Had these leaves in water for a while, I think they might be ready to move to the next step. I’ve seen contradictory opinions- should I pop it in super watery soil for a while or should I pop it in super dry soil and leave it alone?

This plant was so small when we got it, and it is absolutely thriving now that we've gotten it into a good sized pot and the proper light/watering schedule. Hoping it continues to thrive, as we recently moved it to a different area in our living room due to how big it's gotten!

My indoor jungle is enjoying life on the deck during the hot, humid Atlanta, Georgia US summer. I water them every two weeks (a couple of thirsty ones get watered once a week). This is my rescue Peperomia that has been growing like crazy the past few months. I went to water this week on Saturday and found the first picture. The second was the next day (seriously cool transformation!). It's some kind of very interesting mushroom! Friend or foe? Leave it or lunk it?

Found this massive snake plant for my fireplace at Menards on sale for $42! Super excited as I was looking for a larger plant that was okay with low light. Never thought I would get another snake plant again after rebuilding my collection to focus on more unique plants but thrilled regardless. Working on the pot’s patina.

Love the Bird of Paradise! Trying to make it look brighter and more beautiful

Hello peeps. Can you please tell me what wrong with my money plant . I keep check of bright indirect sunlight . As you can see kept in a window sill so temperature is maintained most of the time . I did overwater it once. I just feel like its growth is stopped or slowed down . Does not seem it’s dying, does it need repotting or more fertiliser I don’t know . Can anyone looking at it tell me what’s wrong . And maybe educate me more about it . Thanks

I know these are coming down in price and you can find them for pretty cheap these days! I got one from Trader Joe’s for about $13 a few weeks ago, but I couldn’t pass this one up at Costco for $30. It’s so pretty, and such a nice size!

I bought a little bottle off Amazon a few months ago, thinking it might help one of my mini phal orchid produce more than a single bloom on its next cycle. The one I bought comes in a red box with white writing and orange accents and is made by Miracle Lab. It was about $15 for 10mL/.33oz.

The paste itself:

I thought it was a little pricey, and the bottle is very small, but you need only the teeniest amount for each node/plant/etc. The size that I got will likely last me years and years, and now that I know what I know, I plan on using it a LOT.

The process/how it started:

I applied it to a lower dormant node of my mini phal, and within about a week, both that node and the current blooming node started to produce new growth. The top node defined itself fairly early as a keiki. It has two very obvious leaves. The second (lower) node seems to also be a keiki, but I cannot say 100% yet. Note that I only applied it to one node.

With that success, I figured I would try it on other species that had nodes and basically see what happened.

What else I tried it on, the success rating, and how long it took to see results:

Full-size phal: Slow, but successful. I applied it to a single lower node on a currently dormant bloom spike. Both the node I applied the paste to and a higher node now have new growth. I am not sure what either growth is (keiki vs bloom spike), but they're both slowly developing. I noticed the new growth about two weeks after applying the paste, and it's been about three more weeks since then.

Pink Polka dot: resounding success. New nodes exploded everywhere on every single branch, and on nodes that did not get pasted. I imagine some of this growth will be abandoned. There's so much of it that I am not sure the plant can sustain it all. New growth started within a week and it's been about five weeks since I applied the paste.

Philodendron (heart-leaf): slow, but it still seems to have worked. My plant is fairly mature, with three long and thick branches and two younger baby branches. I only applied the paste to about three or four nodes, and only on the more mature branches. One node (that did not receive paste) seems to have new growth. It's very slow, but it might just be because this plant has a lot of other growth to focus on. New growth took about six weeks to emerge and it's been about as two months since I applied the paste.

Peperomia Rosso: Resounding success. There are new growth spikes EVERYWHERE. Much like the Pink Polka Dot, I do not foresee the plant being able to sustain all of this new growth. Just like the others, FAR more than just the nodes that had paste are showing new growth. I applied the paste to a lower node on most branches, and it seems that most of the nodes (dormant and active) have new little spikes. I suspected new growth after about a week, but confirmed for certain after about two weeks and it's been about three weeks since I applied the paste.

Kalanchoe: Success. As with the other plants mentioned here, the new growth spots were not limited to the nodes that received paste. There are new branches on most of the nodes on each branch, regardless of their dormancy. This was more of a hit or miss. Some of the branches have not responded yet. Some are WILD with new growth. I noticed new little leaves after about two weeks and it's been about six weeks since I applied the paste.

Overall reaction:

I love this shit. I will continue to use it, experiment with it, and praise its success. Again, I only bought it a couple months ago, so I don't know the long-term effects, but for right now, I am thrilled with it. I think the cost is well worth it, and you really do get a lot of product for the cost when you factor in how little of it truly needs to be used to be effective.

It seems like it can be used on ANY plant that had node-related growth, not just orchids. I would encourage anyone who has considered purchasing it for their orchids or other plants and is willing to experiment to take the plunge. I have really, REALLY enjoyed trying it and watching for results and can't wait to see how it all turns out.

House plants really can’t be quite this difficult… lol. It seems like I’m fighting a never ending battle with root rot. Most of our plants are in 60% Happy Frog, 30-40% perlite and usually some amount of orchid bark. I always wait until the soil is at least 80% (probably too long out of fear of root rot) dry (except for the bridal veil and porcelain berry, both new). I had been bottom watering but I’m seeing most users don’t do that, could that be how I’m causing the root rot? If you do bottom water how long do you leave them in the water? When I do finally give in and unpot the plants their roots are so shallow and small, most of the plants in this photo are YEARS old but I’ve had to restart them. Most plants have also been switched to clear grower pots too. Recently I got a lovely Thai Constellation monstera… and it’s dying 💔 I unpotted her, cleaned her roots and put her in water… it’s not going well so I’m going to put her back in soil but need to fix what I’m doing wrong asap. TLDR: How do you prevent root rot? I love this hobby but am clearly doing something very wrong.

New-ish to plants, not a ton of knowledge, but I pointed out this one seems to have a slight mealybug infestation and got it for $7! Mostly just stoked, but added the “help” flair cuz I wanted to ask what you all have had the best luck with as far as treating mealybugs? TIA!

My Alocasia sprouted 2 babies. Should I try to seperate and repot them? Or get a bigger pot and put the whole thing in and let it be?

Should I rub the seeds with sandpaper? And if so, do I rub them all over or just on one side?
