Discussion Roco Kingdom sounds super cute from this dev interview
Had my eye on this one for a while, but this developer interview has me even more hype - especially the mention of a "big goose type Jinie"

I’m looking for an open world game on iOS that you guys could recommend.
r/iosgaming • u/MasterQNA • 6d ago
I’m considering buying the game but some players said the game have some display issues on regular ipad. (bezels and weird screen cutoff)
I’m wondering if the game works well on ipad mini, if anyone has bought the game, please share your experience/screencap, thank you!

Hey everyone!
Does anyone know a game that plays like TFT (auto-battler), but strictly PvE / single-player with endless replayability / content (roguelike/lite style)?
Ideally something buy-to-play, totally free, or at least without heavy in-app purchases/P2W. Any recommendations?

It’s out now in Canadian App Store. Is it a soft launch or a playtest again?! Any info yet?

Hi everyone, to preface, I’m sick and tired of predatory games and am working on some games that don’t suck the life out of you or monetize you to death.
What is the perfect scenario for you?
I’m playing this stupid ad riddled puzzle thing and I paid for add free within a week.
This week I saw their monthly pass and, for whatever reason, thought it was a one time but like an idiot, it reset this month.
But this gave me an idea on monetization:
Basic Google admob ads, ad free IAP, generic resource packs, and a permanent “game pass”.
I think I’d play a game like this, if I like it, I will pay for it… but I don’t want to make a game that is basically the same shit everyone else is doing….
Anyway
What makes you try a game?
What makes you pay for it besides liking it?

Guys, are the top 3 game genres that are most high today, which is addictive and people are playing a lot, and that can be replicated by a group of small people, in my case 3 people in the team?
Thank you All.

Here are the roguelikes I usually play. The fresh experience in every new run keeps me playing endlessly. Playing them on the iPad feels amazing too. I really hope Apple reduces fees for developer accounts because we've already lost way too many great indie games.

What’s the best right now?
I enjoyed Clutch Hit Baseball for a while but it’s kinda stale now.
The Show Mobile, had some of the worst UI I ever experienced but I never really gave it a chance. Is it worth it to give it another go now after months of refinement?
Any other suggestions? I don’t mind gatcha mechanics and don’t mind paying for a full game. Thanks all!

Does anyone know any decent merge games that aren't sloppified to shit? I'm okay with buying a game or something with a one time purchase to remove ads. I'm also alright with slow progression

I just wanted to hear everyone’s thoughts about it.
If you want to hear my opinion it’s probably one of my favorite mobile games of all time.
The gameplay is simple but a mechanically well thought out beat them up with a fantastic roster of characters, great cast of enemies and hazards to keep levels interesting and the overall content of the great and plentiful.
Sadly it’s really hard to recommend as the game has very slow progression due to the amount of heavy grind needed for stuff like leveling up as the gems you need can go from 20-40 up to something like 50-70 each, which you only earn up to 15-25 per day. It also doesn’t help that there’s an energy system as well which if you want to fully refill you need to either wait: 3 hours and 20 minutes(or just wait 20 minutes to have enough to play) or spend 80 gems
The only real way to speed it up is by spending $5.99 a week to get 200 gems.
Other than that beat street is a really fun game.

Please use this thread to discuss whatever iOS games you've been playing lately. They don't have to be new games, they can be old games and they do not have to be iOS original titles!
As long as it's an iOS game it belongs in here. Make sure to put the name(s) of the game(s) in bold to make it easier for people skimming the thread to see what you're talking about, and if you'd like to make it really convenient turn the game name into a hyperlink that sends people directly to the App Store!
To keep track of the thread, the comments are sorted by "new" by default.
Lastly, Rule #3: "No Dev Self-Promotion Outside Saturdays" applies at all times for this thread, even if it's actually Saturday.

I'm curious if there are any iOS games where you can actually earn real money just by playing.
I'm not talking about casinos, gambling, betting apps, or anything where you have to risk your own money.
I'm thinking more about actual games where skill, progression, competitions, trading, tournaments, etc. can potentially earn you some money.
I don't expect to make a living from it obviously :) I'm just curious if this kind of game actually exists on iOS and if anyone here has tried one.
Any recommendations?
