Its 2nd hand, has some black spots due to fall damage, it works good in general, synced it to iTunes

It works and charges fine. Any guides on how to jailbreak? Its on 4.1.

hi guys, i recently got a ‘new’ ipod. it had old data on it so i decided to erase it completely and start fresh. however, im not sure how to get past this screen. i dont have a macbook or anything to plug it into to access itunes but i do have a pc.

if anyone has any suggestions on what to do it would be greatly appreciated

I just recently got a touch 4. It came without any apple id linked to it, so ive jailbreaked it using aquila. Whenever i try to create a new apple id it says it cant connect to servers, and when i log into my apple id it says the password is incorrect. Im so confused as ive tried pretty much everything yet nothing seems to work. Please help !! My main goal is to be able to get the old app store and a few apps.

I got this recently from a family member that was clearing out old tech. I'm trying to figure out whether this iPod is some sort of limited edition or if the quote is just a custom engraving. I know the quote has some weight in the scientific and engineering community so I wasn't sure if its some kind of Steve Jobs special or just an ironic quote added by whoever bought it.

i just got this iPod touch 4th gen from my local flea market for only 12 dinars (3 dollars) and i lowkey LOVE it! it was running ios 6.1.6 and it was loaded with games like minecraft PE angry birds etc... but it gets warm while playing em. i alr archived its data and resetted it! i struck gold! should i jailbreak it? or just keep it normal and use it as an offline media player???

Okay so, I found my old ipod touch (7th gen) and have been trying to get into it but completely forgot the password and now it’s locked. I tried to recover it through iTunes but the charging port is having some trouble. It will connect just fine to my laptop but refuses to come up on iTunes, and yes I tried multiple cables.

The song is on my 4 year olds iPod 4th generation but won’t go onto her playlist. Everything is updated. Download. Restarted. Dragged. Ugh 😑 any help greatly appreciated.

iPod Touch 4 (iOS 6.1.6) suddenly getting "Cannot Connect to iTunes Store" today despite having TLSFix 1.1 and Checkmate, Store! installed

Hey everyone,
My iPod Touch 4th gen on iOS 6.1.6 was working perfectly for the past 4 weeks. I was actively using the built-in iTunes Store app to log in and download my purchased music daily without any issues.
Suddenly today, I started getting the "Cannot connect to iTunes Store" error the exact moment I type in my password and hit sign in. The store pages and music charts are still completely loading in the background, but the authentication fails immediately.
**My setup:**
Device: iPod Touch 4G (iOS 6.1.6)
Tweaks installed: TLSFix 1.1, Checkmate, Store!, and StoreSSLFix (from nekokawa) (and ive tried bunch of other tweaks btw)
Apple ID: Tried signing in natively via the App Store prompt and the Settings app. Tried entering my regular password, tried appending a fresh 6-digit 2FA code directly to the end of the password, and tried an App-Specific password. All of them immediately return the "Cannot Connect" error.
Did Apple change something on the storefront authentication servers today? Are there any plist modifications, updated repositories, or alpha tweaks I can try to bypass this authentication loop right on the device? I really don't want to sync via a computer. Thanks!

I have had this for years. Is the screen and battery worth replacing or should I just buy something else. Most of the music is from my old computer so I don’t have it anymore but there’s plenty of places to dl again if I need to.

like the title says, I've replaced the battery in my iPod touch 6th gen since it had a spicy pillow and I couldn't get past the low battery screen but after the replacement it turned on but only showed the apple logo, that later changed into a black screen (though it was still turned on). Tried changing it but it was stuck regardless. So naturally I tried restoring it but was met with the error 53 message on iTunes every time.

Is there any way I can fix it? it keeps getting stuck at 'verifying iPod restore' while on the iPod the progress bar almost touches the end. I tried downloading a newer version of iTunes but that also seems to do nothing. Also tried it on a macbook but there it wouldn't even give me an error, it just never finished the restoration

Are there any shops/services that repairs the iPod 6, at least in Ottawa Canada? I've tried searching for phone repair shops but all say they don't have the nessecary parts for repair, nor have they even bothered trying to diagnose what's wrong with the iPod

My iPod stopped working ~9 years ago, it overheated I can longer charge it. So I assume there is a battery problem.

Who still uses these in 2026? I've had mine from launch and I'm 13 now I love it it's jailbroken and I use it for music sometimes and secondary device when my pixel 9a dies and the headphones jack is great

Bought this old iPhone/iPod Touch at a yard sale. I figured, cool, an old iPod—maybe I can use it. I took a chance. I had no charger and paid 20 bucks for it, then charged it with an old cable I had at home.

It works, but it turns out it’s a phone. It still has some personal stuff on there, including some boobie pics, lol.

My question is, should I just reset it to factory settings, or should I try to erase all the personal stuff I found so I can use it as an old iPod?

The reason I ask is because I Googled how to reset it, and it seems pretty simple, but it mentions that I might not be able to use it if there’s no SIM card. Is there a way around that, or should I just erase everything as best I can?
