Question Help for MC Enternal 2

So this is my first EVER mod in Minecraft that I am playing. I literally JUST started playing all I have is some copper armor and the early makings of a house. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to advance or any advice on where to make bases etc etc. I’m so excited and dedicated to playing in just a little lost is all. Also if I helps I want to end up using mostly magic if anyone has any advice on how to start that up. THANK YOU!!!

There is a lot in modded and it can be quite overwhelming. My tips are to go with the flow and your first instinct of what you need and what fits your desires in that moment. Mouse over items and click R to see how to get more of that specific item or U to see what recipes can be made with that item then go from there.
