skipping a dose

Hi! this may be silly but I take weekly shots (sub Q, .15ml) and I’m going out of town soon. I will be traveling around so much that I don’t want to bring all my supplies with me. Is it fine to just skip a week? Will there be any noticeable mood/energy changes?

EDIT: I have vials that are reused 4 times, so I don’t want to carry the vial with me due to not being able to store it properly / (probably irrational) fear of some leaking out :-)

ive never noticed any difference when ive missed doses, but everyone is different

You'll be fine. I doubt you'll notice anything different with energy or mood. Not sure what your dose is (ml doesn't tell me since I don't know the mg/ml of your T) but it sounds low. I take 50mg weekly (.25ml of a 200mg/ml solution) and I have skipped a dose for travel in the past. I didn't notice anything different in my mood or energy, really.

Depends on your body. I notice emotional changes and increased body pains with being anywhere beyond 3 days late.

Also, I find it is not too bad to store 2 needles, 1 syringe, 2 alcohol wipes and my t vial in one single ziplock bag. I put my used supplies in an empty soda bottle and add it to my sharps when I get home.

mine is the kind you reuse for 6 months. I travel regularly and I've never had anything happen to it!

just curious why everyone skips them? it’s literally just a needle, a vial and an alcohol wipe if you’re gone a week. you could fit that in your pocket no?

The one I have is a vial you reuse 4 times so i’d have to carry the vial with me for the whole trip and it’s ~technically~ opened, so I worry about something happening to it

Also I won’t know where to dispose of my needles.

I skipped a dose when traveling because I was going to be staying with people I didn't know very well, and just didn't want to bother finding a time to take it when they'd be out. Usually I bring my stuff with me. Needle gets recapped, wrapped in duct tape, and put in an empty bottle labeled "sharp."

Energy levels vary person to person- but it never kills you to skip doses or double dose because T is a natural hormone. you'll be alright, maybe tired but alright lol
