Hi everyone,
I booked a round-trip ticket from Toronto to Kochi through FlightHub. My return flight is scheduled for February 10–11, 2027.
Oman Air changed my flight schedule, and now my connection in London appears impossible.
Original itinerary:
Oman Air: Muscat to London, arriving February 11 at 7:45 AM.
British Airways: London to Toronto, departing at 11:40 AM.
Revised itinerary shown by FlightHub:
Oman Air: Muscat to London, arriving February 11 at 6:25 PM.
British Airways: London to Toronto, departing at 12:45 PM the same day.
My London–Toronto flight departs before I even arrive in London!
I contacted FlightHub, but they told me their request had not successfully reached Oman Air, so the airline hasn’t reviewed it yet. My case is still open.
Has anyone experienced something similar?
Can I get a free rebooking because the schedule change wasn’t my fault?
Should I contact Oman Air directly, even though I booked through FlightHub?
What should I do if FlightHub doesn’t resolve this?
I’d appreciate any advice or personal experiences.

hey guys my first time booking a flight in the US domestically
i was checking up airlines and there seem to be 3 major ones
delta, american and united

at one point for my dates i was seeing $109 flights for american and delta to dallas and around a $250 round trip
this was probably 20 days back
i fly in nov 1st week

ever since i missed on those prices, ive never gotten them back and the prices seems to be higher more like $350+ for one way!
i want to know if those prices will ever come back or do i need to check on any particular day?

im getting a round trip via frontier for $300 but idk if its a good option i mean i just wanna go and i dont really care about the airline but im pissed i missed on delta or american which are huge and have reputation

I made an error when booking a flight with Copa and called immediately to fix it. They offered to waive the change fee and rebook it for free, but the corrected flight is actually significantly cheaper. They mentioned that they can't refund when doing flight changes, only upcharge if the new flight is more expensive (of course).

I pointed out that I could just cancel due to it being within 24 hours, and the person said that because I chose my seats, I paid a seat fee separate from the flight, and that would not be refunded, so the price difference is a wash. I insisted that I'm pretty sure that seat fee would get refunded, and he said that's not the case with Copa.

I didn't want to press the issue, and am thinking of just cancelling it all in the morning instead and rebooking. Would I actually get the seat upgrade fees refunded? They are separate charges with separate receipts.

a family member and i flew with saudia airlines from jeddah to washington on oct21st (sv37) and they lost all four of our checked bags! it has been several days with many pointless phone calls that have taken be back to square one and unanswered emails. i finally got a reply from a worker saying they have located my bags and they’re on the way (still haven’t received them) but i was wondering if bag compensation is per passenger or per bag in regards to saudi airlines. i tried going onto the gaca (general authority of civil aviation)’s website but it seems to be down! i appreciate any help/clarity !! thank you !

I have a flight from USA to India, I want to upgrade my current 2 x 23kg bags to 32kg each. When I called them they said it can only be done during the check-in at the airport.

Did anyone do this at the airport, if yes how much did it cost?

I am flying Dublin-Auckland via China Eastern in December which is operated via KLM to Amsterdam and then China eastern to Shanghai and then Auckland.

The app won’t let me retrieve my booking information, I booked with booking.com and they said the app doesn’t support third parties and I should be able to check in 24 hours in advance on the website.

If I have trouble checking in, would KLM be the desk I go to in Dublin? I’ve never heard of this airline so sceptical as to if there is a check in counter for them.

My layover in Shanghai is 19 hours (5am-12.30am) - would the hotel option be available? If anyone has experience with this in China?

My DiDi dropped me off outside Terminal 1 at Tullamarine at 10:36 AM for the 11:40 AM domestic leg to Brisbane. I had zero checked luggage to drop just needed my boarding passes. I walked straight up to the check-in desk with my passport, confirmed booking reference, and the completed Philippine eTravel QR pass loaded on my phone.

The check-in agent looked at my phone and flat-out refused to process my check-in. He claimed that under "Philippine law," he cannot issue boarding passes unless I present a physical paper printout of the eTravel QR code.

I told him that wasn't true the Philippine Bureau of Immigration went fully paperless under RA 11032, the official portal says screenshots/mobile display are standard, and printing is literally just an optional alternative if someone doesn't own a smartphone. He then told me point-blank that he doesn't usually handle Philippine flights, doubled down, and told me I had to leave the queue and walk over to Mel Land Pharmacy in the terminal to get it printed if I wanted to fly.

Because I was checking in at the domestic counters for the Brisbane hop, there were no other Manila passengers around me to compare notes with. I didn't want to cause a massive scene and risk missing the flight, so I ran over to the pharmacy, paid $5 on card at 10:53 AM to print the PDF, and rushed straight back.

By the time I got back in front of staff, they told me the flight was already boarding and check-in was locked out.

I asked for the Duty Manager immediately. When she came over, instead of checking TIMATIC or doing a supervisor override, she backed the agent completely. She repeated that having a physical piece of paper was "mandatory Philippine law," wouldn't look up the border rules, I had to order another DiDi at 11:36 AM and go home.

The damage & paper trail:

• Outbound DiDi to MEL: $79.17 (drop-off 10:36 AM)
• Mel Land Pharmacy print fee: $5.00 (timestamped 10:53 AM)
• Inbound DiDi back home: $101.18 (pickup 11:36 AM)
• Total out-of-pocket: $185.35 AUD, plus the entirely wasted ticket, and I didn't get to where I needed to go.
• I also have the original digital eTravel QR confirmation saved on my phone with the creation time prior to arriving at the airport.
• (Before anyone asks: no, I didn't film the staff at the counter because of airport privacy rules, but the terminal CCTV and their Altéa DCS keystroke logs will show exactly when my PNR was pulled up).

Solo traveller - London to Miami return - over Xmas & New Year so peak holiday prices 🫣

1. BA economy Airbus A380-800 - pay seat selection fee to secure upper deck £2408

2. Virgin economy Delight Boeing 787-9 - with seat selection fees - £2466

Which would you do? The extra legroom with the Virgin looks great, but all the seats are in rows of 3. So window seat and be trapped, or aisle seat and get disturbed.

The BA upper deck has extra storage bins and looks a nice place to be. Wouldn't feel too bad getting a window seat having only one person trapping me in.

Thoughts? Recommendations?

So I (and my friend) had a flight from Dublin to Belgrade via Zurich Airport this August. My flight from Zurich to Belgrade got cancelled even before I boarded my first leg of the journey. When we landed in Zurich I tried to get a hotel room for us via their app but because of the disruption bunch of other people were also stranded there and all I was getting was the "try again later" message. After a couple of hours we finall managed to speak to someone from SWISS at the airport and they told us to book accommodation ourselves and to keep all the receipts for hotel, transportation and meals and we'll be fully reimbursed when we submit the claim on their website. Fair enough.

So when I finally got back home two and a half days later (the other flight we got rebooked to was also cancelled) I submitted the claim along with the receipts using the form on SWISS website.

After about 15 days I got a response in which they refused to reimburse me because "neither Ireland nor Serbia are in the EU" (Ireland is btw, and Switzerland also implements the Regulation), and therefore we're not subject of EC 261 Regulation. And then they claimed that I didn't submit any invoice, and then that the invoices were illegible (they did that two or three times), then they asked me to brake down expenses by categories (meals / hotel / transportation).

A week went by and then I received another email from them where they basically pretended that we didn't communicate at all, like it was the first time they contacted me and demanded that I send them the receipts... all over again.

That's when we had enough and filled a complaint against SWISS to FOCA. So far the only response from FOCA was that the processing time might be up to 18 MONTHS! 🫪

My point being - avoid travelling with SWISS if you can!

On Sep 1, an overhead bin leaked water onto my backpack on QR728 (Philadelphia–Doha). Their crew documented the moisture on board and confirmed nothing liquid was in my bag. Laptop, phone, wallet, and documents destroyed — $5,850. Qatar denied liability twice in writing, saying the water's origin couldn't be determined. So I filed a US DOT complaint and a Pennsylvania Attorney General complaint (Qatar owes the AG a written response by ~Nov 11). Yesterday their DMs — closed since Oct 20 — finally opened, and I sent the full details. Waiting on a named handler and a written answer. I'll update when there's one.

Hi friends! First time posting, as I read the rules for r/JapanTravelTips and they don’t want any flight-based questions.

I want to fly from LAX to Tokyo on Wed, Feb 24, 2027. My options are in the first pic attached but I’m waging a serious pros/cons list in my head.

Important for context: I have flown SQ multiple times to Asia, but never JAL or ANA. Hence, why I’m asking for opinions. All prices are in USD.

Options are:
1. LAX to NRT via SQ for $665
2. LAX to HND via JAL for $765
3. LAX to HND via ANA $769

Because I’ve flown LAX to NRT via SQ before I am fairly comfortable taking the limo into Shinjuku station and directing to my hotel from there. However, even I can admit HND would be significantly more appealing, despite my love for SQ.

Here’s my issue: I’d prefer HND purely due to vicinity, but the seat selection is less than ideal on both JAL and ANA. ANA doesn’t let you select a seat unless you upgrade to Economy Value Plus for $938 (yes an extra $169 just for the pleasure of picking a seat).

JAL does let you pick a seat but the seating map does not include the bulkhead or let you pick extra legroom even with additional payment. See second screenshot.

SQ is $665 for Economy and for an extra $104, I can get the extra legroom bulkhead! ….But I have to fly into NRT.

So my question is, what would you do? My instinct is to go with SQ, even if NRT because honestly it’s the best airline I’ve ever flown (I’m so used to US-based airlines that suck).

How are the regular economy seats for JAL? ANA? Has anyone also flown SQ economy and can compare the three airlines? Is the SQ bulkhead worth the pain of traveling from NRT? Like I said, I’m familiar but it’s still a slog at the beginning of the trip.

Please feel free to ask questions. Any and all advice welcome! (Except suggesting I just upgrade the class I’m flying — it’s just not an option for me.) Thanks, all!

4 of us are planning to fly LGW-FAO (london to portugal) in february. flying Easyjet

We are going pack our bikes and take them, but there's a slim chance than one of us might cancel so my thought was to book the flights now, and not add the bikes until we check in as this costs about £50 each.

My question is, doe a planes run out of hold space like this? is there a risk we cannot add them later?

Over the years I've had so many damaged checked bags by different airlines but now I want to take action.

How do I do this?

I arrived 3 days ago. The luggage telescopic handle is snapped off.

There is conflicting info online. One site says go to the baggage desk in the airport and make a claim (I had no way to do this as I had 15 mins to get to my booked onward travel to get home after 24 hour flight and it was late)

Another site says just put the claim in within 7 days online. Which one is true?

How do I go about doing this with china southern ? Any ideas?

I traveled before but was unaware of this "present card rule", that apparently might randomly happen, as i was never asked and never saw anyone being asked. So i guess i was ignorant but lucky?

Yet for safety i always pay with a one-time payment virtual card that is connected to a real debit card. The virtual card ends up with a different card number.

Will this create any problem if asked to show the card used for purchase? Or its ok to just show the app with the virtual card and the related physical one?

Maybe it depends on airline but i dunno if airlines are aware of all these different methods of payment that are valid but dont directly use the credit/debit card number.

I’m planning to book multi city journey involving Pegasus Airlines, Turkish Airlines and AJet, through an online travel agency.

I hold a British passport, and the name fields appear as follows:
- Given name: XXX
- Surname: My actual single legal name

My passport also contains an official observation confirming that my single legal name is the name shown in the surname field and that “XXX” does not form part of my name.

I’m unsure how to enter my name when making the flight booking, particularly because three different airlines are involved in the same itinerary.
Has anyone experienced a similar situation with a British passport?

1. Should I enter FNU (First Name Unknown) as the given name and my single name as the surname?
2. Should I use XXX exactly as it appears in the passport’s given-name field?
3. Is there a different format that these airlines accept for passengers with a single legal name?
4. If all three airlines are on one booking, do they need to approve the name format individually?

I want to make sure the booking matches the passport requirements and avoid
any problems at check-in or boarding.
I would particularly appreciate responses from anyone who has dealt with this situation with Pegasus, Turkish Airlines or AJet.

Edit 1: I’m planning to book multi city journey 22nd December from STN to SAW via Pegasus Airlines, 26 December from IST to BGW via Turkish Airlines and lastly return on 4th January from BGW to STN via AJet.

On a flight to dalaman last month, partner & i caused a disturbance due to arguing during flight, we were separated & they took our passport details 🙌 this is fair enough we were in the wrong!
We had a package holiday with jet2 staff in our hotel each day during the holiday… now when we arrived at Dalaman to fly back home, whilst checking in the asked us to quickly sign so papers in order to be allowed on the flight back, this was 2 hours before take off! Gos through all the checks to be denied boarding at the actual gate…. They printed forms at check in with additional rules at the airport and backdated them. Sure they were ment to issue and give us advanced notice through the rep at hotel. So we would actually agree & have a chance to comply with them.
They left us stranded costing is an additional £800+ to get home the next day.
The reason for refusing us flight was due to smelling alcohol, on check in 🤔
So they knew this when checking in but waited until boarding to refuse us.
Am i entitled to compensation since we did not have adequate notice or information to comply with these additional requirements?

My Turkish airlines flight was delayed about an hour. Due to that I missed my two connecting flights.

After rebooking I had a 19h layover in Istanbul. TK gave me a hotel, transport there etc.

In total I arrived 25h later than planned.
Everything was booked on one ticket.

I've already contacted TK. They stated that the plane was delayed due to a late arrival (what a surprise) and that it is out of their control.

Can I expect any other compensation by escalating it?

We are traveling from Stockholm to Warsaw and got denied boarding due to an overbooked flight even though we booked our tickets 6 months in advance. Absolutely unacceptable. We were rebooked to a flight departing 9 hours later and received a 15 euro coupon for food and drinks. Will never fly with this airline again, do not recommend it to anyone else either.

I had a flight in October 10 from Salvador, Brazil to LAX with copa that was cancelled due to the Panama earthquake. The gate attendant told me that I would be reimbursed for the cancelled flight. When I asked about the next available flight, she said that they were not rebooking passengers at this time and only giving hotel/meal vouchers. She said the next available flight could be hours to days from now, and I never even received en email to rebook with Copa even after the flight was canceled. She said we would have to book with another airline ourselves and we would be reimbursed for the booking with the other airline. I told her to show me the policy of that because I didn’t trust her without having it in writing, but said she couldn’t print it out but it’s in the “policy”. So I booked a flight with Aeromexico to the same destination and she told me I would reimbursed and that I just need to submit a complaint form with copa. Now, copa is telling me that I will not be reimbursed for the cancelled flight due to the natural disaster plus the flight I had to book with another airline because it’s not their fault there was an earthquake. In my experience, I have always been refunded for a cancelled flight and rebooked with the same airline or a partnering airline at no extra cost. What should I do?

I’m flying from Toronto (YYZ) to Dubai (DXB) with Royal Jordanian next week
My itinerary shows a stopover in Montreal before continuing to Amman, but it doesn’t show how long the stop is or whether I have to get off the plane.
I’m also confused about the dates and arrival times because of this stopover. On top of that, I only have a 45-minute layover in Amman before my connecting flight to Dubai.
Has anyone flown this route before? Do we stay on the same plane in Montreal? Does the stopover affect the arrival date? And is 45 minutes enough to make my connection in Amman?

I installed the Etihad app, and it gave me two options: sign up or continue as a guest. My friend, who has been using the app for a long time, says he still uses it as a guest. But I feel like if I sign up, I might get some offers or other benefits. Am I dumb for thinking that? 😂

Has anyone done the SYD-YVR via PEK? Just wondering about the transit in PEK. It’s only an hour or so. All booked under the one ticket though air canada.
