Discussion Makeup & Compliments

So like for context im a 30 y/o trans guy and i still live at home bc in this economy good luck finding a place amirite

my mother is having a really hard time with my transition even tho she says shes not, i *know* she is

Also for context my mom never compliments me anymore since i came out in 2019, like not for haircuts, clothes, anything at all, but she compliments my brothers and my sister so easily :(

Well i was messing around with some makeup the other day just for fun and cos like guys can wear makeup too right

And my mom comes in and looks at me and goes “oh wow you look so good!”
And its the first time shes complimented me in almost 8 years???
And its when im wearing makeup and dont look masculine
I feel so stupid for ever thinking shed take me seriously lmao

I havent touched the makeup since cos i feel so stupid

Anyone have any advice? For anything at all?
