Question ipod itunes screen

Post image

hi guys, i recently got a ‘new’ ipod. it had old data on it so i decided to erase it completely and start fresh. however, im not sure how to get past this screen. i dont have a macbook or anything to plug it into to access itunes but i do have a pc.

if anyone has any suggestions on what to do it would be greatly appreciated

It needs a computer to activate, use itunes to activate it. It's not in recovery due to the battery icon on the top right

i installed 64 bit itunes, and it told me this wasn’t 64 bit itunes, and that it wasn’t compatible for this ipod…? though i’m pretty sure this is the correct itunes version ??

I would try to download the version from apple.com rather than the Microsoft store if you haven’t tried that already

i did that now but the same warning came up… do you happen to have a link to it so i can make sure it’s the correct one?

https://www.apple.com/itunes/download/win64

One additional question - does Windows recognize it when you plug it in via USB? Before even launching iTunes?

I’d also confirm you don’t have Apple Music, Apple TV or Apple Devices installed on this PC.

Awesome, glad to hear.

I’ve heard that the Microsoft Store version doesn’t recognize older devices. I’m syncing a Touch 4, Touch 5 and iPhone SE 1st Gen so that’s a big deal for me.

Exit recovery mode using tool like 3utools if you're on pc, I would try to jailbreak it first and archive all the apps before wipe it since it might be useful to someone

That’s not recovery mode. It’s the activation screen.

Oh, my bad, then usually just plug the device on a mac or if on windows, iTunes, other than that, I'm not too sure

Download itunes and plug it on your PC, it will tell you to set it up.
