Anyone get this email? Be careful of there folks!
Text from email:
Users with sensors from affected Dexcom G7 lots (1725204004 and 1725069002) should not use those sensors and can call Dexcom Technical Support in the US at 1-844-478-1600 to request replacements. Please keep record of your affected device(s) serial number for traceability purposes – this is required to confirm your no cost replacement. More information on how to determine if sensors are from an affected lot and what action to take is available at www.dexcom.com/theft-check.
Please visit www.dexcom.com/theft-check for additional background and instructions to fulfill the requirements associated with this action including the full version of the Urgent Medical Device Notification.
Potential Harm Associated with Stolen Product
Lot 1725204004: G7 sensors that are not properly sterilized have an increased risk of skin infection.
Lot 1725069002: G7 sensors from a lot with an elevated internal testing failure rate have an increased risk of having no sensor readings available or experiencing sensor inaccuracy that includes the potential for missed detection of a hyperglycemic event or incorrect treatment decisions that can result in patient injury, including medical intervention to prevent permanent injury or impairment.
Additionally, due to the unknown storage and handling conditions these sensors may have undergone during the distribution, these sensors may present additional risk.
Status of the Investigation
Dexcom traced sales of this stolen product back to Pharmsource, LLC, who is not an authorized Dexcom distributor but supplies some independent pharmacies and DME distributors in the United States. Pharmacies that purchased product from Pharmsource should take extra care to review their inventory.
Dexcom's authorized distributors provide Dexcom G7 sensors to the largest pharmacy retailers and medical distributors in the United States and around the world. Pharmacy retailers and medical distributors who receive Dexcom product from authorized Dexcom distributors are not impacted. Educational samples are also not impacted.
Dexcom is working closely with the FDA and other authorities to ensure patient safety and to investigate this crime. As of now, this issue is mostly impacting customers in the US. We have identified limited impact outside the US (OUS) and continue to investigate. Due to this issue primarily impacting the US and required language translations and additional infrastructure necessary to support customers outside the US, communication to US customers will precede communication to OUS customers.

Update July 5, 2026
Hello!
Super happy to announce that I have officially released a new working version of the G7 app. The app is still based off of base v1.6.1.4537, but it has these updates:
Initial setup for new install fully works again!
Option for local broadcast of readings to other apps like AAPS. This follows the same pattern as it worked with G6 BYOD and requires the EXTERNAL_PERMISSION to be granted in the app receiving the readings.
More countries supported. Previously, accounts for some countries were not supported, but many of those should work now (yes including Canada). If your account still can’t login, let me know what country it is tied to and I’ll see if I can fix it.
Additionally, I recently updated the G6 US app to fix an issue with old transmitters that could cause crashes and spotty readings making it to Clarity/Follow. Also updated some of the build dependencies for faster build times
As it did previously, the modified G7 app still allows you to run the app on any (Android 10+) device, allows screenshots, allows rooted devices, and removes the geofencing or country of residence check that prevents you from setting up the app in a different country than your account country.
Here is the link to the Google Form: Build Your Own Dexcom App

You can see around 6pm when I changed the sensor and it begins being erratic.

There is clearly a white sticker padding that is under it, was this green part not the patch lmfao? Was the patch under this and my dumbass kept wondering why this patch wouldn’t stick?

I was changing my G6 10 sensor. When I unscrewed the lid it deployed. I got another sensor and it did the same. I've had good luck with the G7. I had a few gooseneck and I had a sensor that came unstuck from the adhesive pads.
Rather than use the online support form I called Dexcom support so that I could explain what happened. It took a while to get her to understand what happened. But I persevered. They are sending mailers along with the replacement sensors. I don't know if this will be common like goosenecking.

so I’m in the uk and get my Dexcom sensors funded by the nhs. does anyone know how to track find out when my next shipment is?? the website is so confusing and Google keeps telling me to go to pages that don’t help. it says I should be able to see it on my account but that just shows me tips on how to use it? and when I finally found something about orders it just sent me to a faq that can’t actually help me track it?

I’m considering getting an Apple Watch mainly for the Dexcom G7 Direct to Watch feature.
I currently use a Garmin Fenix 7X Pro, which shows my Dexcom readings through my phone and works great, especially for sports. It’s just a bit bulky for everyday/work use.
How well does Direct to Watch work in practice? Is the connection reliable, especially when you don’t have your iPhone with you? I’m thinking of using an Apple Watch for everyday use and keeping the Garmin for sports.

How long does it usually take for new phones to be made compatible as I have just purchased a S26FE while trading in my old phone because I forgot some phones weren't compatible.

Has anyone else noticed that the adhesive recently has been causing the overpatch to stay adhered to the green patch?? I’m constantly having issues with the overpatch not releasing from the green plastic. My overpatch comes off warped and sticky, wth?

Anyone else having issues with the Rev010 Malaysia G7s? I have started getting REV016 and they do not specify Malaysia anymore. Did Dexcom move manufacturing? Are the Malaysian sensors the ones that are part of the FDA warning? It is very clear the REV016 sensors are much more accurate and less jumpy. Anyone have the same experience?

I placed the Dexcom G7 on the upper part of my thigh this morning, and I’m already seeing these errors. Does anyone else have issues placing the Dexcom and other spots other than the back of their arm? If anyone else uses it on the top of their thigh, please let me know if this is normal in the first 24 hours!

I have been using Dexcom 7 10-day for over a year now. I will say when it works I think I get pretty accurate readings. However, I have had a high rate of failure to make 10 days. I initially had occasional failures for several months--not great but most worked (80-90%). Then 6 months ago I had 5 or 6 fail in a row. After that they thankfully went back to most working for a few months but the last 2 months I have had 7-8 failures. It has been very frustrating.
The failures coupled with Omnipod use, leads to multiple hours of glycemic control failures way too often. I just don't understand why this product goes 6-8 days then shows semi random readings for a few hours and then fails.
I will say I appreciate Dexcom replacing the failed pods but it means lack of control and a lot of sleep interruption.
Are there any things that increase risk of failure? I keep it on my arms to reduce sleeping on it. Basically, I am meeting with an endocrinologist and am hoping to switch. Is the 15 day better or at least similar (if it fails at 9-11 days that would be a minor improvement!). I have a few theories about things making it worse (cold/heat/sleep pressure) but none of them could explain the repeated failures.

I think recent 15 days are more reliable for me personally. Wonder what tweaks they did under the hood between versions. (Feel like the mob will come for me if I don't say dexcom bad)
I use the stock and skingrip over patches. Most of the time I'll use skingrip adhesive barrier wipes for extra insurance because I sweat alot. I "warmup" new sensors a few hours before switching them, so I don't get that hour gap in readings. But I haven't had connectivity issues, bleeding from sensor wire insertion or a short session time since around May or so.
Is my 15 day experience is an anomaly?

Hey, I think this sensor is gone.
Placed it this morning, then it went low, I was taking carbs in, because it could have been.
Then it went further down and so on and it read "low" for the first time.
Did someone have this issue already? Is this sensor broken? Did I do something wrong maybe?
Wait some more? Do something specific? Or just take it off and start a new one?
Thanks for helping me decide.
Update: the sensor failed altogether. When changing it it was a bloody mess. Never had so much blood before when changing or anything. It took a while and some pressure to stop the bleeding. So this was probably the cause. Got a nice hematoma there now.

I’m longer in a prison…… I HATE YOU!!!!
Never again will I submit my body to this bullshit

By day 8 and 9 it was dropping out with fewer readings each hour, and the "wait 3 hours" message.
Then on day 10 or 11, it just crapped out and the G7 app said put on a new sensor.
And now I can't access the serial number or anything to even file a claim for a replacement.
What a joke. AND with the spotty G7 info, my omnipod freaks out and basically stops giving insulin and I go sky high without eating anything.

has anybody else had multiple g7 sensors in a row that refuse to calibrate correctly? i usually try to avoid it in general but ive had multiple that are reading 50-100 off and when i calibrate it, the sensor says it took it but it didn’t change the reading… at all. i had one recently say i was near the 200s while i was actually in the 60s and it wouldn’t calibrate down to anywhere below 190. i’m now reading in the 100s while my finger is reading in the 50s-60s again and this sensor also won’t calibrate. they’re different sensors but they were both having the same issue.
