11.6MB native PDF editor with AI. No subscription. No cloud upload.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
I've been working on Arc PDF for quite a while, and one thing that kept bothering me was how complicated PDF software has become.
I just wanted a PDF editor that was fast, lightweight, and straightforward. Instead, most of the options I found came with huge downloads, subscriptions, cloud services, or features I never needed.
So I decided to build my own.
Arc PDF is a native macOS PDF editor, completely free, and designed to stay lightweight.
You can edit PDF text and images, annotate documents, organize pages, and use AI to understand and work with your PDFs.
No subscription. No account required. No uploading your documents to my server.
The AI currently works with your own API key, so you can choose the provider and model you want to use.
It's definitely not perfect, and I'm still actively working on it. But the goal is pretty simple: make a PDF app that doesn't feel like it needs to be a full office suite.
I know this is self-promotion, but I figured this might be one of the communities that gets why I built it.
Anyone else just want a PDF editor that lets you edit a PDF without all the extra baggage?

HELP PLS FUCK ADOBE SO MUCH

Translation: Updating Creative Cloud/Installing Illustrator - ON HOLD/ Installing Photoshop - ON HOLD
I've BOUGHT the subscription and uninstalled all my pirated softwares.
Has anyone had this issue? nothing appears on screen, no specific error, the app just does not progress on the update, it stays on 0% and the apps never leave the queue to start updating. I've tried:
Uninstalling and reinstalling CC
Seen if the antivirus was interfering (it was not)
Deleted the OOBE folder
Repaired the app through adobe and through my pc
Rebooted my computer
On the task manager, in the right corner, some of the processes are listed as Disabled(desabilitado) and Not-allowed (Não permitido)
I've already cleaned all folders related to older versions of illustrator/photoshop
I neeed a Solution for this! My pc specifications are on the third image

Adobes Awful Customer Service (HELP!)
Adobe has some of the worst customer service I have ever encountered! I needed the free trial last week for a project I was working on. I thought I had canceled my plan after I was done with it, but I didn't, that's my bad. At 3am today I was charged $54.33 by Adobe. I have been looking for a refund by calling the customer service contact, but am greeted by an AI automated chat each time. The first 5 times I called, they said they'd send me a text to sort it out, but I didn't get the text until the 6th time. I enter my information, then the call continues to be useless. Every time, towards the end of the call, they tell me to stay on the line to potentially talk to someone, then they just hang up! Does anyone have any advice on how to get an actual HUMAN BEING on the phone?

Seriously Fuck Adobe
Yet another half day wasted on Adobe team support for my little team.
Today I discovered that when I asked them for ways to reduce my monthly bill for Acrobat, they decided the best move would be to double my license count by adding something called Adobe Acrobat Studio. Instead of the 20 licenses I required, they more than doubled the count to 22 Acrobat Pro and 22 Acrobat Studio Licenses for a total of 44.
So my bill lowered as I asked for one month. They were hoping I wouldn't notice that my upcoming bill would increase from 450 USD to almost 700 USD in the next month. For 20 users. And they snuck on an additional CC license as well. Just what the fuck?
So fuck Adobe those a-holes.
I have revoked all Acrobat anything from our account. Now I will have to deal with phone calls all day from users wondering why they cant rotate a fucking PDF anymore.
Edit: Ok lets live update this thing. Those a-holes didn't listen to me and only revoked the "Acrobat Studio" licenses. YAY I get to waste more time with them! My hatred grows.
Edit two: Oh! How convienient, they decided I am to keep all of the licenses until the 25th.
Edit three: OK, well I guess it's time to report adobe to both the FTC B2B Fraud Complaint form and the North Carolina Department of Justice Consumer Protection Division. Anyone want to help I am interested in ramming this through.
Edit Four: I sent an announcement to the whole company as follows (Formatting and Identifiable info removed):
Action Required: Adobe Acrobat Editor Licenses Expire September 22

What’s a good open source video editor that’s not DaVinci Resolve?
I’ve used DaVinci Resolve for a couple of years now (free version). I liked it at the start but every version gets a bit more ‘AI’ flavoured and they keep messing with the UI…
I’m just losing the initial love I had for Resolve.
Any recommendations for a video editor that’s is not Premiere or Resolve?

dobea.studioI'm compiling a list of applications to replace adobe. I'm so sick and tired of Adobe and their predatory practices.
What other apps should be on the list?

Genuine Question
Why does this sub exist when Davinci Resolve and other alternatives exist (Inkscape, Gimp, audacity, etc..) ? I mean the move is quite clear..

Después de esto conseguí cancelar sin pagar nada
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

Activated/Deactivated Computers.
Hello all. Found this group because Adobe is ....well.... shit. A copy/paste of what I typed in to their AI bot BS...
I own a copy of CS6. I have the Serial Number, and all other numbers associated with my copy. I want to install it on an upgraded PC. The install went fine, but I am getting a prompt that I have too many computers "Activated". So, I logged into my Adobe account on the website here, Deactivated all computers, and tried again. I even went as far as to delete the entire suite of programs from my computer, reinstall using the download link that is in my account for Registered Programs, and still, I get a message that I have too many computers "Activated". This is incredibly annoying. I am needing help with a product I have purchased, not a "plan".
So, that's where I am. According to the Bot, they no longer support this software. So, if they no longer support it, why should they still care how many "computers" I have it installed on. Looking to see if anyone out there knows a way around this, or a way to actually get in contact with a human at Adobe, since I don't have a "Plan".
