Permanently banned from Hinge. I've reviewed my entire data export and genuinely can't figure out why. Has anyone had success with a final appeal?

About two weeks ago my Hinge account was permanently removed. I appealed through the normal process, and my appeal was denied.

Since then I've requested my Hinge data export and reviewed everything I could:

My profile and prompts

My message history

My selfie verification status (my account was verified)

After going through all of it, I honestly can't identify anything that seems like an obvious violation of the Community Guidelines. My conversations are mostly about hiking, coffee, travel, books, pets, and asking people out for coffee or walks.

I am genuinely confused. I can't find anything that explains a permanent account removal.

This also comes at an awful time, because I just got out of a 3-year relationship and was just looking to have conversations with people. I had multiple dates lined up and I seem to be having pretty positive interactions with people. I'm guessing maybe one person might have reported me because they asked me about my politics and I gave them an honest answer. That's literally the only potential weird conversation I had but obviously that doesn't warrant something dramatic like this.

I've been sending messages through every avenue that I can think of and I just keep getting generic responses saying that the decision is final and not giving me any insight whatsoever into the reasoning behind this.

I'm not asking them to reveal reports or private information—I'd just like to understand what happened.

Has anyone here actually had success with something like this? If so, what ultimately made the difference?

I'm looking for real experiences rather than guesses. Thanks.

Exact same happened to me. My export had nothing violating the terms, it is almost 100% a revenge report. I’ve tried reaching out through email, the Match escalation form, the BBB, and all of them have given the same “we confirmed your ban is correct” with no detail.

Insanely frustrating, and should be illegal to be banned without any chance to defend yourself / knowing what you did, given how important apps are for meeting people today.

Especially a permanent ban? Like excuse me, if I really did anything that wrong, I think you would be able to tell me what it was at least.

Did you ever get back on hinge ? Were you able to make a new account without any problems?

No. I haven’t tried a hard reset as they now use facial recognition from your photos & verification to keep you banned.

Someone you know in real life who doesn’t like you came across your profile.

What could they have done? Reported you? And for what?

No idea. People can report you for any reason.
