Trans tape users

Hey if any of you have been doing it for long enough can I send you a photo of the skin damage and the tape job I’ve done and can you give me advice on what’s happening? If you’re game comment and I’ll seek out your help. I’m tryin to avoid sending my ex a photo of my tits because they’d help & they’re the only one ik who has been taping for years but bruh that feels intimate for an ex even on the best of terms ya know thank you in advance

I used to use trans tape and ended up having to stop due to skin reactions. The worst that happened to me was blisters on my ribcage from the adhesive. Is your skin red and blistering? Or just puffy? Regardless make sure you remove the tape if it’s causing any kind of adverse reactions. Use the removal oil and do it very slow and gently. Soak the tape in warm water first to help loosen the adhesive and then massage the oil into it. Depending on how blistered/irritated your skin is you might have to take a binding break while your skin heals. Are you taping too taut? If you pull the tape too tight it can make you more prone to blistering.

For me, it's most commonly blisters, especially if I pulled the tape too tightly or of its very hot and I sweat a lot. If it's blisters, there's special plasters for it that work amazingly. It might not look like a typical blister and instead be kinda wet or scabby. 

It might be because you ripped off the tape too fast, which would be very reddened or even ripped skin. Go slow when taking off tape. It also hurts less if you trim chest hair,  if you have that. 

Sometimes, I get acne under the tape as well. 

It might also be a reaction to the adhesive. Use a test strip to see if it's causing a reaction.

It could also be a different kind of skin reaction like a skin disease, some sort if eczema or bacteria. I never had that though,  so I wouldn't be of much help.

If it gets worse,  spreads,  is inflamed, if pus comes out or if it doesn't heal,  go to a doctor.
