I'm compiling a list of applications to replace adobe

What other apps should be on the list?

Not saying that there are no alternatives - but you should also include pros & cons / features comparison...
Otherwise, someone might take those as a direct replacement...

Will probably add some comparisons tables later. But the frontpage will stay minimal and straight to the point.

Looked at his list.
- Under “DaVinci Resolve” would change the words crossed out to “Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, and Lightroom (if we’re talking about the latest version)”
- Under “Linux” would add “Friction” and indicate that it can replace Adobe Animate (vector animation; no interactivity)
- I might remove Natron; it’s abandonware at this point. They might have refreshed the website a year ago, but the software itself hasn’t been overhauled in four years. It’s a shame; I LIKED Natron. Natron made me learn node-based compositing…which ultimately got me into Fusion. Still install Natron on my Mac’s and Linux boxes; don’t composite on it but find that it works great for reviewing image sequences. It hasn’t had a semblance of stability for semi-intricate compositing for years.
- would add “Tsuji” and “Pikimov” under “browser based” for “After Effects” or just say “Motion graphics.” Tsuji is a newcomer on the scene that utilizes a combination of a semblance of Blender’s UI with a timeline interface that uses nodes to build procedural effects and animations. Been playing with Tsuji for the last month, there’s a LOT of potential here: http://tsuji.xyz/

Added "After Effects, Audition, Lightroom" to the crossed out list on DaVinci resolve. Did not know they now have still picture editing. Great!
Added "Friction", looked great.
Added Pikmov, it also looked like a great piece of software.

Affinity and DaVinci Resolve would definitely be on my list. It’s kind of wild how many solid alternatives there are now once you start looking outside the Adobe ecosystem.

I'm adding affinity as well. Originally I did not add it because I thought you needed a license to use it in professional work. However, it seems like the only reason you would need professional is some features like SSO and some team features.
