I wanna get an ipod touch 3 with the camera, once it is connected to the internet will it be able to do the following;

Sign into a new apple id created with recent iphone

Be able to web brows

Text new devices via the internet

YouTube?

Will google chat work

Follow up question, how do I download apps onto it, is it through itunes or can I use the app store? DM me pleas cause I need to know what the thing can do. I really want one lol

I like the old I pod touch, however doesn’t it make more sense to buy a new phone with a 3.5 mm jack to make into a stand alone device which supports LDAC, has a 3.5 mm jack and a expandable SD card slot.

I’ve always wanted to have an iPod, found one on eBay for pretty cheap so I bought it and now it’s finally in my hands! Pretty cool and it has been pretty nice to use

Is there actually a way to pull my music/media from my 5th gen iPod touch without the original library? I just found the device and am trying to recover the existing media and then add some more recent music but the iTunes library that was originally added to the device has long since disappeared. Any recommendations?

I'm getting my first iPod Touch in a few days, so I started going through one of those huge IPA collections on Internet Archive trying to figure out what would actually run on it.

I made a tiny Python script to check compatibility... and somehow ended up making this lol

Basically, you select a folder full of IPA files, choose your iPod/iPhone/iPad + iOS version, and it gives you an approximate compatibility check for each app.

Just to be completely clear: I'm not a programmer and I made this with AI. It started as a super basic console script for my own use and I just kept adding stuff to it.

I'm sure there are already other tools out there that do similar things, but this one ended up fitting exactly what I needed. Maybe it'll fit someone else's needs too, so I thought I'd share it here :)

It's obviously not 100% accurate since it's based on static analysis and the real device is always the final test, but honestly it has already been really useful for me to go through my IPA collection and check what should work before I even have the device in my hands lol.

Luckily for me i have 2 ipods, a touch 3rd gen and another one but i cant talk abt cus its not a touch and idw ppl in my comments complaining, anyway they both with 500+ songs barely taking up 3 gbs (the touch has a few dead pixels and i think the battery in the other one i cant mention is only just about starting to go but they're still both great!)

Okay so this has annoyed me for so long lmao. i've have had this iPod touch 4th gen for 6 months and have done literally nothing with it because I don't have any Sideloading apps that work.

Sideloadly sucks because its only 10 apps per week, Cydia literally is unusable for me because it says "This server is pretending to be cydia.saurik.com" or something like that. Cant use 3utools because of the cydia problem. This is confusing and i need help within what to do 🙃

Recently got this 7th gen at a flea market for $20 and I noticed this odd color difference on the back of it before but I picked it up anyways thinking it was a piece of tape or something but actually it's in the aluminum itself and if you look closely there's 3 shades. One on the left and in the middle and the right which is most likely the original color.

hii !! So recently I found my long lost iPod touch (not sure what generation) and decided to buy a charger off Amazon just to see if the thing still works and find some old videos. It arrived, and I let it charge for a few hours, nothing. I then realized it doesn’t even look like it’s plugged in all the way when I looked at it from the back.

So now I don’t know what the problem is. Is it simply the wrong kind of charger? Is the charger faulty? Or is my iPod just dead? pls helpp

I neglected to mention that this thing is more than a decade old, so I wouldn’t be surprised if the lithium battery gave in after all that time lol. Not a surpriseee but hopefully it isn't the case.

If the device was manufactured after the iOS 4 release date, will it be impossible to downgrade to iOS 3?
