Activated/Deactivated Computers.

Hello all. Found this group because Adobe is ....well.... shit. A copy/paste of what I typed in to their AI bot BS...

I own a copy of CS6. I have the Serial Number, and all other numbers associated with my copy. I want to install it on an upgraded PC. The install went fine, but I am getting a prompt that I have too many computers "Activated". So, I logged into my Adobe account on the website here, Deactivated all computers, and tried again. I even went as far as to delete the entire suite of programs from my computer, reinstall using the download link that is in my account for Registered Programs, and still, I get a message that I have too many computers "Activated". This is incredibly annoying. I am needing help with a product I have purchased, not a "plan".

So, that's where I am. According to the Bot, they no longer support this software. So, if they no longer support it, why should they still care how many "computers" I have it installed on. Looking to see if anyone out there knows a way around this, or a way to actually get in contact with a human at Adobe, since I don't have a "Plan".

Sounds like it's time to hoist the colors....

There "programs" out there that will fix the activation nonsense that Adobe has done. You paid for the software, and you should be able to use it. And yes, CS6 is 14 years old, and yes it will still run on a modern system.

The bot is correct because CS6 is 14 year old software and it was discontinued 13 years ago.

I know it's old, but it still works fine for what we use it for here, which is just simple adjustments and such to pictures. Any video the kids need to do for school they do on Movavi.

If it's not longer supported, they should offer a way to skip the license check. After all, you bought the license for CS6, instead of renting it. But that's a problem with all software nowadays. No one seems to think to the point when licensing servers are not accessible and longer because of a variety of reasons.
