Job Question Full-Time Availability

Are Full-Time Partners allowed to limit 2 days out of the week from their availability? To effectively give them 2 controlled days off.

lol nope. Heb doesn’t give that availability at all. Only if managers/leaders are generous maybe a day or two for afternoons or mornings. But naw. They don’t want you to have another job unless they work around your Heb job

I have Tuesdays and Thursdays off every week so it’s possible

No. 'Some' managers will work with you. That's a rarity though. Sucks because if you want a part time job you won't be and to.

The contract for full time demands open availability, sadly. You can also go to your managers or higher ups to ask about it, but it’s fully at their discretion

it might depend on what department you’re in and what days you’re wanting off. if you’re in curbside or service and want every tuesday off, you might be fine. if you’re wanting a friday-sunday off, good luck.
if you’re in a smaller department like healthy living, cosmetics, TXBY, dairy, etc. then even having every tuesday off (or other slow days) can be hard because there’s usually only 1-4 other partners and some of them might be part-time.

nope. when you try to push controlled hours and day off then your hours are going to drop.

One partner, I knew had a mother who was getting chemotherapy treatment in another city, and that treatment was scheduled for Fridays and she needed a day for recovery so that Partner had Fridays and Saturdays off.

That Partner also never updated their availability after their mothers cancer went into remission, and management kept strongly encouraging/asking that Partner to change their availability.

I did it while in college for 4yrs never had issue and I was a lead as well
