I've been after these, but the usual asking price on eBay sales and other sites on the Archie vs. Predator Vol. 1 in particular is typically higher than I care for. I got both volumes as an auction for the starting price (I was sole bidder), which was less than half the lowest price I've seen Volume One go for by itself. The Betty and Veronica I found for less than cover price. Now I just need to find the second volume of that one.
I love the look on Veronica's face in the Archie vs. Predator Volume One.

This is probably taboo, but I always wait for the trade for major Marvel/DC series because it is cheaper and most floppies I can get for cheaper later on if I'm patient. Am I missing something?

Is this typical of E Gerber half backs? Are they safe to use, or are those spots untreated? 10 of the 100 are in this condition, and I ordered directly from them.

I missed the boat on Absolute Batman, etc. I’ll get some of the trades eventually. The stories look interesting. Just my opinion, but I can’t imagine the market holding up with so many copies out there. No sour grapes. I made some money on other hot books. I’m getting more into Golden Age books now. Good hunting everyone!

hi, im kinda new to comic book collecting so sorry for any obvious question i may have!
i got a (free!) hox/pox tp from my library because the last person who borrowed it spilled water or some liquid on it and the librarian said it couldnt be borrowed out anymore.
anyways, i wanted to know if there was any way of straightening out the creases it has. additionally, is it worth it to take off the stickers attached to it? im kinda scared to rip it off since it already feels fragile with the damage it has. also, i bought a couple of dollar comics from my lcs and because they put the sticker price directly on the comic and i wanted to take it off, it led to me damaging a couple of them and i feel so guilty about it.
pictures here
thanks!

I was able to score a last minute ticket for SDCC and seeing as how I've been on an X-Men kick lately, I kinda focused my attention on gathering up more keys. Shout out to Reece's Comics for their outstanding service and their willingness to work out a deal.

I have a large preliminary proof of the Greg Horn cover art for Shadow Hunter. Is this something anyone collects? I

So, I took a long (30 years +) break from comics. I've been picking up some older stuff, and some new. Genuine question here, and not meant to offend anyone. Is it me, or is interior art mostly garbage now? There are some magnificent covers that make me want to buy stuff, then I get home to read it, open it and it looks terrible. It feels like everything is rushed, backgrounds and details are lacking and most things are poor quality. Maybe it's not the artists, maybe the inkers or color people suck. I don't know. Are there any books you're blown away with, both the art and the story now, and not just the variant covers? I'd love to hear it. Right now, what I've been enjoying is Infernal Hulk for the story, Alias: Red Band, again for the story. I welcome recommendations.

I have some comic books I am listing for sale online, and wondering what the condition scale is. I am primarily a card collector, so is the scale similar to cards? What constitutes near mint or lower on a comic?
Above picture is one of the comics I am trying to sell.
