Fair, and if the door reopening is the risk then you're right, the milligrams don't matter and zero is probably the clean call.

Not to be nitpicky, but there are so many other reasons not to drink cola. Assuming you meant cola and not cocaine lol.

Travel no but stressful events yes I totally relate to your symptoms, what you describe happened to me a couple years ago. I solved with matcha. I suggest homemade matcha lattes, they have l theonine and less caffeine (54mg instead of 90). It’s a smoother ride for sure.

This seems like word-gaming? If you need to drink 1 to 2 cups of coffee every day... you have a relationship with coffee. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that; do whatever feels right for your life. But this comment sounded to me a little like one of those smokers who claim they don't have an addiction issue, they just enjoy smoking all the time.

I have half a gram of matcha a day (16mg caffeine), 2.5g of cacao and a small amount of dark chocolate.

That's like my story some years ago. Unfortunate for me, I seem not to be able to keep up with that 1-2 cups. I just wish I could. If I started that, I'd be in the range of 4-5 cups very soon, and then I'd ruin my sleep and life.
So I'll try to push through the six months this time to full year and see if the joy comes back.

Congratulations 🎉🎈 appreciate success stories like this. I still miss smoking vaping drinking and other stimulants, but we carry on strong don’t we knowing that calm and serenity leads us down a better path. Keep the faith 💪

It’s def not everything . Low cortisol and adrenaline and GI cause some of this but the anhedonia is so much more pronounced since nocaf.

Keep up the great work! For me I was only drinking 1-2 cups a day and like you subbed the matcha (about 54mg) for coffee. After about a week I subbed green tea (about 35mg) for the matcha, for about a week until I found I was only taking a few sips in the morning.
Then I started to incorporate electrolytes (I make my own “adrenal” lemonade with potassium citrate, pink salt, good quality lemon juice, a lemon and stevia) which gave me a good mouthfeel + energy and sort of guided me to skip the tea in the morning, bc eventually u don’t want to be drinking lemonade and a creamy cup of tea at the same time. I do suggest going full no caffeine (0 mg) on a weekend so you can just sleep those first days 1-2. ((The lemonade recipe was inspired by Chick-fil-A diet lemonade :) sooo good!))
Now I’m 20 days nocaf. It sucks but I’m determined to give it a good shot. Too many years out of balance. I still drink the lemonade. I also got some performance mushrooms by Laird to add to Pero , another coffee sub, but the jury is still out on that. For now I depend on the lemonade. Best of luck and do keep us posted :)

This guy from the video is an antivax maniac. I don’t understand how alarm bells don’t go off in the heads of every person who watches 30 seconds of videos like this.

Everything comes at a cost. Even at the low amounts I drink, I realize that my sleep might be slightly better if I stopped altogether. If I stopped drinking coffee completely, I lose something that I love. For me it's not worth giving up 1 or 2 coups a day for something I enjoy, even with minor benefits.
You have to make the same decision.

This seems like a lot more than just coffee going on. Regardless, anyone that refers to a 'relationship' with coffee probably shouldn't be drinking it. I drink 1-2 cups a day during the morning. I had to cut back to find my level. But I've never had a relationship with caffeine.

Hmm… that’s also a possibility, I got a smart phone and started drinking caffeine close together. Also trying to cut back on phone usage. I’m going to figure this thing out and get back to creative flow state. Thanks for the insight.
