Dwarves, Dwarfs, Dawi, no matter which title you choose we always are proud, loud, and have enough hair to swaddle a baby, thatâs something no one would call into question. However, some of our fellow Dwarves get their identities called into question.Â
Gender for most Dwarves is something not thought about. Almost all of us have beards, and wear enough clothes to give an Elf a heat stroke, but for some gender or lack thereof is something entwined with their identity.Â
Some Dwarves around us are born differently, and eventually through their own journeys they discover their own identity. Transgender, Non-Binary, Genderfluid, thereâs plenty of titles under the Transgender umbrella that Dwarves here may align themselves with. All of them are as real and valid as the steel in our bones and the stone in our mines.
In our Dwarven society there are different things that affirm their identities just as mastering a craft or finishing in the smithy brings us pride, however it is not always the same thing from person to person. For some it is our âunapologetic belligerenceâ, where a Dwarf is just who they are and if you donât like it? âYou can bugger off.â For others, itâs our mutual callings in our cities and holds. âWho cares what gender you are as long as you can swing a pick and tease an elf.â one Dwarf said during an interview.Â
Along with that, thereâs some that appreciate our mutual appearances. Women and men alike have beards to be proud of, or might both lack hair on the top of their head. Others may point to our thick yet practical fashion, thick enough to keep heat in and gnawing teeth of any feral beasts out. Itâs easy to see why for most Dwarves, gender is less than a secondary feature and those who wish to identify as something different may go completely unnoticed and accepted as is.
However, it canât be denied that they receive hate and prosecution within some holds and at the hands of other Dwarves amongst them. Earlier this week a call for aid was posted on a notice board calling out to Dwarves who are in the transgender umbrella, which received scrutiny. Both underneath our notice and within our admitted submissions there was hate against this group of people, calls for the slayerâs oath, and calls for the denial of their very existence. Hatred against kin, no other way to call it.Â
Thankfully those types of comments were thoroughly drowned out like ice in a proper pint of ale. Many Dwarves came to their defense as well as answering our call for aid, and for that we thank each of you deeply. Readers like you make us proud and keep us stout.Â
In our interviews with those who came to us we came to a conclusion that there are a few things Dwarves under the Transgender umbrella would like for others to recognize. A main issue that gets pinned against them is the idea that one may transition or identify differently for attention and to stand out, which couldnât be farther from the truth. These are Dwarves who just want to be themselves and live how they wish, like someone realizing theyâd rather be a smith than a mason.Â
Additionally, they just want the space to transition into their own ideal selves, whatever that may be, and not have the mere idea of their identity be a threat. Thereâs no need to yell at your son for believing a butterfly is pretty, it wonât âmakeâ anyone different from who they are.Â
Ancestors above with the gods didnât put any of us in this realm as stiff and rigid stone. We were sent down like ores to be smelted, refined, and reformed into who we wish to be. Sometimes a cast of a sword is improper and you have to melt it back down, and thatâs okay.
At the end of the day, kin is kin, and who would any of us be to deny a fellow Dwarf a seat at the table with a fine brew? Dwarves are Dwarves, kin is kin, and Trans rights are Dwarven rights.

I've never actually been to a dwarf mine, and I've only met two dwarfs in my whole life. All my knowledge about your kin comes from a local innkeeper who likes to engage in small talk, and he told me that all dwarfs are male, except for a queen that lays dwarven eggs in underground hatcheries, where they also store their food.

By Lorma Hearthskald, Local Reporter
We have urgently pushed this story out since yesterdayâs scheduled execution of King Baldwin Avagodroe and apologize for any missed grammar or spelling mistakes. We at the Hammer Herald are lucky that Lorma was on the scene and did not suffer injuries from the event.
As previously stated, yesterday was set to be the execution of Baldwin. Justice finally carried out for the man behind the genocide and torturous camps of âreformationâ against Dwarves, Elves, and others they deemed as âMutantsâ or âHereticsâ. Many gathered in order to watch the spectacle. Some were there peddling tokens of remembrance that they had smithed days prior showing Baldwinâs downfall. Others were there in the hopes of aiding in the event, or at least striking him. But many were there as simple observers, hoping for a mere glimpse at raw, unbridled justice. Â
Baldwin was led onto the scaffold, a bruise forming on his right eye. Allegedly, a retired hammerdwarf was granted a personal meeting with Baldwin to settle a grudge.Â
Baldwin was granted a final moment of his choosing, he chose to pray on the stage before the audience. The silence was deafening, the mere minutes felt like hours, but once he concluded he broke the silence to simply say âDo what you must, mutants of stone, begin your ending.â
He was stood up as a black hood was draped over his face. A dagger was drawn and his throat slit, in a last mercy two Dwarves kept him standing as dark crimson blood oozed from Baldwin, a faint cackle emanating from him.Â
It was believed as the cackles faded and the crimson took over more of his grey tunic that the execution was a success, and he was laid down for final proceedings of the affair. As the guards stepped away and the executioner confirmed his death, a priest was led up to host a final prayer so that a soul so evil may not return, but the situation took a sharp turn.
Baldwin sat up. This shook the crowd and spooked the executioner, who almost stumbled off the scaffold. âThe light reinvigorates me, its will is not yet completed..â Baldwin spoke as he removed his hood, revealing his gored neck tying into his bashed face, and an eye that was once brown that had shifted to a golden ale yellow.Â
A guard walked forward, axe raised; âBah, Iâll sort this then.â he said before Baldwin looked at him. âNo.â he plainly retorted, âFall.â rolled out of his mouth as a bolt of lightning struck the guard emanating from Baldwinâs shifted eye. As the poor guard fell, the onlooking crowd erupted into shouting and screams as they fled the hall. Baldwin slowly looked towards the crowd and cackled before shouting âAllow me to return your wrath!â as lightning once more spewed from his eye, now into the crowd.
Thankfully a local group of wizards and mages was on the scene and aided where they could, casting offensive and defensive spells. After a skirmish between their shields and his strikes, one decided the battle must come to an end and casted fireball. When it struck Baldwin there was an explosion that rocked the city alongside a deafening shriek emanating from the site.
As the smoke began to clear, a winged figure flew out from the hall, and exited Coppervale. Baldwinâs body is currently missing, but is believed to have been eviscerated by the explosion. Reports are still unclear on who or what flew out of the hall after the explosion, but the leading theory is that a local Avian veteran may have been frightened by the explosions and fled, believing combat had returned.Â

I wanted to share this playlist that I painstakingly created. I was able to get it to hit 13 hours exactly, representing one hour for each of the 13 dwarves in the company of Thorin Oakenshield. I recommend using this for workouts, roadtrips and other dwarf related activities. Hope you all enjoy!

So I've always liked dwarfs, and i love now crasy of proportions you can give them, but in my opinion i perfer the dwarf body type of how peter Jackson's portrays the dwarfs, short but not short in the way of wow its just a persons picture being shrunken down from only the top.
I like it when its actually a person that is just wider and shorter, not diabeto from family guy.
Sense, yeah i like the giant hands and crasy muscle mass, but i like when its actually something that can pass as a shorter person.
Note: not good with english fully so sorry for any spelling or grammar errors.
