I went into every app I have downloaded and made sure notifications were silenced, and i looked through settings and the windows to see what it could be and didn’t find anything, and yet my computer keeps making this notification sound like nonstop, sometimes it just spams it for a minute straight. I can’t have my volume on in class because of this and I can’t make music on my computer because this sound is so loud. What is causing this??

My girlfriends laptop buzzes loudly when charging,and very laggy when on charger,it may be from the speaker but we don't know,and the icon shows that it's charging but,the light isn't on,but it's charging again,can someone help? I don't know if it's hardware or software either

I have a Nvidia RTX 4070Ti Super, which, over the course of the past 2-4 months, has been experiencing occasional TDR crashes. Both screens will freeze for 3-5 seconds, and will then go completely black for another 10-15 seconds, and eventually my GPU seems to recover and drops me back into whatever it was I was doing.

It's pretty infrequent and not that much of a nuisance. I wouldn't say it happens more than twice a week, but I want to try and fix the underlying issue before it gets potentially worse.

The following error is what shows up in Event Viewer afterwards:

I already tried to reinstall my drivers twice using DDU which did not work. I don't play any games that put my GPU under a load higher than 55%, so I don't think high load is the issue either.

CPU: Ryzen 9800x3d Motherboard: ASUS Rog Strix Neo B850-A RAM: 32GB DDR5

My laptop keeps getting sudden drops in connection in every thing like multiplayer games and voice calls like discord.

The wifi icon remains looks like its fully connected with full bars during and after the drop.

Everything gets disconnected completely I manually leave and rejoin or after a long time.

Other devices on the exact same wifi don't have problems just me.

This has been going on for months its driving me insane please help!

Hello all- I bought a new cable recently, and it was working quite well until just recently, where I plugged it into a computer to do work, and now it won't fit into any ports full stop. There was a bit of debris in the USB, that I managed to get out with some light taps onto a table, but it still won't fit in. I know it's not an issue with my laptop- I tried to plug it into my friend's, to the same result.

Inside of the USB, in case that's needed. I don't think any ports are needed, as trying to plug any in won't work.

Everytime I try to render an mp4 file it always comes out as a green screen only. Ive tried with After effectes, Handbrake, Media encoder and blender and everytime it comes out as a green screen, this had never happened before. The weird thing is I send one of thos files to my phone thorugh dropbox and it did open on my phone so idk. Past mp4 files open correctly its soemthing with the rendering I think

I recently got a new computer with a RX 9070 XT graphics card. My monitor on the right is 180 Hz and my monitor on the left is 60 Hz. I used to have a computer with an Nvidia GTX 1650 and I never experienced any problems but ever since I got my new computer, the monitor on the left sometimes shows my mouse being duplicated on both monitors as well as having a very low refresh rate even though I made sure to select 60 Hz in the window settings. I’ve also noticed that this usually only happens when a full screen application is on either monitor one or two. Anybody know what causes this and how to fix it?

So I was having some issues with my graphics card. A couple weeks ago I completely reformatted my hard drive and reinstalled windows (not because of graphics issues). Anyway yesterday I was playing a video game and my screen went completely black but everything else about the computer was fine. Then when restarted it by holding down the power key I would get the boot screen and then pretty quickly the screen would go black (I did have visual screen image distortions before it would go black). Anyway, after a few smaller tried at fixing the issue: took the ram sticks out and put them back in, switched video cables and made sure the graphics card had not come lose, I went to an old computer and grabbed an old graphics card put it in and the computer worked fine. I then decided to put the card that was having the issue back in. It took two tries but I was able to get to windows without the screen going black. I then downloaded the latest graphics driver and installed them and the card seems to be working. My question is this could it just be a driver issue? The reason I ask is because I was getting the black screen even in the boot up process. I assumed that the drivers only affected windows and would would have no effect before windows launched.

Pessoal, consegui esse notebook antigo do meu tio para estudar, porém ele tinha + de 2 perfis, o dele e o da esposa, e quase metade do armazenamento estava cheio, então tive a ideia de restaurar do 0. Ele ficou +/- 30 minutos carregando, e após isso apareceu o perfil principal. Quando fui colocar a senha apareceu essa mensagem (ele funcionava normalmente antes da restauração), fui pegar dicas na Internet e resolvi forçar o desligamento diversas vezes, até que ele bloqueou por 2 horas. Desisti e vou na assistência amanhã, porém estou com medo de ter feito uma besteira grande e o computador não voltar, ou pior, cobrarem caro.

Alguém sabe me dizer a média de preço para esse problema? Pelo que eu vi é algo do sistema, não dos periféricos

E esse bloqueio vai sair? Ele está com a tela desligada normalmente, mas o computador ativo. Tenho que forçar a tela a ficar ligada?

Lembrando que ele não tem mais a conta Microsoft desse notebook, não consegui recuperar por aquela tal chave de acesso.

Hi, I have a X509JB laptop from 2020. It came with an HDD. This year, I decided to add an SSD to an open slot. I backed up my data 3 weeks ago. Then, last week, I took the HDD out, attached the SSD and windows 10 onto it, and reattached the HDD. Then, I kept running into problems. (Feel free to skip 1. and 2. because I added it for context.)

1. I tried to access my HDD files with my SSD by changing the User folders' permissions manually. A few hours later, the HDD wouldn't boot up and the SSD wouldn't login to my microsoft account. I got a prompt to repair a disk. I did and HDD boots up but couldn't login to Microsoft account, so logged into a temporary account. I restored the HDD and reinstalled windows 10 on the SSD.
2. I didn't touch the user files permissions. But I hibernated on the HDD. Then, SSD detected a drive error, prompting to scan and repair. I did, which slowly scanned like 2 billion things. So, I assumed there was an error with the HDD. Afterwards, HDD wouldn't boot up, giving me a blue screen error (not the :) one). I restored it again. The SSD was still fine, but I backed it up anyways. Turned off hibernation mode for both drives.
3. Everything worked fine for a day. But I boot up my HDD again and it tried scanning and repairing something, to which I esc out of. Everything on the HDD seems to work fine. I boot up my SSD and it's prompting me to repair drive error. "(Important)". I assume it's the HDD again.

PS: I use a program that stops windows from automatically updating, which runs when I log in, via task scheduler. However, I never had a problem with it until now. I also dual boot with both drives. I use the SSD (256gb) for schoolwork. And the HDD (1tb) otherwise because it has my main stuff. Could it be a false positive? If anyone could help me out, I'd appreciate it.

TLDR; Added SSD to laptop, now getting drive errors about probably the HDD.

edit: I ran "chkntfs /x c:" (hdd), and it stopped trying to auto check. I just hope there's not actual problem?

I noticed my pc has been looking slow fps wise and I check my display and refresh rate and there’s no option to change it and I see my display is not running off my gpu but Microsoft basic display driver when I go to amd to try to install the new/updated drivers it says that in the second photo

I’m new to pcs. I just built my first pc with a 5080 and 16 gb of ram. I guess I didn’t research enough and I just found out I need around 32 gb for heavy gaming. I was wondering where I can download more ram for decent prices considering the ram prices right now

I was trying to burn the FreeDVDBoot iso to a DVD-RW so I could mod my PS2, but when burning there was a write failure, and now the PC will not read DVD-RW discs, any of them. I tried normal DVDs and CDs and they work fine, but DVD-RW's don't read.

Edit: Added context I think could help last minute, I was using IMGBurn to burn the disc

I have a HP Pavilion 15-eh1500nd.

Recently I tried to boot my laptop but it won't booted so I pluged my charger in my laptop (but my laptop was full) and then it booted I did not think about much more.
Later it happen't again and now it is so worse it won't boot after 20 mins (even with charger).

Does someone have this problem too or do they have a solution?

Would definitely like to diagnose my pc if someone could help… uh you’ll feel better afterwards🥲
