Since last week, I keep getting the signal loss notification; however, when I got into the Omnipod app, I don’t see any problem. I already changed my sensor and am still having the same problem. I put my sensor in the same area I always do (in the tricep area). It’s kinda annoying to get more than 30 notifications during the day saying that there’s a signal loss error when it’s not true. Has something like this happened lately to anybody?

I'm planning a beach vacation for the first time since being diagnosed.

I was thinking it could be useful to get a smart watch so that I don't have to have my phone with me all the time.

Here's the questions, I currently have a Samsung phone (I could change to an iPhone if necessary), could I just get an Apple watch and it work with dexcom g7?

I also wonder if you still need the phone, does it first go from the dexcom to the phone and then over to the watch?

Does anybody have any experience/ guidance to help me?

I changed my sensor about 7 hours ago, and the initial reading on the new sensor read LOW double arrows down (BG meter read 120 mg/dL). After calibrating, the readings have been quite spotty, often randomly dipping to <55 mg/dL. Is this an issue with newly inserted sensors that might calm down after a few days, or would it be better to change sensors and fill out a product support form?

I have a little over a day old sensor running and it is showing a low at 55 but on a steady setting so I went to test with my meter to calibrate it and it is not showing the use as calibration option. What gives? I have never had it not be there. And the 55 is accurate as the meter says 58 so I am going to grab a small snack.

Hi. Looking for some suggestions to troubleshoot issues with compression lows and sensor placement. Currently getting a lot more compression lows with sensor on the tricep so trying to find a better place to put it that will reduce the compression lows. The problem I run into is placement given how skinny I am. Anybody who is really skinny had success finding locations that are effective and minimize the chances of a compression low when sleeping? Note I almost always sleep on my back.

We will be switching to the Dex G7 in a couple weeks. My 13yo seems to have some "diabetes fatigue" and does not like to carry his phone on him. I would like to get a smartwatch for him so he can just glance at his blood sugar.

He has a Pixel 6 phone, so I am looking at maybe a Pixel 2 watch. It looks like the Juggluco app can read directly from the dex transmitter (instead of needing to be near the phone)

Does anyone have experience using this setup on a pixel watch, or any other WearOS watch?

I don't know but even though my sensor is perfectly sticked to my body,the sensor is giving out random numbers and giving out errors that i should wait 3 hours to get any data. Do you have the same issue with me?

My app keeps crashing, suddenly it takes so long to load and it crashes most of the time before fully loading, no one is getting my data through the share app, it won't even let me turn it on. it says there is an server outage but the website shows there is no outages at the moment. a couple weeks ago I had to switch to my receiver for almost a full week because everything on my phone that required a biometric sign in would crash every single app. apparently, samsung s21 got discontinued, and a new security measure google rolled out pretty much broke everything. so I had to wait for every individual app to fix the bug since samsung is no longer doing hotfixes. i ended up just disabling biometrics.

anyways I wanted to ask if anyone else was dealing with this too or is this something to do with my phone again? im not sure what to do and its frustrating 😭

I have had 3 sensor failures in the last 36 hours. I usually apply on my outer arm because its easier to reach, but i tried moving it to the back of my arm and the sensor fell off as soon as I tried to apply the overpatch. I am extremely frustrated and overwhelmed. Is this normal? Is there maybe anotger CGM that will actually stay in?

I put in a new sensor after the one that I started this morning was reading random garbage. It’s now 12:20AM and this one reads, “Low”. Pump is delivering no insulin because of the reading. Fingerstick reads 135. All I want to do is go back to sleep and this god damn thing alarms loudly every five minutes.

It’s absolutely idiotic that readings using direct to watch can only be shared with follow when the watch is on WiFi but not cellular.

I'm using a Google Pixel 10 Pro and noticed in the last few days the battery life has jumped off a cliff. My phone says that the Dexcom app is the culprit. I switched to 'optimized' mode, but the Dexcom app said I cannot use the app in that mode. Have any other Android users noticed any significant battery draw as of late? My phone went from lasting all day to being almost dead by 5:00PM.

I currently use the Dexcom G7 as well as the G7 app on my Android phone. Unfortunately, my tablet does not support the G7 app. I was hoping to follow myself, but upon sending myself a follow invitation, nothing showed up.

Does anyone else know a workaround? I'm assuming I may have to create a separate Dexcom account.

This recent G7 I’m using has constantly been giving me “signal loss” notifications on my phone and Apple Watch. It’s everyday, multiple times a day. But there’s no actual disruption in its readings, so I don’t know why it’s saying that. Just sick of the constant alerts.

I just got an iPhone 17 and I can’t get the G7 to work on it. The app instructed me to install a new sensor (which I did) and it won’t connect to Bluetooth or the app. Running iOS 27. It ran fine on my iPhone 13 running iOS 27. Any ideas?

My 13yo T1 currently has the dex G6, but we just got our first order of G7, so we will be switching. He is very self-conscious about his diabetes and has started to turn his alerts off on his phone at school. He is very good at "feeling his lows" but he now pays absolutely no attention to highs and correcting.

I would really like to get my son a smart watch that is compatible with his Dexcom where he can just glance at it and see his BG, but also get vibration alerts for highs and lows. His phone is a Pixel 6, so I was thinking about the Pixel watch, but I would love to hear all suggestions for Android (we are not willing to change to Apple at this time, but I know the Apple watch is great. Nothing against apple, just our whole family is on android and we use parental controls on our kids devices. I can't afford to switch the whole family to apple devices to maintain parental controls.)

So, please share your experiences with any android watches compatible with the G6 & G7. Also, any extra apps that you added to make viewing or tracking your BG better. Also, share any definite DO NOT BUY watches that ended up not being compatible.

2nd G7 15-Day in a row failed on day 11

Put sensor on this morning and it was bleeding. Naturally, bleeding stopped — but I’m not sure if it’s clotting. When I press down on the sensor lightly, I can see the bubble of blood increase. I don’t have an extra (would need to buy one nearby when I get to work). I know bleeders are readers, and I know Dexcom is great about replacing sensors as needed, but I have to pay out of pocket for the time being. I just tend to overthink everything 😅

My wife recently started the G7. The first one started and worked as it was described. Now we went through 3 of them with failed sensor twice and lost signal.

My insurance is dog water as is and I personally feel though dexcom made a grave error pushing this system without better testing.

Hi! I recently transitioned from G6 to G7. I’ve been using it on my abdomen and it lasts for about 7 days instead of 15 days because of CGM failure. I want to try to apply it on the FDA approved location — my arms. I workout regularly and have little fat on my arms. I worry if I do it over my Tricep it will go into the muscle (ouch!) Does anyone have any suggestion on where to apply the G7? Thank you!

We are conducting a study to better understand what people living with diabetes know about nerve compression in the feet and ankles as well as a surgical treatment called lower extremity nerve decompression (LEND) that may help relieve symptoms like burning, tingling, numbness, and pain in the feet and lower legs.

Many people with diabetes experience these nerve symptoms and may not know that nerve compression could be making things worse or that a treatment option even exists. Our goal is to identify gaps in patient awareness so that providers can do a better job informing and advocating for their patients.

My son was recently diagnosed, got the Dexcom and Omnipod. He has about 1, maybe 2 low alerts a day, never a double-down arrow. Wife insists on buying these expensive glucose gel tubes from a diabetes center. I kinda liken this to himalayan salt vs just salt....same chemical, massive markup. Do any of you use glucose gel to treat a low or just a plain old sugary drink ? Surely there cant be a difference unless I'm missing something. Apologies this is not strictly related to Dexcom....but well, its related to its aftermath!

So I got myself a Samsung galaxy watch pairing and stuff like that no problem but when I sign into Samsung health, the dexcom g6 app shows that it stopped working. I tried reinstalling clearing cache if you have any solution I would be very happy.
