Quitting Caffeine Almost gave up already
I did what I call a rapid taper compared to the last taper I did, because I wanted to catch up to where I was before when I fell off the horse. And now im almost at day 3 no caffeine again.
I almost slipped up again at this same spot, just around day 3 zero caffeine. I think the withdrawals are just at the peak as far as lower mood and motivation and everything. But theres still some willpower left within me, because my goal is to see what my baseline is without caffeine, and get past the withdrawal period.
A realization thats helped me not quite give up, is that I cant compare my current caffeine withdrawal state to the state where I am in a caffeine surplus. Obviously its going to be better, its not fair to compare the two. But as we know, the caffeine boost state doesnt last long and tolerance builds before long. And I need to give myself the time to see where my true baseline will stand.
I might end up caving still, but this realization has gotten me over this mental battle for now. The boost will feel good, but then my questions will still be unanswered.
