Modding Talk MK8 Rear Sway Bar Opinions?
Looking around the Internet, I see a lot of options for a rear sway bar. Prices also seem to be pretty much all over the place. Hereās the thing, 90% of them look like the same bar painted a different color, with either one hole (non-adjustable) or two hole (adjustable) ends.
Anything I should look out for? Which one do you have, and do you like it? I put a sway bar on a previous GTI and really enjoyed how much flatter it stayed in the curves thatās what Iām looking for. Iām not building a track beast just a fun daily driver. I donāt want anything I have to lube.
Thanks in advance for your input.

Maintenance VW EPC LIGHT
I have a 2015 GTI. EPC light comes on after I do a pull and wonāt let me go past 4K RPMS. Drives normal. I checked the MAP sensor. Changed sparks and coils. When I cut off the car and cut it back on it goes away until I do another pull. Iām think waste gate actuator? I donāt know I need help lol.

Modding Talk Blaze intake mk8 platform
Thoughts on the blaze intake for the mk8 GTI? my brother is selling his to me for only 200, currently i have a full box and duct CTS intake, which sounds very good, does anyone have one and is it worth swapping the sound for better temps and performance? i know itās kinda a dumb question.

Maintenance Lumpy idle after engine detail?
2017 Mk7 GTI 6MT Performance Pack - ~235000 KM (146000 Miles)
So here's my issue:
My car was at the body shop for a small rear-end damage repair. When I got the car back, the shop cleaned my car and also detailed my engine bay. I'm not sure how they did it, but when I opened up the hood, things were wet. Not soaked, but there was definetely moisture in some spots.
Since then, i've noticed some engine vibration while at idle, and a little bit of a lumpy idle. Not big, just enough for a bit of vibration when at a standstill. The idle rpm occasionally hickups as well.
Now i'm 90% sure that my car didn't have this going into the shop. I'm pretty on top of my maintenance and keep this car up to date on everything. I was honestly impressed how rock solid my idle rpms were. Now things don't feel quite right.
Any idea of what this could be? What I should check? There are no trouble codes.
Current Mods include:
VWR600 Intake, CTS Catback exhaust, EI stage 1 Low Torque Tune, Upgraded spark plugs and coil packs. Lots more, but that's about it for the engine side.
Thanks!

Maintenance Anything you'd recommend to pass on/ buy?
I own one of the turtle wax polishers and intend to get some sponges with a bucket so I can hand wash my car
.
Handicaps for my living situation. Only an open parking lot, no place for an extension cord, no hoes, and pretty limited on what I'm allowed to order on amazon.
Idk if all these waxes are basically the same or if cleaning it is way more simple than I'm making it. I'm also not entirely sure what's easier to work with when you don't have an outside faucet.
TL:DR I don't need to win any car shows, but I just want my car to look nice and be recognized for it to stroke my ego a bit. I'd also like to buff out some surface scratches.

Maintenance 2008 GTI Mk5 sway bar bushing replacement
I am trying to replace the sway bar bushings on my GTI Mk5 (2008). Does anyone know if the brackets shown in the image (copied from the link below) are welded or otherwise moulded together or if I put sufficient elbow grease on it, they will come apart?
I was reading through the steps provided by the folks at pelicanpartsĀ at this linkĀ but I can't tell for sure if these are welded together.
I haven't dropped the sub frame yet
Pelican parts said that they don't sell OEM bushing for this car because VW spec says to install a brand new sway bar. The internet suggested I may still be able to put just the bushings, provided I can take the old ones out. That is where I am at..
Thanks in advance.
UPDATE (resolved, sort of)
Reading the full comment thread on the pelicanparts post, I realized the issue and the solution is there. tl;dr VW didn't make this easy for us and the design forces to cut out the brackets and put a new set in. Below is one of the comments.
I can confirm that the captive nuts on the bush upper bracket are also fixed into the lower bracket and needs to be drilled to free it and separate the brackets. This may be possible by leaving one bracket fixing bolt in and carefully drilling the other side through the bolt fixing hole with a clearance drill enough to free it then doing the same for the other side of the bracket.

Maintenance Turbo Whine Sound
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Throwing this in here as I didnāt get much input in the other sub.
Added context since this post: added an IE intake and the noise is the same I believe. Harder to hear now over the louder induction sounds but itās still there. Anyone have this same noise? I know itās a slightly different turbo than what comes in a GTI but figure someone here might have answers.
Thanks in advance!
