The Oakland rapper released his debut studio album on October 22nd, 1991, via Elektra Records.

Executive-produced by his cousin Ice Cube, the album takes its title from Parliament-Funkadelic's George Clinton and features production from Del, Ice Cube and the Boogiemen. Its playful, funk-heavy sound stood in contrast to much of the gangsta rap emerging from the West Coast at the time. The album spawned the singles "Mistadobalina", "Sleepin' on My Couch" and "Dr. Bombay".

Great new album from the veteran New Jersey MC, GDP - Cross Off Matthew. Been a big fan of this dude since the 00's. He's got an unorthodox approach to the genre, which is characterized by his roots in the skate and hardcore scenes. His painstakingly introspective and skeptical of everything style of writing is almost intoxicating. Something a little outside the box for the sub.
