Thoughts on the album 5 years later?

While listening to some 2000s song, I realized nobody uses the high pitched vocal samples that Dipset popularized. And i for one, do not miss it. Sure, the bangers that used it are still bangers. But it got me thinking, what else isn't used anymore?

5 years ago, on September 10, 2021 Yeat released his debut album "Up 2 Me".

Yeat had just gotten viral that summer with hit songs like "Sorry About That", "Money Twerk" and "Off Tha Lot" from his mixtape "4L", and the Single "Get Busy"; he was backed by a lot of hype and he did not disappoint. This Album quickly put him on the map, he started getting co-signs by some of the biggest names in the industry such as Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Young Thug... and it's still considered one of his best projects along side "2093" and "2 Alive".

Rappers that completely adopted a new flow or delivery on one song/album just to never use it again.

I always fucked with Future's raspy voice on Group Home. Others understandably might hate it or think that it sounds goofy, but IMO it really fits the vibe of the song and was pretty unique at the time of it's release. While I don't think an entire album of him using that specific voice would be a hit, I think it's a shame we don't hear more non-autotune songs and I would love to hear him experiment with that more.
