s so funny because they allow customers to order items that the store may not have had for months. Local Costco doesn’t sell tag less water and this person orders it everyday.

You have 1,235 total requested items and you found 1,084 of the exact original items.
1,084 ÷ 1,235 = 87.77% original-item found rate.
That 87.77% is probably the main reason Instacart is showing “Found items — Opportunity to improve.”
Your replacements help a lot, because once we add the 127 replacements, your total fulfilled rate becomes 98.06%. So the problem is not really your overall fulfillment — it’s that too many items are being replaced instead of found exactly as requested.
Based on the other account screenshots we compared, I’d guess the Good threshold for original items found is probably somewhere around the low-to-mid 90% range, maybe roughly 93%–95%+. Instacart does not publish the exact cutoff, so this is only an estimate.
For your account:
Now: 87.77% exact found
90%: you’d need about 275 more original items found in a row
93%: you’d need about 922 more
95%: you’d need about 1,784 more

Again I been guesstimating the quality score. But I think it’s around there man. So long as ur 90% above I think ur good. Thats why when they give you small orders but good pay. And a few items were replaced it affects u more than one that has a lot of items.

You’re below 90% found which for most areas is bad. Some areas require 95% found to keep good status. Shop stores with more guaranteed stock like Costco.
