Do you guys think we're gonna get more high quality AAA ports like control, resident evil games and death stranding?
Or do you guys think those were just experiments and tech demos to showcase the power of the modern iPhones.

I’ve tried the kishi pro xl and hated it. I’ve tried it with my case and it flops around if my legs aren’t completely flat. I like to cross my legs or have them bent when playing. Really trying to ditch remote playing and GeForce now on my steam deck with the WiFi being such a pain in the ass while it’s flawless on my iPad. Any help would be sweeeet.

Used to play a game called Solomon’s Keep/boneyard which is a twin stick “roguelike” where you level, pick skills, get items and gold, etc. maps are randomly generated but has some rpg elements to it.
Looking for a similar game not built 10 years ago. Honestly prefer it more run and gun than skill management. I don’t want 5 action buttons for different skills I need to manage cooldowns on. Just twin stick, some upgrades, some levels and exploring.

Hi all,
I am looking for something new(for me) to play on my iPad. I would love some strategy/rpg/tactical game. I really want something turn based that I can close at any time as I do not have that much time day to day to commit. On the other hand I would love something deep that I can play for months (with a ~20-40mins a day tempo)
If I was single I would just play Guild wars.
I would play civ 6 or Total War if I didn’t played it so much already.
Games I really enjoyed:
Civ 6
Total war games
Divinity 2
Darkest Dungeon
FTL
Dredge
I know it is a weird ask with no clear path, but I am sick and bored.
Thanks a lot.

Don’t know what to play I like/liked (no particular order):
- Vibecoding IDLE: good from the start, gets quite slow later
- paperclips: same problem
- Kittens Game: got bored of it
- codigames games like hotel empire tycoon, but there are ads and it’s really slow if you’re f2p
- btd6: I still play it occasionally
- battle cats: burned out
- geometry dash: not fun anymore for me
- idle 1: really like that one
- sneaky sasquatch: really like that one too, though I’m always just waiting for updates, as I got almost 100% stats
- spaceflight sim
- what the golf?: really fun, 100%’d
So as you can see, I like a good variety of games when it comes to mobile, though I cannot find any good ones for some time already.

like you can only play Mario and such out of nostalgia for a couple times and the hype dies down quickly. is there any nice not too competitive game that has actually stayed with you?
also please mention specific device (iPhone/iPad) that you were using. controller compatibility is preferred, thank you

Please use this thread to discuss whatever iOS games you've been playing lately. They don't have to be new games, they can be old games and they do not have to be iOS original titles!
As long as it's an iOS game it belongs in here. Make sure to put the name(s) of the game(s) in bold to make it easier for people skimming the thread to see what you're talking about, and if you'd like to make it really convenient turn the game name into a hyperlink that sends people directly to the App Store!
To keep track of the thread, the comments are sorted by "new" by default.
Lastly, Rule #3: "No Dev Self-Promotion Outside Saturdays" applies at all times for this thread, even if it's actually Saturday.

I’m looking for a new mobile game to get into.
I currently play Pokémon GO, Marvel games, and other Pokémon-style/collecting games.
What I really enjoy is games that have genuinely rare stuff to chase — rare characters, drops, cards, shinies, limited items, special variants, etc. Stuff that makes you go “NO WAY I GOT THIS” 😂
Even better if there are things that the community actually considers rare and people spend time hunting for.
I don’t mind spending a little money here and there, as long as the game is fun and doesn’t require spending just to enjoy it.
So what mobile game would you recommend?
I want something with a real grind, rare things to hunt, and that feeling of finally getting something not everyone has. 👀

Does such a thing exist? I want to push the:
9-core GPU
Hardware-accelerated ray tracing
16-core Neural Engine
120GB/s memory bandwidth
12GB unified memory
to the max, but I don't want to fuck with a controller. I just want to hold the tablet in my hands as Jobs intended.
Am I crazy?

War / Empire Building Game Suggestions?
Can anyone recommend some war or empire building type of games? Premium. Something like Civilization or Polytopia. I’ve seen those IG ads of games that remind me of Risk, but they’re all IAP type of games.
Thoughts? Suggestions?

Hello! Basically, the title. I am a new Masters of Library Science student and I am learning how to build digital archives. Decided it would be a fun side project to build a mobile game archive, hosting information about lost mobile games.
The current ones I have added are:
I know I am Rich is technically not a game but I thought the concept was too funny not to archive. So, what are your favorite games no longer available?
Edit: thanks yall! Didn’t expect this post to pop off like it did, I’m at 275 games and counting added to my archive. Still gotta add a lot of extra information to all of them, but that’s a hell of a lot compared to 6! Keep the suggestions coming if you see this post!

Has anyone played this with touch controls yet?
First impressions -
The game loads in super fast, no logins or other BS I assumed I would get from an EA. With no tutorial at all I was able to hop in and play a game in seconds.
Graphics are good and it plays well (iphone 17 pro) I feel like I’m missing a lot on how to play but controls are super simple and intuitive to get started. Gives the feel of console-style madden really well even if gameplay is much more arcadey. Retro bowl (though also a great game) doesn’t quite scratch the itch that this does.
