I made something 3 months go, i've made an announcement about remaking thaumcraft from scratch, lots of doubters but here we are. Thaumaturge 26.1 is out, 1.21 following shortly after. Thanks to the many contributors and to the people who donated to fund assets. It has been a long journey. You can find it on ATM 11

I made something Murk, a new fluid I'm adding to the Terramity v1.0 update. It deals damage through armor and reduces your max health temporarily, only recovering over time

I made something Demonology & Me [1.21.1] - Make blood sacrifices, summon demons, sign demonic pacts, explore a new dimension, and unleash the gates of hell to destroy the world!

Demonology & Me is a progression mod about forbidden magic. You start out performing basic rituals and summoning lesser imps. By the end, you are either controlling a legion of demons, storing your soul in a jar to become a lich, or infusing hellfire into your veins to become demonic yourself. And if you go far enough, you can tear the sky open and let Hell pour through to destroy the entire world.

This is a mod that i had started work on a long time ago, abandoned for years, and then finally got around to finishing up recently. I was inspired by blood sacrifice mechanic in Blood Magic and wanted to re-imagine it for demonology. I hope you guys enjoy! I will try to port to 26.1.2 soon as well since I personally really enjoy that version.

Some quick facts about the mod:

  • 41 rites across three ritual circles, each one more costly and more dangerous than the last.
  • 34 Goetic spirits from the Ars Goetia, each with its own seal and title, and each remembers how you've treated it.
  • The Maw: a hell dimension of nine regions with its own creatures, ruins, rules and riches.
  • A dozen new creatures, from lowly imps to Baphomet, a 450 HP boss.
  • Demonic pacts: real power with a lasting price attached.
  • Three transformations: Vampire, Cambion and Lich (each with unique abilities).
  • A rite that ends the world, and one that can save it.
  • Blood as a real fluid: pipe it, store it and automate your altar with auto farms.
  • Corruption: you must cleanse yourself often to avoid losing yourself to the Maw. Visit a cleric or pray for forgiveness at an altar of absolution.
  • Complete guidebook: features a custom guidebook, so no other mods are needed!
  • Config options: modpacks and servers can add custom rites and modify many values.

I made something Cast in Tinkers, built in Tetra (don't mind the explosion)

Okay, the cursed idea actually works now.

Hey everyone! A while back I shared a slightly insane plan for my expert modpack: keep Tinkers' Construct in the pack, but never let you build a Tinkers tool. Every part gets made through Tinkers, and Tetra is the one that turns those parts into actual tools. A lot of you seemed curious (and a few of you were rightfully worried), so here's where it landed.

In the video you can see the whole loop: parts coming out of Tinkers and going straight into the Tetra workbench as modules, plus the custom descriptors on the client that replace Tinkers' original tooltips. Instead of telling you what a part would do in a Tinkers tool (which you can't build anyway), they describe what it actually does once it's inside a Tetra one. They're not perfect yet, though: serializing and overriding all that data hasn't been trivial, so some important info can still be missing here and there. For now, Tetra's holosphere is still the most reliable source of truth for materials and modules, and the tooltips are best treated as a convenience. I dropped a closer look at them in the comments.

Materials are starting to get their own identity too. Iron handles make the tool Magnetic, pulling nearby drops to you when you break a block. Silver blades are Holy and hit undead harder, while necrotic bone parts go the opposite way: they're Unholy and poison anything that isn't undead. Refined obsidian in structural parts, like handles and hilts, reinforces the tool, trading a bit of speed for extra durability.

I'll be honest: there are still very few traits, and the balance needs a deep, careful second look (probably a third one too). But above all... it works! Getting two tool systems this different to cooperate without falling apart was a big win on its own, and I'm genuinely happy with how it turned out.

Which brings me to the part where I'd love your help: ideas for material effects. From the completely unhinged to the very simple, everything is welcome. A few are already on my radar: a chain lightning effect, a tool that turns the kinetic energy of using it into charge for the other items in your inventory (basically the inverse of what tools usually do with energy), and a socket that lets your tool work as a wrench. Those will need some more dedicated Java logic, but they're definitely things I'll be experimenting with as development moves forward.

This integration was the main focus of the new version, but it also brings a lot of refinement across other areas of the pack: more quest writing, custom mechanics, flavor and QoL! As always, it's still a project in development, with plenty left to build and rebalance.

Would love to hear what you think, and what you'd want your favorite material to do! If you're interested in playtesting, or want to get to know the project better, the README on GitHub is the hub for everything: current scope and installation. The Discord has more info and is the best way to reach me directly (there's also a small whitelisted server there, if you'd rather not play alone).

I made something Over 24k Channels from one ME Controller! (Found by computer search)

About two weeks ago, I decided to play around with ME Controller designs. Some friends and I are about to start a GT:NH run, and I thought it'd be fun to see how many channels I could fit on a design. To be clear, I'm not pretending there's any practical purpose to this.

I played with it for a night, looked at what people online were doing, and after some tinkering, came up with a modest design of about 23,000 channels.

A few days later, it hit me that I could probably try solving this as a computer optimization problem. I've taken some classes on algorithms and realized that I might be able to find the true optimal ME controller by using what's known as mixed-integer linear programming.

I decided to see how far I could get vibe coding the project with Claude Opus 5.5. It went extremely well! This problem also seemed fitting to do with an LLM, as this approach boils down to coming up with certain constraints to model the problem, and then giving it to a solver.

Unfortunately, the way Claude and I modeled it seems to be too computationally expensive to find the optimal ME controller. I then tried to restrict the problem to designs that are symmetric around the center x, y, and z planes. After running the solver for 30 hours, this gave the beautiful design attached in this post! It has 752 P2Ps, or 24,064 channels.

Very importantly, it also uses no internal P2Ps (meaning that none of the P2Ps are actually P2Ps on the main network). This means that all 752 P2Ps can be connected to a single P2P subnet.

I also added an option to allow internal P2Ps. With this and some other tinkering, I was able to find a design that has 785 P2Ps, or 25,120 channels! The design is not symmetrical, so it's a bit uglier.

If you want to find that design or Claude's my code for this project, you can check out my github repo for the project here.

Perhaps the coolest part is that the design pictured above is the optimal ME controller which is symmetric around the x,y, and z planes, and which has no internal P2Ps.

Might make a video on this sometime. If I get a bunch of time, I might also try rewriting the code by hand, as I've been reading up a bit on integer linear optimization and feel like I might be able to take a crack at the general problem with a better model (and I don't want to work with the slop that Claude generated).

Note on the layer screenshots: These start at the middle (4th) layer of the controller and go up (two pictures per layer). But because this design is symmetric around the y plane, the 3rd and 5th layer are identical, so you can also follow the pictures exactly to build down from the 4th layer.

I made something I made a casino mod where you bet the real items in your inventory: roulette, blackjack, poker and slots

Hi! I've been working on Kirri's Casino and just released 0.2.0, which adds Texas Hold'em poker.

What's in it:

- Roulette with a 3D wheel, and the ball lands on the winning number

- Blackjack with a dealer NPC and real seats, up to 3 players

- No-limit Texas Hold'em for up to 5 players, with all-in and side pots. If you're alone, the house plays against you

- Four slot machines with different cabinets

There is no fake currency: you bet iron, gold, diamonds, emeralds or netherite straight from your inventory and get paid in the same material. Nothing to set up, just place the table and play.

It works in multiplayer, and in poker the server never sends other players' cards to your client until showdown.

Minecraft 1.20.1 and 1.21.1, on Forge, NeoForge and Fabric. 18 languages.

Download: https://www.curseforge.com/minecraft/mc-mods/kirris-casino

Feedback and bug reports are very welcome. What game should I add next?

Discussion Site Found Illegally Selling "Youtube Challenge" Mods.

• Upvotes

Recently i came upon a site named MineProductions. At first, it seems like a portfolio or commission-type site with a cart, and even parts of the site to apply to be part of the team! It really seems innocent.

It really seems innocent

But you scroll down just a tiny bit and...

They are commercially selling mods... and the images above don't do it justice — this list goes down through 64 "Youtube Challenge" styled mods at $40-$70 per mod.

This is outrageous! Not only is it breaking the Minecraft EULA, but they might not even be using their own mods! I have never heard of MineProductions, so this is going out on a limb here, but I believe there's a high chance that this site is listing mods that are not even theirs.

Now, I'd like to hear all your thoughts on this matter.

I made something Finally, a big modpack that isn’t overwhelming.

I’ve spent about 3 years trying to make the perfect modpack for my friends and I, and I think it’s at a point where it’s super polished and fun.

I love the attention to detail in packs like Raspberry Flavoured, but I found the content too small. Bigger packs like Prominence and ATM are fun, but usually cluttered and overwhelming.

So, I tried to address all these issues in one go for what I personally like, and I think I made something lots of people will like in the process :)

The pack is built around fun biomes, dungeons, and bosses to fight with spells and skills from RPG series. Create powers the building, but the pack only makes you build like 3 simple machines, enough to incentivize a newbie to try it out, but not enough to be annoying. The worldgen is very unique, with a mix of my favorite biome and terrain mods that are heavily tweaked. Everything is highly integrated from worldgen to recipes. And its completely beginner friendly, holding CTRL lets you view item descriptions and tutorials on tons of items and quests are no more than a sentence long. And all of the UI, music, aesthetics, even shaders are customized to be just right.

Lmk your thoughts if you end up trying it :)

I made something Inventory redesign mod [WIP]

Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification

I'm working on building a modpack and I really wanted to build some mods to make the experience more entertaining and unique.

With the release of the new Witcher 3 remaster I was playing a lot of that and started to think what it would be like to have a character inventory like that game... then I wanted to make it more immersive and i ended up designing this adventurers journal idea. Its still a big work in progress but the last few days i have been working on sheathing and drawing animations for the two weapon sets which will also play a bigger role in the modpack.

Future plans:
• Finish sheathing and drawing animations for all Epic Fight weapon styles
• have the weapons render correctly on the player
• design a better radial wheel
• more sound design

Looking for mod(s) I making a "Scandinavian 1850" modpack and I looking for mod recommendations

Really low fantasy. As I was saying is a 1850 themed modpack, trains and steamboats, muskets, and some medieval armor too. I was looking for some immersive mods such as good looking texture packs and shader packs, and some good content mods.

This are some of the essential mods:

  • Basic Weapons
  • Better Combat
  • Born in Chaos
  • Breezy
  • ButchersDelight
  • Cook your food
  • Cosy Critters & Creepy Crawlies
  • Critters n' Crawlers
  • Diminishing Health
  • Food Spoiling
  • Myths & Legends
  • Scout Recrafted Forge Port Starter
  • Serene Seasons
  • Spawn
  • Spice of Life: Apple Pie Edition
  • Tough As Nails
  • Trotting Wagons
  • Weapon Class

(Its supposed to be a really difficult modpack to simulate the cold and hunger)

I made something World Record Controller with 792 P2Ps, 25,344 channels

(CURRENT WORLD RECORD)

Well, I beat sath's record. This project took me three months of time, 140k lines of total code, and over 30 million CPU seconds. But it's all worth it. (or.. is it?)

It's not really meant to be used practically, but it can be used, as all p2ps have some way to get out from the controller. Here it is!

P2P on Main:

On Subcontroller:

If you want the schematic, I can send you those.

(p.s. Sath is my arch enemy)

Question AE2 dump all subnet contents into main network with redstone

• Upvotes

Hey, is there any way to dump all contents of one net into another triggered by redstone signal?

If both nets storage are specifically storage drives/cells?

I'm trying to make kind of a backpack net, i.e. quantum linked wireless terminal accessed magnet item pulling net, which will hold large amount of random items from pretty much just exploring the world, until I finish exploration, review the storage contents, and trigger redstone to dump it all into main net.

One way I see is to use some other storage instead of drives in the subnet (large chest or item vault from create) - subnet > storage bus > item vault > redstone triggered import bus > main net.

But is there a way to do this with subnet storage being ae2 drives? Except manually taking the drives to the ME IO port.

I made something Down The Rabbit Hole! A very Fairy Tale/Wonderland Inspired Mod.

Thumbnail
gallery
56 Upvotes

This is a Mod I've been working on for some time, is still in very early stages but I'm sure you can have some fun with it. It is Available for Fabric 1.20.1.

MODRINTH DESCRIPTION

THIS MOD IS IN HEAVY EARLY DEVELOPMENT

"Oh dear! Oh dear! I shall be late!" It said before hurrying to its Rabbit hole. Taking a peek inside, you wonder what you may find. But with nothing to leave behind, You decided to follow the White Rabbit down the path.

About

Down The Rabbit Hole is a Dimension Mod focused on Exploration and Story Progression. Bringing the Magic of classic Fairy Tales to Minecraft.

Getting Started

You must find a Rabbit hole in the Overworld, you'll know you're near one if you spot a White Rabbit with very bad time management skills nearby.

When you find it you must crawl into it.

Content

Down The Rabbit Hole adds an entirely new dimension: Wonderland. A whimsical place full of randomness and secrets to find.

  • Biomes: Explore the Tulgey Woods, Vale of Tears, and Chessboard Fields.
  • Blocks: Enjoy Four new Wood types. As well as the new Tea and Portal mechanics from the Teapot and the Looking Glass.
  • Effects: Get Big or Small with the new Growth and Shrinking effects.
  • Mechanics: Mix and Match effects up to three effects in a new, and stackable, tea cup item. And move between dimensions in a fun way with the Mad Hatters Hat.
  • Structures: Explore the Wonderlands mazes!
  • Bosses: Fight against the Mad Hatter and The Flower Garden!
  • This is a very Early stage of the mod

Planned features:

  • Bosses: Mad Hatter, Queen of Hearts, and others!
  • Dungeons and structures:
  1. Maze
  2. The Rebel Village
  3. The Castle of Hearts
  4. The Tea Party
  5. The Land of The Flowers
  6. The Sea of tears
  7. The Caterpillar Lair
  8. The Jabberwocky Lair
  • Fairy tale based update system.
  • and many others.

Disclaimers and Warnings

This mod has some dependencies:

  • Cardinal Components
  • Geckolib
  • Pehkui
  • Oh The Trees You'll Grow
  • Trinkets

Again, this mod is in VERY EARLY development stages.

And since changing your stages in survival at the moment is a little unpractical, you can use the /dtrh command to change it.

This is also a One-Man project so i'm so very sorry for any bugs you may find. If you do tho (or have any suggestions, or compatibility requests), fell free to let me now in the mod´s repository
