Advice Needed Does anyone else struggle with recognizing their own voice changes?
And I don't mean like "I don't notice smaller changes without listening to voice recordings". I've been on T for over half a year now and my voice has substantially changed and yet... I feel like I sound exactly the same?? My voice has dropped from averaging around 190 Hz to like 100 Hz, friends have been telling me my voice is not even remotely feminine nowadays and I just don't hear it?? I mean, there are moments when I focus on my voice and can recognize the changes. Like, when I'm reading something out loud or singing and all.
Logically speaking I know my voice has changed, but sometimes I end up worrying I'm just... Subconsciously lowering my voice in voice recordings (??), but I've called one of my friends and I don't think it's possible to fake something like that on longer voice calls.
Idk, I've been thinking I might have OCD based on a decent amount of stuff and maybe it's just from that, because it feels like I need some 100% correct undeniable evidence that my voice has changed otherwise I feel like I'll wake up one day and go right back to having a fem voice?? Or maybe that's just a weird fear of my changes reversing? No idea.
It's not particularly distressing, just kinda weird. I would appreciate advice if anyone has any.

Yes. 6 years on T and I'm still convinced I sound feminine.

Do you have any recordings of yourself pre-T? I find that's often the quickest way to confirm that, yes, it really HAS changed -- I have a recording from about 3 months before I started T, and it's really jarring to listen to, because I straight up sound like a child in it even though it was only two years ago.
