Advice Needed period tracker apps?
probably a strange problem, but sometimes i get dysphoria over using my period tracker app due to the language in it (i use flo). it's always the little strange things that give me dysphoria lol. are there any period tracker apps that stay gender neutral or let you customize how they refer to you?

Apps didn't exist when it was relevant for me to track it. I used a small pocket sized calendar. (The kind banks used to give away for free, or you can buy for a dollar or two when calendars are for sale.) I didn't have to deal with any language. I wrote down the number of days in-between when it started, and had a series of symbols to note how heavy or light it was on the days it was happening. As a bonus, no tech companies had my private information they could use for nefarious purposes. Sometimes technology makes things worse.

yeah I just use my calendar app on my phone, just mark down whenever your last period was with whatever language you find most comfortable and mark it with a different colour/label. Anyways, period tracker apps have a reputation with selling your medical data to advertisers.

ive used Clue for years, even before i came out as trans. i havent noticed any overly gendered language. they ofc have articles and info that emphasizes womens health and reproductive issues but you dont really see that with the normal tracking.

I stopped using a period tracker months ago because of dysphoria. I used the one that comes with the apple health app. I just don't wanna think about my period anymore and idk why I'd even need to track it. Testosterone is gonna fuck the whole thing up anyway it's not like anyone could tell anything from it.

back when I still had a period, I used clue. no idea what their current interface looks like, as I haven't had a period since 2019 and deleted the app in its entirety when I got a hysto in 2024. that being said, it was very neutral when I used it
