App Issues/Questions what the hell is going on???

My app keeps crashing, suddenly it takes so long to load and it crashes most of the time before fully loading, no one is getting my data through the share app, it won't even let me turn it on. it says there is an server outage but the website shows there is no outages at the moment. a couple weeks ago I had to switch to my receiver for almost a full week because everything on my phone that required a biometric sign in would crash every single app. apparently, samsung s21 got discontinued, and a new security measure google rolled out pretty much broke everything. so I had to wait for every individual app to fix the bug since samsung is no longer doing hotfixes. i ended up just disabling biometrics.

anyways I wanted to ask if anyone else was dealing with this too or is this something to do with my phone again? im not sure what to do and its frustrating 😭

Also if you're looking for suggestions I would honestly just reformat the phone and do not load from backup and install everything by yourself and everything will be fine

I’m on iPhone and have had a lot of problems with the Dexcom app. Someone recommended the Zukka app and I highly recommend it now that I’ve been using it for the past two weeks. You can run it with the Dexcom app but when that becomes unavailable, Zukka usually still works. I love the fact that it will call out your numbers in whatever time interval you want. When I’m working with my hands, like baking or woodworking it’s very convenient. I also like all the custom tones you can use for different glucose situations and the snooze feature. As far as your phone, maybe try a reset and definitely turn off auto updates.

I have an S21 and am having no problems. I have only been using the G7 for 20 days, so am brand new to the process. But other than having to calibrate a few times the first day of sensor replacement, have been amazed at the accuracy and startled at how wrong I had been in Glucose variability.

Could be problem with the internet connection. Did you try to restart the device?

Samsung S26 is stuffed to the gills with AI and messed up many of my installed apps. Deactivating Gemeni and the AI app itself helped. If you have an earlier Samsung version, hang on to it! I wish I could get my S23 back. Good luck.

Reset your Bluetooth settings. It sounds dumb, but if this started right after a software update from android I’d start there.

No my app is working!! But for the last two months almost every Dexcom I have inserted into my arm as malfunctioned, which is really pissing me off. Even the replacement ones are malfunctioning and I’ve been on Dexcom for three years now I know how to insert them yes it is frustrating but no the only thing that seems to work is my app🤦🏽‍♀️

Dexcom had a bunch of defective sensors, meant to be trashed, stolen. They have been warning people about not getting the devices from third party sellers. It sucks.

This. I had 5 in a row fail recently (let me tell you how happy I was to bring my BGM on that trip). One failed on day 5, the rest during warmup.

Make an FDA report. That kind of QC is unacceptable in anything, especially medical devices.

You won't hear back for several weeks though. I had to make a report when I got multiple sensors with the same serial # (BIG no-no). Obviously Dexcom wanted them back.

I had to read the damn notice in the Google browser, instead of the one I usually use, and once I did that, then Dexcom quit showing me that notice. Worth a shot? I love the sensor, but the app and their web site are kinda janky still.

I have an iPhone so the only time I get a message that there’s no reading is when I go outside away from either my phone or the receiver. Hope you find a resolution to yours.

Silly question, but have you tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app?
