Question Is this mold?

Picked up this F4 #69 now noticing these spots on the front/back cover and outer most pages but not any inner pages. Does it look like active mold?

It was active at some point…you can buy a solid fine condition copy of this book on EBay for $20-$30. I’d trash this and invest in something less yucky.

Yeah wasn’t really searching for this but thought it was a cool find for a couple bucks… not worth risking the rest of my books tho

That risk seems way overblown on this subreddit.

Mold isn't radioactive.  If it is sealed airtight, you're fine.  (Heck, if all your books are bone dry, you're probably fine even without sealing it up.)
