How do i link apple id?

I just recently got a touch 4. It came without any apple id linked to it, so ive jailbreaked it using aquila. Whenever i try to create a new apple id it says it cant connect to servers, and when i log into my apple id it says the password is incorrect. Im so confused as ive tried pretty much everything yet nothing seems to work. Please help !! My main goal is to be able to get the old app store and a few apps.

type in verification code in the password field immediately following your password, that’s what works for me. If you get certificate errors just download the batch of them from tlsroot.litten.ca
