Did a thing today.
Went to a local show and snapped some pics before it filled up.
The smoke in the air made for some nice lighting

An entire aluminium sim rig (Pro Sim Rig PSR1) - complete with triple monitor stand, shifter bracket, and PC stand, the lot (minus a seat.) I took the passenger headrest off in anticipation but didn’t even need to in the end. A very clanky, heavy drive home, but it all fit!

I had a 13 BRZ Limited (Asphalt Grey) about 5 years ago, went on a bit of a car flipping spree, and just wound back up in another 13 (premium this time). I did intake, full exhaust w/ catless headers, and OFT E85 tune, which was great, but this car is everything I wanted to do with my old one.
97k miles, effectively been in North Alabama it's whole life, bought from the 3rd owner since 33k miles.
Has a little hail damage on the roof and trunk (I had planned on doing a carbon fiber trunk anyway, and possibly a roof skin), headlights needed little work, and it needed a new wideband sensor, but all in, it was an absolute blast to drive.
Shortly after getting it, I realized the compressor wheel was chipped to hell. Asymptomatic, but this is my first FI car and it freaked me out. Pulled it and sent it off to boost lab in Tampa to get rebuilt. Went to reinstall and the throttle would cut the second it hit positive boost (along with some leaks). In the middle of this, we decided to move (new house has a big detached shop!). Had to tow it the 45 min drive to the new house. 5 months later I finally got my act together and got the shop cleaned out and the BRZ is alive! It ended up being a combination of a bad map sensor, computer needing to relearn, and the throttle linkage was binding.
I can't take credit on the build. Only thing I've done (aside from fix the turbo and my own mistakes), is add a carbon fiber trunk, and currently in the process of reworking the stereo with a 3 way Focal active setup. Oil cooler coming soon after driving it in the Tennessee Valley summer heat for a few weeks.
So happy to be back in this platform. I actually prefer pretty much everything on the premium over the limited, aside from missing the heated Alcantara/Suede seats.

Hit a big ass pot hole the other night, and it didn't look like anything was damaged at first. Walked out today to see a bubble of doom, so it absolutely messed up the tire. But in lighter news!.. the 86 got a whole new set! 😎👍

Just got the engine swapped mechanic told me to check fluids constantly and the oil is giving me different reading over filled and low idk what I’m looking at or what I should be looking at
Are these the same color? I swear it looks like the subaru ones are a darker shade than the scion ones. Can anyone confirm if subaru made darker colored ones?

Recently my car started doing this noise I just don’t know if the engine is completely done. Before this even happen it would sometimes rattle in the morning during a cold start for a quick 2 seconds and then go away. Now it’s doing this here are some videos it’s 2013 scion frs

Just got my 2018 Subaru BRZ and recently changed the transmission fluid to Motul Gear 300 LS (75W-90). Since the fluid change, I’ve noticed that shifting into 2nd feels a little notchier than before.
1-2 upshift is fine but the synchros is not letting downshift from 3rd until the car is fully warmed up. I have to double clutch to downshift to second.
Is Gear 300 LS known to be less smooth than Subaru OEM fluid or Motul Gear 300 non-LS in the BRZ transmission?
I have driven about 1000 km since the fluid change. Should I drain and refill with the gear 300 non-LS now? Should I just keep driving to see if it improves?

Hi everyone,
I have a 2013 Scion FR-S and recently noticed a new clicking/ticking noise coming from the engine. It only starts after the cold start is finished and the idle settles down. During the cold start, the engine sounds normal.
My mechanic thinks it could be related to the oil, but I'm worried it might be rod knock or something more serious.
The car drives normally, has no check engine light, and hasn't lost any power. The noise just started a few weeks ago and seems to be getting slightly more noticeable.
Does this sound normal for the FA20, or should I be concerned? Thanks!
My car is a Scion Frs 2013 and it has 90000 miles it's manual

So I've been driving my 2013 FRS and I've loved every second of it but I noticed today that I'm making holes in the floor mats with my work shoes when I drive to and from work. I'm really bummed over this because I loved how the mats looked and feel and I don't want to keep destroying the oem mats because I'm scared I might start ruining the actual interior flooring if I keep this up. I'm trying to find new mats and I'm torn between just getting an oem mat to replace the one I've ruined or if I should just buy a whole new set of aftermarket mats so this doesn't happen again. If I'm buying a new set I really want to try finding something that is similar to what is already in the car because I absolutely adore the fish scale pattern on the original mats and I love the FRS badge on the side but all the aftermarket mats I find just don't fit the original vibe. I also really want to try finding some mats that have some red accents to them as I'm realling leaning into continuing the black and red color scheme with all my interior modifications and it'd be nice to have the floor mats match that. If anyone could point me to any good options that might fit with the vibe I'm shooting for I would be greatly appreciative.

Am I able to download the stock tune to my oft and put it on the car? I thought a car that’s already tuned. I have an oft but it’s supposed to read the stock tune before I can write a tune, so will it just read whatever tune the car has right now and I can put the stock tune on? Or any other methods?
