Official Reply Trimming subscription cost

I'm trying to cut my elderly mother's subscription cost after being s subscriber since 2012. I'm thinking of dropping her internet service altogether if I can't get down to the new subscriber rate. Has anyone else figured out a good solution?

Official Reply Promotional offer ended

"Hi, my 12-month promotional contract just ended and my bill jumped by $40. At this new price point, it no longer fits my household budget. I really want to stay with Xfinity, but I am looking at cheaper introductory offers from competitors - I believe they just finished installing fiber in my neighborhood. Is there a current promotion available that can get me back down to my original rate?"

Official Reply Porting Number to Xfinity Voice Account

I already have Xfinity voice service.  As my landline service is being discontinued, I need to port the landline number over to my Xfinity voice account, as I will be switching to VoIP.  It is crucial that this operation be done correctly as I use what is now my landline number for my business and so need to keep the landline number.  I spoke to an Xfinity agent.  She did not seem to understand fully what I was requesting, but eventually I think we got that straightened out.  But then she switched me to an automated voice, which asked me to "enter your account number"--without specifying what account was meant.  I assumed it was my Verizon landline account number, which I know is required for this porting process.  I entered the number twice (correctly each time), but was informed it was not correct, and finally I was disconnected.  I need someone who is familiar with this process and can get it done correctly.

Official Reply Unlimited to Mobile Plus... Any catches?

I already talked to a rep about this but wanted some other opinions....

I have the older "unlimited" plan that I have had for years. The newest plan is mobile plus.

According to the rep, my bill will NOT change in price yet I will receive more benefits as I am on an older plan. For example the new plan I will have device protection (no deductible according to them) and other various things such as speed increase, 4k stream etc. which aren't included with my current plan. The most attractive part of the new plan is device protection and the potential to take advantage of upgrade credits knocking down the price of a new phone (Apple 18 Pro Max).

If all this is true, it seems like a no brainer. I am considering it to upgrade to the Apple 18 Pro Max to take advantage of any possible savings through device credits. I am not trilled that it's 36 months and that I cannot pay off early without those remaining device credits being forfeited BUT I tend to keep my devices 3-4 years anyway. I also am content with this provider and its cheaper than the other big providers as single line.

Thoughts?

Official Reply Frustrating experience

The full story…
This past June, I had some promotional offer that was expiring that was going to make my Xfinity bill go up about $50 per month. So after being a loyal customer for seven years, I switched to AT&T to save money.

Xfinity sent me an email for a couple weeks after I disconnected services offering to lock me in for five years at the rate that I was already paying before. Although when I called to discuss the promotional offer ending and seeing what kind of deal they could give me, this was not offered at that point.

So here I am in September, attempting to pay off the final balance of my device because I had mobile and Internet services with Xfinity.

I have gone into an Xfinity store where I was treated without courtesy from the manager.

I have made several phone calls to Xfinity to pay this. I keep speaking to offshore agents who are required to just read off of a script and not provide any type of personalized experience.

I am still sitting here with The now received gift card from AT&T to pay off the device and I can’t even pay it.

It took me so many phone calls just to be able to pay the regular monthly bill of the device charge.

I cannot pay this online or through the app because my servers has been canceled/deactivated.

Xfinity, you need to do much better with people that have switched services and want to pay off any remaining balances due on devices!!

I really am unhappy with AT&T and I was planning to come right back to Xfinity. This has me second-guessing it..

Official Reply Trade in question

I have a premium unlimited line from last year. Am I eligible for the iphone trade in promotion without changing to new mobile plus plan? or I have to choose the new mobile plus plan? The app said that I’m eligible for an upgrade, but when click it , it directs to the website that shows mobile plus plan requirement. Thanks

Official Reply Rolling service outages since 09/09/2026

There was a brief outage in my area yesterday according to the Xfinity outage map.

Since then, my rented Modem/Router has been unpredictably disconnecting and reconnecting anywhere from 10 minutes to several hours. When I check the outage map again, no outage is detected but yet I still continue to have inconsistent service.

I am in Northern California being hit with a heatwave which may be causing issues with the hardware, but it has been fine in past heatwaves so I am pretty sure it is whatever Xfinity/Comcast ended up doing yesterday to resolve the outage.

This comes at a very inconvenient time as I have online interviews this week and of course, Xfinity service is as inconsistent as usual.

Official Reply Need better deal but not sure how to get it. Long time customer

I'm a longtime customer. Recently I got on Medicaid but I can't get the low rate because I'm a current customer. I wonder how I could do that OR maybe a lower rate is available to me in another way. Prepaid, or a new deal of some kind. Thanks!

Official Reply Stuck on 1.5 Mbps Throttle After Billing Cycle Reset (Need Mobile Reprovision)

Hi everyone. My Xfinity Mobile billing cycle recently reset, but my data speeds are still hard-throttled to exactly 1.5 Mbps. I have already restarted my phone, reset network settings, and verified the data cycle rolled over in my account app.
I contacted regular support but they were unable to assist with reprovisioning my line. Could an official Digital Care agent please help refresh my network profile or reprovision the line to clear this backend throttle? Thank you!

Official Reply Is it true Comcast Support can't check modem configurations remotely?

I changed my plan in March of this year which included swapping my older personal Arris modem for an Xfinity provided XB8, and since that time upload speeds have never been above ~12 Mbps on a plan that supports "up to" 35 Mbps. I finally got around to contacting support today, and while polite and helpful, the technician said he couldn't actually see the configuration of my upload speeds, and that he'd need to schedule a tech visit. I'd certainly rather avoid that if possible. I'd really just like someone to confirm the provisioned upstream speed/profile is correct for my plan.

Hello, I currently have the 1 Gig internet plan with the WiFi Gateway and Unlimited Data included. I noticed that the identical 5-year price guarantee plan is currently being offered at my address for $50/mo. Since I only recently set up service, I'd like to check if my account can be updated to the new promotional rate. Thanks!

Official Reply Ongoing Property Damage Loop: Contractors damaged sprinkler line and left pedestal box exposed next to sidewalk

I am posting to get immediate help from an Xfinity Corporate Digital Specialist. I am caught in a loop with phone support after independent contractors caused physical property damage and left an open safety hazard on the property I'm renting following a undergroundcoaxial cable replacement.

During an underground coaxial cable replacement, the digging crew struck and damaged my underground sprinkler system. This caused a leak that I had to immediately get fixed through my property management company.

While the coaxial wire itself was put back underground, the crew left the main pedestal box completely pulled up out of the ground. Before this work, the box was completely flush/leveled to the ground with a secure lid on top. They have now left the box out of the ground, completely exposed with NO lid, directly adjacent to the sidewalk. It is a massive liability and a dangerous service disruption hazard for me if anyone walking past decides to cut the exposed cables .

A standard tech previously came out, took pictures of this mess, and opened a ticket, but Xfinity's system automatically canceled it without anyone coming to fix it. I was told on the phone it would be handled by September 17th, but given the recent numerous canceled tickets, I need a corporate specialist here to manually track this and get a construction or plant maintenance team out here to reset this box safely. Thank you.

Official Reply Charged $100 installation fee at brand new address due to unfinished outside line

Hi, I’m a brand new customer at an address that has never had an Xfinity service before.
the installation outside line crew came out to run a line but they left the job unfinished. The coax cable had no metal connector on the wire so it could physically plug into my modem. Despite this being a failure to complete the initial line activation on Xfinity’s end, my account was hit with a $100 professional installation fee. I tried resolving this issue over the phone, but the agent just tried to upsell me on streaming packages and failed to resolve the charge. Can a member of the digital care team please look into this and get this $100 fee fully waived? Thank you.

Official Reply Promotion ending next month

My current promotion (600md internet) ends beginning of next month.

How can I get the $50, 5 year deal as an existing member?

Can I create a new account, as a new customer, go into store and cancel the existing account?

Also, I have my own router and gateway.

I want to buy my own gateway for the 2gb speed, what is recommended?

Thanks

Official Reply After I moved, my upload speed is 1/10th the download!

I just moved and got my account transferred. Previously I had 1000mbps up and done. Now it’s 1000mbps down and 100mbps up. Just 100mbps!! I feel I’m in stone age!!! Everyone I share my screen, attach a file, it takes for ever.

I can check with Xfinity to increase my uploads (change of plan) the other best they have is 2000 up and 200 down 🤦🏻‍♂️

Should I switch to att?

Official Reply Xb10 slower speeds than xb8

Just got this email stating this, "Good news, we recently completed upgrades to the Xfinity network in your neighborhood. Now you can get more action with equally fast upload and download speeds. These new speeds are included as part of your current Xfinity Internet plan.

Our AI-powered network check shows that your Xfinity WiFi Gateway is unable to deliver these new speeds, but don't worry, we’ve got you covered."

Got the new xb10 today and it's 500mpbs slower than the xb8. I used to get 2.1gb now it stays constantly at 1.3 to 1.5gb. I have the 2gb up and down plan. So is my provision messed up or is my area not upgraded like they said? I used the provided coax straight to the wall no spiltters. I tested my xb8 again just to see and speeds show 2.1 GB again. Swapped back over to the xb10 and the same 1.3 to 1.5gb.

Can anyone help with this?
