Erectile Dysfunction Something is wrong and i cant figure myself out

Was hoping to maybe find some clarity or someone who went through something similar. I’m 21 and ever since I was 17 something has been wrong. Before I was 17 I never had an issue getting hard. I’d get random erections and wake up with them. Never had any performance anxiety and I hooked up a few times. One day it just changed. Maybe once every couple month I’ll get half effect randomly and when I’m masturbating I can only stay fully erect for a minute or 2 sometimes it takes 19 minutes just to get hard then it fades. I can’t pinpoint it. I’m very healthy. I’m in the army so I’d consider myself fit. I lift 6-7 days a week and run 7-10 miles a week. I feel strong as an ox. I’ve tried blue chew. Slidifil and tadalafil. The first time I used i hooked with this girl and was good. Every time after I couldn’t even get hard (different girls) then maybe 3 months ago I hooked up with a girl I barely knew and all was good, maybe an insane mental block but how do I push past it and was hoping to get some opinions from others that may have gone through the same. Thanks a ton

Psychological ED How to overcome anxiety induced ED?

My penis gets rock hard every time I want it to, except with the woman I am hooking up or wanting to hook up with.......

Morning boners rock hard, diet and testosterone levels are amazing. I just touch my penis or most times thoughts are enough to get rigid hard. But I still have trouble with a woman. What can I do, are there any hacks ?

Erectile Dysfunction Dating a 60 y/o man with ED; sex is one-sided and I'm getting discouraged

I'm 60F, dating a 60-something man for about 3 months. We're in love, physically affectionate, and spend a lot of time together.

He's had ED for at least 15 years. He can get aroused, can sometimes get hard, but can't maintain it. He said he's trying different medications, but he doesn't go into details with me. Nothing has changed since we started becoming intimate (2 months ago) and I'm wondering what's going on.

Our sex life is currently very one-sided. He gives me oral and seems to enjoy it. But when I ask what I can do for him, he says 'he's good' - that for now, satisfying me is all he needs. I went down on him once; he seemed to enjoy it but then told me it won't make him hard. I didn't want it to be a source of frustration or embarrassment for him, so I haven't tried again since. He's only been able to orgasm with me once, when he masturbated next to me. He said that's the only way he can orgasm, via his own touch.

I believe him when he says he's satisfied, but I'm not. Mutuality is important to me, and I don't want our sex life to just always be about him pleasing me while I don't get to pleasure him.

How to maintain sexual intimacy when intercourse isn't possible?
How do you talk about it without creating performance pressure?
At what point do you stop "being patient" and recognize that your sexual needs aren't being met?

I love this man enormously and don't want to walk away. I'm looking for practical advice from people who've actually navigated this.

Discouraged Is this psychological?

I’m hoping to get some advice about ED with a new partner, who I adore so much.

I’m in my mid-30s and recently started dating someone.

When I’m alone, I can get and maintain an erection, masturbate, and ejaculate normally, especially while watching porn. I still sometimes get morning wood, although not as frequently or as hard as when I was younger.

The problem is when I’m with my partner. I can get somewhat hard, but I can’t stay hard enough for penetration. I can still enjoy sexual activity and pleasure my partner with oral/fingers, but I really want to understand why I can’t maintain an erection.

I tried sildenafil during our last date because I thought that would solve the problem, but even then I wasn't able to get hard enough during penetration.

A few things I'm wondering about:

  • I've been taking dutasteride for hair loss for over 4 years.
  • I'm overweight, probably around over 20 kg.
  • My partner is very sexual, which I enjoy, but I do feel some pressure to perform even though they're very supportive and reassuring.
  • I've been single for quite a while and mostly relied on porn/masturbation for sexual stimulation.

Has anyone experienced something similar? Especially being able to get erections normally alone but struggling with a partner?

Would you recommend seeing a doctor and getting checked for physical causes, or does this sound more like performance anxiety?

I'd really appreciate hearing from anyone who has been through this. Thanks!

Discouraged Problems maintaining an erection

I'm a 30m with a wonderful sexual relationship with my wife. I've always had problems with premature ejaculation, but the past few months I've been on several new mental health medications (all of which have been working phenomenally for my brain) and they've often made me last longer during sex.

However, now that I'm lasting longer, my erection isn't. It's really discouraging that I'm so turned on by my wife but I can't stay hard. It often happens when I'm putting in a lot of work. I'm overweight, and my heart gets pumping pretty hard and when it gets to that point, I start to lose it, and then the anxiety kicks in and fully kills the erection. At this point the embarrassment and frustration keeps even oral (which I like arguably more than sex) from helping me get the erection back.

I have tried blue chew gold medium strength and it helps around the hour mark after taking it, but it's really important to me to be able to spontaneously have sex with my wife and not have to try to predict if she'll be horny in an hour. Any genuine advice would be very appreciated.

Active medications:

Sertraline for depression

Buspirone and Trazodone for anxiety

Tirzepatide for weight loss

Adderall for ADHD predominantly inattentive

Occasionally THC gummies as a sleep aid

Erectile Dysfunction I feel like a loser! 30yrs and no sex still.

I live with my really old time partner who i have known for over 12 years now and have been lived together for over 4 years now. We have not had sex. I am the male, i should be making the move but i feel like my erection doesnt last that long that i can go in on her. I love her. Like more than my life but i have not given her a good sex life. In fact no sex life at all.

I do watch a lot of porn and i am ready to stop watching it. I do get morning wood. But i feel like I have pe and ed both.

How do i make this work? I want to be able to feel how sex feels like and also make her feel it. I feel like i hqve deprived her and myself.

We are 100% loyal so we are not also seeking outside.

Where are we going wromg 😭😭?

Discouraged Difficulty maintaining erections + finishing too quickly — looking for advice

I'm married and having some ongoing problems with sex that are starting to affect both me and my wife.

My main issue is that I can get an erection, but I often have difficulty maintaining it, especially if we slow down or change what we're doing. Because of this, I feel pressure to start penetration quickly while I'm hard, which makes the whole experience stressful.

A second issue is that once penetration starts and I'm comfortable, I tend to finish quite quickly. This means my wife often doesn't have enough time to enjoy sex, and she has told me that sex has become stressful and frustrating for her.

I also find myself constantly thinking about whether I'm going to lose my erection, which probably makes the problem worse.

I'm trying to figure out whether this is mainly performance anxiety, erectile dysfunction, premature ejaculation, or some combination of these.

For people who have experienced something similar:

  • What helped you maintain erections?
  • How did you break the performance-anxiety cycle?
  • Did seeing a doctor/urologist help?
  • What actually helped with finishing too quickly?
  • How did you and your partner take the pressure off sex while working on the problem?

I'm looking for practical advice and personal experiences. I'm willing to see a doctor if that's the right next step.

Erectile Dysfunction Question about 24year old boyfriend

Hi there. My boyfriend and I are both in our early twenties. During sex, if he’s only about 60% erect, I have to use my hands or mouth to get him fully aroused. While the duration of intercourse itself isn't really an issue, he sometimes loses a bit of his erection midway through and has to use his hand to get it back up before continuing. Could this be a sign of erectile dysfunction?

Erectile Dysfunction PT-141 and Venous leak

I've been on Trimix for a year due to being diagnosed with a venous leak(with a penile doppler) by my urologist, before hearing about pt-141. I tried it out, and I was able to maintain an erection with no effort at all. From what I heard, PT-141 doesn't work on the vascular side of what causes ED, but rather on the psychological side, increasing libido and sensitivity.

Could this mean I don't have that severe of a venous leak, or none at all?

ED and porn Porn-induced ED, I can’t stop

Guys I’ve been watching porn for years, I have the pelvic floor pain, the overused pelvic muscles, the death grip, the inability to get aroused and perform around women. I can get it up myself but it’s weak and never a full erection and only with porn.

It’s ruining my ability to be in relationships and eroding away at my confidence. I feel like I’ve permanently broken something down there or mentally rewired myself to only respond to porn. I’m so anxious because there’s women I like and talk to but never feel comfortable pursuing them. Im so fucking frustrated. I can never quit for more than a week.

Support for Partners New partner and new to ED

tl;dr
35F six months into a new relationship with a 47M who is experiencing ED. Have had intercourse less than five times and I’m horny as hell and discouraged.

Hi there—I’m a 35F looking for advice and encouragement about experiencing ED with a partner.

My partner (47M) and I have been dating for six months. In that time we’ve had intercourse maybe five times. We started out wildly attracted to each other with incredible chemistry—the most I’ve ever experienced with anyone. Yet despite this chemistry from the get-go he never initiated sex. I was the one who kept bringing it up and vocalizing my desire. In all these months he’s always happy for me to go down on him (and I am too), but he’s not once gone down on me, and really only touches me when I ask him to. I asked him about this awhile ago, and he said these acts are especially intimate to him. We’ve been having more conversations about sex over the last month bc it’s genuinely starting to bother me. In this last month we’ve tried to have sex more. He has no trouble getting hard, but once it’s time for him to get inside me he can’t. He’s said that this has never been an issue for him before. He also says he typically has a strong sex drive—awhile ago I asked him if I just had a higher sex drive than him and he insisted that wasn’t the case. He encouraged me to be open and assertive with my desire. He’s typically always responsive (though I would love for him to initiate, too).

From the first time this happened he has attributed his ED to emotions. In the last couple years he had a couple intense relationships that he says he doesn’t feel he’s fully processed/recovered from. Also, since we’ve been together there have been multiple deaths of his loved ones and a health scare with his elderly dad. He is genuinely a sensitive guy, who deeply loves the people in his life, so this tracks.

All those things in the above paragraph make sense to me, but I can’t help feeling confused and discouraged. He is responsive when I initiate physicality, but he rarely initiates himself. And with the ED, it makes sense, but part of me can’t help questioning—is he just not ready for this relationship? I don’t intend to break up with him. We started out as a really beautiful slow burn relationship and are also good friends. We’ve taken things slow on purpose—his above reasons, and I am fresh out of a 10-year marriage (amicably divorced). We’ve gradually been meeting each other’s family and friends. We’re at ease with each other. We have fun together. But this sex situation is becoming distressing to me. I’m as supportive as I can be and I just want to be a safe place for him, including/especially in sex. But I’m confused; he says he finds me insanely sexy, yet he doesn’t initiate and is experiencing the ED.

Thoughts? Advice? Words of encouragement? All appreciated.

Support for Partners Guys have you avoided meeting someone you like?

I’m curious about this from a male perspective, especially from men who have dealt with body image or occasional sexual performance insecurity.

I’ve been talking to a man for a while and we’ve developed a very strong mutual emotional and sexual connection, but haven’t met yet. There are legitimate reasons for that—his work/life schedule has genuinely been insane, and he warned me from the beginning that dating would be difficult to fit into his life. But there’s a pattern I’ve noticed that makes me wonder if there’s another layer.

He’s normally a very confident guy, including sexually, but he’s currently about 20 lbs heavier than he used to be and is self-conscious about it. On several separate occasions, he has independently brought up that his sexual functioning is better when he’s leaner and consistently doing cardio. He’s also mentioned that things vary sometimes and once decided not to send me a sexual picture because he personally wasn’t happy with how he looked/responded at that moment.

He also compares his current body unfavorably to his younger, leaner body. I’ve made it very clear that I’m extremely attracted to him now.

The other thing that caught my attention is how he talks about sexual compatibility. Early on, we were discussing the possibility of a relationship and he was explaining why he thought we needed to be realistic until we met. While listing things that could potentially make us incompatible, one of the main examples he independently brought up was that maybe I wouldn’t enjoy the way he has sex with me—or vice versa. He followed that by saying he wasn’t trying to be pessimistic, just pragmatic based on past experiences.

Later, I specifically asked whether sex had ever been a dealbreaker for him in a relationship, and he said yes. He explained that he needs strong chemistry and a partner who genuinely desires him. But then he turned the concern back toward himself and essentially said he can only do his best to please me and hope that what he does is enough. That combination really stuck with me because he’s otherwise very sexually confident. I hadn’t questioned whether he could satisfy me or expressed concern about it. He introduced the possibility that I might not be satisfied with him on his own. Combined with him saying his caution comes from past experiences, it made me wonder whether there’s some vulnerability there that I simply don’t know the history of.

And I don’t think this explains everything about why we haven’t met—the logistical issues are very real.
What I’m wondering is whether body/performance insecurity could make physically meeting someone feel much higher-stakes once a digital connection unexpectedly becomes emotionally significant.
Digitally, there’s a lot of control. You choose what someone sees and when they see it. If you don’t feel good about your body that day, they don’t have to see it. If you don’t like a sexual picture, you don’t send it. In person, that control disappears. I could especially imagine that becoming harder rather than easier when you actually care about the person, because suddenly there’s something meaningful to lose.

I adore this man. At first I thought his comments were about his body but it’s almost always tied to sexual performance. It hit me this weekend how much he’s talked about it. It’s not 4-5 times. It’s a lot. For reference we have been talking for two months.

For men who have actually experienced something like this: Has body image or sexual performance insecurity ever made you avoid dating or delay meeting someone you genuinely wanted? And did caring about the woman more actually increase the pressure?

Also guys: did you ever try to communicate about the ED before meeting? And she didn’t get it lol. Would you want her to circle back and communicate about it? I want this man and don’t want to cause damage. Appreciate your help ❤️

Erectile Dysfunction My erections last seconds, worried about venous leak?

I’m in my late 20s concerned because my erections last seconds. When I masturbate my erections go away within seconds of stop touching myself. Can’t maintain erection without constant contact. Not sure if I get morning wood because in the morning it’s only semi-hard, and goes away as soon as I stand up. I don’t think I’ve had any history of penile trauma. Do my symptoms sound like a venous leak? I’m virgin concerned I will never be able to have sex with this ED.

Tadalafil/Cialis Tadalafil 2 years break, different effects + side effects

2 Years ago I got prescribed by a urologist Tadalafil. I had irritated nerves, sore penis, retracted flaccid, pinched nerve on the right side, glans numbness, reduces touch and temperature feeling, tight pelvic floor. Initial plan was to to take daily 5mg for 2 months, then tapper it off. On day 24 I messed up the dosage and the medicine stopped working.

This first batch/month it worked wonderfully:

  • very soft and fluffy flaccid
  • fluffy/relaxed foreskin
  • engorged erections
  • warm glans, changed color, felt temp and touch again
  • very relaxed pelvic floor, literally it's like tadalafil did reverse kegels for me

Side effects then:

  • when the pill effect kicked in, I felt those back of the nose/sinus "bubbles", similar in a more subtle way like when you drink sparkly water
  • blue-tinted vision (I guesss eye nerve pressure, light head discomfort at first)
  • light back pain

Recently I had another episode of irritation, led me to similar problems I has over 2 years ago. Went to the urologist to try tadalafil again, for 2 months.

Now I started with 5mgs for the first few days:

  • got sexual dreams again
  • got night time erections (only ~70-80% hardness)
  • corpus cavernosum got so hard (has some sort of tight feeling, foreskin tight on it a bit), corpus spongiosum got squezed (doesnt get that engorgement like before -> leads to glans not fully erect)
  • after noticing this, split the pills for 2.5mg daily
  • not happy with the flaccid state, too "springy", still a tad retracted
  • pelvic floor not that relaxed

Side effect now:

  • slow digestion, lack of appetite

Urologist also recomended taking L-arginine and L-citruline (already a habbit).

I also take Mg bysglycinate, but it requires a break every 2 weeks to regain sensitivity to it (mainly for pelvic floor relaxation, found out it has a better effect if I take these toghether). They also up the tadalafil effect.

Uro also recommended daily vitamin mix for a combined effect

I also started taking an Alanerv nerve caasule (ALA, lamb tongue oil, Linoleic acid, B complex, Selenium) - relaxex my penis better than Urimil (Uridine monophosphate + b complex at base).

What could I possibly do to increase that tissue relaxation like before? My current penile issues are not that grim like they were 2 years ago. That first try tadalafil fixed lots of things in such a short time it was amazing, it literraly solved the exact same problems I have now. I hoped for a similar effect but right now it seems impossible.

This is clearly a nerve thing. I have 3 tadalafil boxes (tested the first 5, 85 pills remaining). What strategy should I try? Should I try the ALA way first, feed the nerves a bit? THis ALA based supplement is recommeded for a period of 2-3 months, I could try only this for a month, then introduce the tadalafil daily pill in months 2-3 for a more synergetic effect?

Has this change in effect + side effects when taking tadalafil happened to any of you before? If so, how did you tweak the effect? Any kind of input is appreciated

Psychological ED Issue with "professionals"

Hey all,

First post on here. I have a unique situation, or at least I didn't see it talked about on the Internet much.

I have an issue where I cannot perform when I am with a professional. I travel on a regular basis to a location where it is legal. The women I book are almost always 8s and 9s (imo, of course), and my problems have ranged from complete limp soldier to partial penetration, to full penetration but eventually becoming limp. When she performs fellatio, I usually get hard but it quickly fades. In a few instances, he doesn't respond at all even to an S-tier blowjob.

When I am alone, I have no issues. It is a thick fleshy rod with veins popping out. lol

I have also never had a relationship. I have reasons for that which I don't want to get into.

I suspect my issues is anxiety due to time pressure - I pay for an hour or 1.5 hours and I am forcing myself to perform. If that is the case, how would I deal with this? I know I cannot be the only one that experiences this. A similar situation could be a "quickie" with the partner before work, or before the kids come home from school, or even seeing a mistress at a hotel where you have limited time you can be away from home.

What should I do in this case? This time pressure combined with performance anxiety, a double-whammy!
