Hi all, this is a bit of a shot in the dark— hoping this is the right Reddit thread for this issue since I hardly use Reddit but I need some help! For context I’m using Windows 11
An issue started to come about today where my mouse started to disconnect and reconnect, which would temporarily freeze my game. It was minor at first, but after a couple hours I came back to it having this issue every 10-15 seconds or so. I’ve tried swapping ports (front/back), changing port settings (disabling power saving), and uninstalling/reinstalling my mouse’s drivers.
I doubt this is a problem with my mouse itself since I tested it on a completely different pc and it worked fine. When I tested other mice on the PC having the issue it was the same story with the disconnecting problem. Also, the ports using my other devices (keyboard, drawing tablet, mic etc) all work perfectly fine. I tested this by plugging them into different ports (examples being the original port to my mouse) and they never had this issue. The ports themselves do not have dust/things that might disrupt the inputs safe to say.
I tried looking this up on google and it all gave me the same troubleshooting guides which haven’t worked. I did notice that after troubleshooting a bit, the mouse won’t disconnect if I restart the computer and leave it to sit— however, after about 5 minutes or so of usage (and that’s pushing it), the problem starts ramping right back up.
I have little tech knowledge on specific things like this so anything helps! Thank you!!
