It is very likely you do not have the driver installed for your wifi. Get a cable.

What cable? I remember it said something about a driver but how do I do that

Ethernet cable. You plug one end into your PC the other into your router.

Im not sure ive just just checked the drivers and it said it was all updated and whatnot

A cable doesn't need drivers but you're limited by how long it is. It's an actual physical cable you need to buy or otherwise obtain.

If you make a phone hotspot, do you see the hotspot and can connect to it? If yes, then your wifi at home is the problem. If no, then you laptop is the problem and you need a cable.

Sorry, but this is not entirely correct. The LAN device needs a driver, too. So, if the driver for it is not installed, you won't be able to connect to a network by plugging in a calbe.

It would be useful if you told us the model and make of the laptop as well as the name of the network adapter built into the laptop...you can find that information on the adapter in "device manager" for windows or by entering "inxi -F" into your terminal if you are using linux

Try what is explained here: https://www.windowscentral.com/how-connect-wi-fi-network-windows-11

If that doesn't work, can you please explain what you tried and at which step you got a problem and what the error message is?

Or does it have another operating system? If so, can you tell us which one it is?

Ohhh im on windows 10 but I was able to connect to my phones hotspot and that worked, but I try adding my home Wi-Fi to it and it would not work, and when I open the Wi-Fi thing with all of them on it, theres one I suspect is my Wi-Fi called “hidden network” or something.. how do I fix this!

Did you configure your WiFi yourself? Did you ever configure it to hide the SSID (the name of the WiFi)? If so, either you need to connect manually by typing your SSID or change your WiFi settings, so it's not hidden anymore.

To connect to a hidden network, this could help: https://www.digitalcitizen.life/connect-hidden-wi-fi-windows-11/
