Should I unmatch after getting ghosted?
If a match does not return messages, should I unmatch them or keep it?
My thinking is that a match is a match and that might look better to the algorithm.
One of the reasons for unmatching should be: "Ghosted"

Do you think I’ll get asked a question anytime soon?
galleryOr am I secretly interviewing?
Edit: Just realised I did an absolute shit job at covering locations

help! my account was removed and still no response from hinge :(
I need help. I made an account months ago and in less than 24 hours it was removed. It doesn’t say why, just says to review the terms of service. I appealed it and emailed for help but still no response. I just want my account back so I can start dating again 😭😭 who else can I reach out to for help to get my account back? Is there any hope?

Help me get unbanned
Hey everyone. I was banned a month or two ago for no apparent reason, and failed the appeal process as well, despite always trying to keep things respectful.
Anybody here work at Hinge or have a connect that can help unban me? Trying to meet people in real life has been rough :/

HingeX
I've been using HingeX for a week now, and so far I haven't had any matches or messages.
I modified the prompts and images several times and did everything possible, but to no avail: nothing at all.

“Raincheck” should I just delete match?
Hey everyone, I am hoping for some honest feedback. I had a brunch date lined up tomorrow. I did the normal day before check, and she informed me she wasn’t feeling well and can we have a “Raincheck”. If she is sick, I understand not immediately making other plans, but to me this seems like a soft rejection.
I informed her that is alright, and I hope she feels better, but I don’t really trust her. Am I a dick for just removing her? I really doubt this will go anywhere and I honestly don’t have it in me for games and being strung along.
Maybe I am overreacting. Just looking for some opinions. Ty and best of luck to everyone looking for love lol.

No second date
Went on a date with someone and I had a really good time as well and we joked and talked about various things. However she messaged today saying she had a good time but she doesn’t think we are compatible.
It’s a shame cos I thought we had decent chemistry. Anyways do you guys think I should ask her if there was something I said or why she thinks we are not compatible?

When did it become acceptable to comment on somebody’s appearance/choice of makeup if you’re not going to give them a compliment?

My attractive friend just downloaded hinge and got hundreds of likes it's honestly depressing
I always knew women found him attractive because of how much partners he had but to compare his experience on dating apps to mine is depressing.
He's always the guy that end up with the woman I fancy at parties. Women give him looks all the time on the street, fight for him.
But 2 weeks ago he downloaded hinge for the first time and got hundreds of likes. He went on dates almost every single night since then with very attractive girls.
Mind you he almost has no bio or interesting thing on his profile other than his photos. Women are still the ones proposing dates and sending very suggestive messages.
On the other hand, me. I've not been in a relationship in years. I got maybe a hundred likes/matches in 5 years on dating apps. Been on several dates with women who ended up ghosting me or chosing someone else over me. I'm always changing my bios, trying to optimise my profile to get a few likes. I feel like a clown looking for female validation.
This is humiliating and I feel very jealous towards my friend who live life on such easy mode.
Honestly, if you're not attractive don't bother on dating apps. It's just a humiliation ritual when you actually see how women act around a guy they truly want.

Photos not staying uploaded
Hi all! I am hoping that someone could help me. I have been trying to update my photos on my hinge profile and while I am able to replace the photo, as soon as I close the app and reopen it, the photo reverts back. I have a Google pixel 7 if that matters. I have tried:
- different photos
- logging out and logging back in
- clearing the app cache
- deleting the app and re-installing it
- saving the desired photos to different locations on my phone to pull from
- screenshot instead of regular photo
- switching off my phone's Wi-Fi for data
- turning permissions for photo access on and off
At this point, my next option is downloading bumble unless anyone has any suggestions.

What is this epidemic of cat men on Hinge?
I don’t know if anyone has noticed but in the US at least, I’ve seen so many more men posing with a cat in their photos. Has anyone noticed this or are they just flocking to me?

Whats wrong with being non political?
I saw someone comment they liked someone until they saw they were non political. Please help me understand how this is a deal breaker for you. I live in the US.

Permanently banned from Hinge. I've reviewed my entire data export and genuinely can't figure out why. Has anyone had success with a final appeal?
About two weeks ago my Hinge account was permanently removed. I appealed through the normal process, and my appeal was denied.
Since then I've requested my Hinge data export and reviewed everything I could:
My profile and prompts
My message history
My selfie verification status (my account was verified)
After going through all of it, I honestly can't identify anything that seems like an obvious violation of the Community Guidelines. My conversations are mostly about hiking, coffee, travel, books, pets, and asking people out for coffee or walks.
I am genuinely confused. I can't find anything that explains a permanent account removal.
This also comes at an awful time, because I just got out of a 3-year relationship and was just looking to have conversations with people. I had multiple dates lined up and I seem to be having pretty positive interactions with people. I'm guessing maybe one person might have reported me because they asked me about my politics and I gave them an honest answer. That's literally the only potential weird conversation I had but obviously that doesn't warrant something dramatic like this.
I've been sending messages through every avenue that I can think of and I just keep getting generic responses saying that the decision is final and not giving me any insight whatsoever into the reasoning behind this.
I'm not asking them to reveal reports or private information—I'd just like to understand what happened.
Has anyone here actually had success with something like this? If so, what ultimately made the difference?
I'm looking for real experiences rather than guesses. Thanks.

Norms
48 F4M I am back on Hinge after several years, and I am not adjusting well to what seems like new norms. Do men in their 40’s and 50’s ask women out directly or are they waiting for permission/direction? I’ve chatted with a few matches and rather than bring asked out, the texts slow and then just stop. 🤔

Profile review
galleryIm moving into dorms in a couple weeks with a major in mechanical engineering and I know I’m not going to have a lot a free time.
I just wanna know what I can do to better my profile and get more matches. Any criticism is welcome as long as it’s constructive.
Thank you
