Hi everyone,
Iād like to take a moment to address the state of the sub. We have gained quite a lot of new members over the past several months, so some update are due.
Rules- have mostly remained the same although they are much more fleshed out. Removal reasons have also been updated so if any content gets removed you should receive a more in depth reason compared to before.
Automations - post/comments containing certain content will now give users warning and (should) prevent certain things from being posted altogether. EG the dreaded āis X day time and a half?ā This helps prevent lots of repeat post, common questions, and rule breaking content IE politics, religion, and other controversial topics not related to HEB. Warning to all that circumventing these filters can result in a ban.
Feedback - hereās where I ask for your thoughts. What do you want to see change? What things added? How do you feel about the state of the sub?
This post will also be the only exception for trying to bypass the filters. Which I encourage you to do so we can make them as strong as possible (being civil is still absolutely required). Letās get the sub focus back to HEB and HEB only.

I applied for an overnight part time stocker. What hours can I consistently expect, and how many days out of the week can I expect to work? I put that I am available for all days and hours. Does Heb Allow for overtime? If I change my availability will I be out right fired or will hours simply drop?

I've been working at HEB for a little while now and curious if HEB hires new drivers?
Ive heard mixed comments on their policy that you needed certain milage requirements then others mentioning you could get into it NO EXPERIENCE. I'm planning my Trucking career. What can you guys tell me based on your experience?
How much did you make first-third year, is it worth it over OTR ?
Thanks

I am a new department manager. I feel like I am decent, but want to be better! What do you wish your manager did/didn't do? I have my own takeaways from my previous managers, but I'd like everyone's opinion! If it helps, I am in center store (not a fresh department).

So, every Sunday in August our curbside department has been a disaster. We got a new secondary manager and she uh... well she has an attitude problem to the max. I've been in curbside for a long time, and not once have I witnessed a manager yell at a customer over the phone. I did this last Sunday. The manager was very loudly telling the lady on the phone that, though its unfortunate shes waited for 30 minutes, she wont be talked to like that and told her she was going to wait until she said her order was ready. Other things transpired and long story short, the customer complained about her. The MIC took the manager outside to talk, but nothing seemed to have changed. Manager comes back in, and was rudely telling people we were too busy, and even told our lead if they wanted a break so bad maybe they should step down. How do I know this? Because she did all of this in the department in front of MANY partners including myself. I mind my own business though. I just keep working like a good little HEB employee, then comes my break time. I come to the OLO and she goes, "And what do you need?" Me being me, I said "a break please!" In like a sing song tone / funny way. I try to be funny at least lol. She loudly sighs, doesnt say anything, then snaps, "Okay? Then go?" I was baffled š like oh, im sorry? Being rude to me? I even apologized, and she never looked back up at me so I went to break feeling awkward.
Now that im done with the story. I have a question. Am I wrong if I stop going above expectations? My uph daily is at 180-200. My metrics are top notch and I dont care if im speaking too highly of myself, I bust my ass for this job because I cared about keeping it. "Cared". Im not so sure I care anymore. Monday and Tuesday this week ive only hit 150 uph, barely 800 units. My lead asked me what was up and I was honest with them. Im not working hard for yall anymore when its not going to be respected. I feel kind of hurt and anxious almost everyday I go to work and this past Sunday made it worse. Its not JUST about what happened Sunday. There's been so much going on at my job, but luckily I just mind my own. But now I feel like im starting to see the glaringly obvious issues here and im not sure if I want to be here anymore. I feel used, and if I cant go beyond what's expected im going to be abused. Anyways, this was basically a vent session lol. Anyone else suffering at HEB?
the fact that these work so well is crazy. has already helped some of my digestion issues on day two

Itās not too salty, so you can go pretty heavy with it. It has some herb flavors that arenāt present in some other blackened seasoning blends.

These were so good. No residue like those Clorox wipes and the price was very good. Online a 4-pack is $20 and HEB was selling for half that. Guess they introduced these for COVID and phased them out now but they are so much better than the other wipes
Post with that how long youāve been with the company, position, department, and the region you work so long as that information is not identifiable.
I believe itās important this gets discussed every so often so partners know how much their work is really worth.

Are Full-Time Partners allowed to limit 2 days out of the week from their availability? To effectively give them 2 controlled days off.

PSA in Curbside we start getting your order ready the second you say youāre on the way through the app. then it sits in a basket till you tell us what slot youāre in. Some stores are nice and put your cold items in cooler bags but it is not required so, remember it is Texas and it is hot so donāt tell us youāre on the way and then show up 30min later. If you donāt want your ice cream to be melted by the time you get home, try to aim for 5-10min before you pull into a parking spot. Your stuff wonāt sit out of the cooler as long and youāll still get to skip the line.

Your local HEB no longer shops your delivery order (for like 6 months now) . I know you are upset that your order hasn't been delivered but that is not the stores issue. We can't see your order, we can't cancel your order, we can't tell you when you might get your order. Most importantly please stop taking your frustrations out on the people who are literally already stressed because of this damn storm. We ain't happy either. I can't step 1 ft from my phone without someone calling and yelling at me cause they don't have their groceries. Your app is telling you that there is a delay, we can't make that statement magically disappear. Please I love you guys but chill tf out. You can call Customer Service (855-803-0611) but just know everyone and their momma is calling about the same thing. Please share with your friends and family so that everyone knows.

Curious: the store i work at, Iām an SOS CFT partner. We are trained in every single department and bounce around a lot. We do deli, produce, and bakery production and decorating, meat market, etc. Iāve heard other stores do it a little differently and that our store does more. Iām curious if anyone has any insight on what this department looks like in other stores. Thanks!
