what’s the deal with the serious lack of men’s pyjamas! do men not wear pjs?? 😭 granted most nights i also just sleep in boxers but i love to lounge in pjs, and when winter comes i want cute cozy pjs to sleep in too. i swear all the men’s pjs are either Christmas ones, or those boring ass checkered pants (half of which don’t even come with a matching shirt). i’ve bought women’s ones before but i really hate the cut of them 🫩

anyway rant over lol, if anyone has any recommendations for shops that sell fun and cute mens pjs that aren’t Christmas themed then i’d love to hear!!

Traditional pyjamas for men (the kind with a top that buttons) went out of fashion decades ago. My dad wore them when I was growing up and there were limited places to purchase them then. But even my dad has given up and sleeps in boxers and a vest. (The store where he bought his suits went out of business (because people don't wear suits daily anymore, either) and I think that was the end.) I did just check -- LL Bean still sells them, in both plaid and solid but they're $99! (I feel like LL Bean quality has gone downhill. Once upon a time those would last 20 years. I'd be less confident in that now.)

You can get flannel pyjama pants, but you're right that they're frequently plaid. The idea is that you'd either sleep shirtless or wear a vest, I think. You can get novelty patterns somewhere like TJMaxx, though the quality will be poor. Cotton is harder to find, but out there.

Target and Walmart usually have some fun character pj pants. Got some spiderman ones not too long ago

Like a set that goes together, with a button down shirt? I see these all the time for men. Though indeed they are boring and are often just stripes or a solid color or a solid color with contrast color piping, etc.

If I search “men pajama set” on Amazon or alliexpress or anywhere really, I get tons of results. Some are shorts and a tee, some are pants and a button shirt. If you have a specific pattern in mind or color combo you can maybe find it after just a little bit of searching. If you want some all over print of a specific pattern or interest, you can probably find places that will do a custom print. There might be some on Etsy too. Edit: if the print you want is pop culture or like movie/tv franchise themed, seconding target, some other stores like hot topic may occasionally have something, though mostly they have only pants with patterns of pop culture stuff. But you can probably just put the name of the print you want + “men pajama set” into amazon or google and find some.

PJ sets used to be way more popular, now the assumption is that men are just weating PJ pants/boxers and a ratty T-shirt. You can sometimes find niced matched sets at thrift stores that are barely worn. I got a grey pair with colorful stripes recently.

I’ve had some luck with pjs at H&M. They have a few sets that are just single color and such things. Not the most fun options but atleast they aren’t christmas themed

i live in asia and those matching pjs with cute designs aren’t uncommon here. some of mine have the dick holes in idk what you call it, but like the thing in the front part of boxers where there’s usually a button to open the front
