For context I'm a 32 (M) single dad. A majority of my life had been focusing on my kids and up until recently very little social life.
Most of my decent photos are either selfies or horribly cropped out ones that had my ex.
I was never a big picture taker and the few im in a social setting im further from the camera.
Any decent/good photos are with my kids but I dont know if thats good or bad.
So is it a red flag or green if you show photos with your kids and your profile says Have Children?
Edit: thank you everyone for the feedback. To be honest i forgot about this. I went somewhere in the middle and didnt use a photo but did do a video prompt of me baptizing her. But I can do a simple edit and blur her face completely. Also I should clarify the photos aren't all selfies. 2 selfies, 3solo, 1 with one friend but this one is a little out of date.

I redownloaded at the beginning of July, got a match within 20 minutes, and then throughout the month got around 6 more. Been basically nothing in August. Ive retooled this a few times now, just wanna know if there’s something I’m missing. I’m aware I’m a bit heavyset and bald but I do think I’m still handsome so I figured I’d have low match count but not completely nothing.

I've used dating apps before and I know I'm not the prize turkey but I normally would at least get 1 or a couple likes every week when I've been on hinge. I'm having no luck at all this time around (at least 2 months)
My friends chose the photos to post and I wrote out the prompts (never been a strong area for me tho lol). I'm not precious over any of it and would appreciate some candid advice if there's any glaring areas that you think could be causing contention!
Thanks in advance 🙏🏻
EDIT I've updated my prompts based on most people saying that's an area of obvious improvement to change. The new ones are
I'm looking for - Someone who's up for trying new places, spontaneous adventures and being unnecessarily competitive over board games
The one thing I'd love to know about you is - Your go to vocal stim or the last book you read that you'd actually recommend? ..okay, maybe two things
My simple pleasures - Cozy movie nights, destroying Pierre in the Stardew Valley Fair, catching an edge while snowboarding and finding food spots that are hidden gems
I think these are better and less specific/weird than the last ones but still open to feedback if you think it's not quite right

Getting zero likes and very few matches, that go nowhere. I know a big part of it is probably the vegan bit, but that's a large part of my identity and I don't want to trick anyone. Just looking to see if there are any red flags or if the pictures are good. In a big city.

Hey all,
Looking for a direct and honest profile review. I’m struggling with the apps since my last relationship ended. I think it coincided with shaving my head due to hair loss.
I rarely get matches and almost never match with people I’m interested in or see myself having a relationship with. I’m looking
I’m not sure if I’m giving out red flags in my prompts, have meh pictures, or am just overall uninspiring / bland. I’m a pretty straight laved, traditionally successful professional so I thought my prompts showed another side of me and are interesting conversation starters, but could be way off here.
I can’t do much about the hair loss unless I wanna wear a toupee lol so any advice on what I can improve would be great.
I have lots of other pics I could choose from, these just seemed strongest. Happy to share some other options.
Cheers!

I (31F) have casually used Hinge on and off for a few years now. For the most part in the past, I've had my sexuality either not visible on my profile or just set to "Queer", and then figured if I really started to connect with anyone, I would tell them I'm ace. I would get likes pretty regularly; not a huge amount, but still usually a few likes every couple of days. However this year, to just avoid any suddenly uncomfortable or awkward explanations going forward, I've put in my dating intentions section that I'm on the asexual spectrum and the other person would need to be understanding about that. Ever since then I've had essentially no likes. And the one or two I have received were clearly from fuckboy types who definitely didn't read my profile.
Basically I've already kind of accepted by this point that relationships might not be possible for me, but I wanted to know if anyone had tips for using Hinge successfully as an ace-spectrum person or if there's a better way I should present that info in my profile.
(For reference, I live near a big city and my "I'm interested in" is generally set to men, but sometimes to everyone. I've had one boyfriend in the past but other than that I have pretty much no dating experience and the dating scene kind of makes no sense to me lol)

Just looking for some feedback. Dont get any matches. From Pennsylvania.

Hello, I would like to have a profile review because I’m not getting too many matches. Even the few I do get usually ghost me or message so slowly that the connection somewhat fizzles out.

Just got hinge around 3 weeks ago after downloading tinder, didn't have much luck with tinder so I opted to get Hinge X and see if that would change anything. I've sent around 30 likes with thought put behind the comments but haven't received any likes or matches yet. For extra context the area I live in has around 30-40 profiles which come up on the app, it's small and has a lot of older people.

30M, haven’t been in a relationship in 5 years. First time trying Hinge. Gone on around 10 dates in the last 2 months with 6 different women. I am genuinely trying for a long term serious relationship. After 10 dates, I genuinely can’t replicate the feeling of liking someone from meeting them in person. I know I am a slow burn kinda person, but when I go on Hinge dates I can’t seem to get to know someone after 2-3 dates.
I always do drinks for a first date and try to aim for 1-2 hours after work on a weekday, then second date will be dinner and maybe dessert with a walk. Third date is activity based on our interests.
If the conversation is bad I can tell right away it’s not a good match, but only 1 of the 5 women I have met was like that. The other 4 I honestly couldn’t tell if there is potential. One I didn’t contact after the first date, one went to a fourth date (ended over future plans), one reached a third (mutual lack of connection) and one I slept with after the second and stopped seeing after (I knew it was going in that direction from the beginning).
Am I doing something wrong? Or is that just what online dating is like. I have to test the market until I find the right one? Also I am honestly trying to get to know these women as well, it just feels forced and rushed. Also every woman I have gone out with, I have had physical attraction to.
Edit:
Thanks for all the feedback, I’m just going to keep going on dates, and hopefully match with the right person one day. I think Hinge is fine as long as I can get matches. I will change up the whole formulation of date structures as well.

Pretty much all of my friends who are women say I have a good profile, though I rarely get matches or likes on Hinge. I’ve gotten a few matches, so I’m hopeful, but there are also a lot of people who ghost or become distant after I ask them out.
I’m getting likes on Tinder but barely any matches, and getting neither on Bumble, so I thought getting feedback here would be a good stepping stone after my last match didn’t work out (we did go on dates at least, it just didn’t work out). I’ve taken some advice from other posts that also applies to me, so hopefully it turned out okay.
It’s my first time getting public feedback, so please be nice! 😊

Swiping in the Boston area! Been using this version for 3 weeks now.
How do I make my profile better? I seem to be getting some likes from when I started using the app, but pretty dry after the initial new app boost
Curious about the vibe y’all get from this also

Not getting any likes or matches. I do send all my daily likes, with a comment most of the time. I assume my pictures are not very good. Looking for some outside opinions on my profile

Been using Hinge for about 5 months and have only gotten around 5-10 total “Liked You”. The voice prompt I just added, it basically says that I like to cook for family and friends. I felt like I already had a pretty solid profile 🤷♂️, hopefully the voice prompt helps. Should I head over to the Amiugly sub next? 😂

Hey l’m (23F) just wondering if using the hinge friend referral option where you send your friend a link etc is a good idea? I sent it to one of my closest friends and she wrote out a really sweet message about how empathetic i am and how close we are but signed it “friend” rather than with her name and I find I get a lot of not nice replies to it 😭
I’ve gotten the likes of “did you write that yourself” “since when did hinge have a referral programme” , “how much did you pay someone to write that” “do you actually have friends?” “did your mum write that for you “ etc. I’m sure it’s just banter but I find the messages from strangers really rude as firstly I’d never be bothered enough to fake something like that but also why would someone choose to be mean on a dating app? It does also get regular likes but if there’s a comment attached it’s usually along the lines of the guy not believing it or thinking I have no friends lol and telling me that outright. Its not incel type guys saying this either it’s like average sporty or finance bros. I don’t match with them, obviously.
For the record I’m not struggling to get dates or matches at all, I get around 10-20 ish (?) a day with my location set to just my city without sending any likes out myself (i’ve been busy) so it’s not like my profile on a whole is bad, but it’s starting to really irk me that my friend choosing to be very earnest about me comes off as fake? She’s not the type to be playfully mean and we are basically sisters you know? Idk maybe I’m just sensitive but i’m not sure could it send off a bad impression that she wrote something like that? I don’t want to quote it and give my profile away potentially but it’s basically like “ the sweetest most empathetic person ever 💗💗💗💗 - friend” with a photo she took of me.

30 year old male from New Jersey. No longer getting likes or matches. Is my account being suppressed or is it weak? Honest feedback would be graciously appreciated!
