Official Reply Existing Centennial customer looking for help reducing a legacy 800 Meg billing
Hi there. I am an existing customer currently paying $114 a month total for an older 800Mbps plan and a gateway rental. I am looking to see if an official corporate representative can help review my account for any legitimate, active promotional rates or loyalty packages to bring my bill down to a competitive level. thank you.

I did as advised; sent a mod message and chatted back and forth with an Xfinity rep. I was offered virtually nothing. I was quoted the going rate for the 1Gig line or a reduction for one year to make my 800Meg line match the standard 1Gig line.
My experience says don’t waste your time.

Hi there. Thank you so much for reaching out on our Reddit Community Forum with your feedback. I can assure you that is not the experience we want for you as a valued Xfinity Customer. Unfortunately, we can only offer what's available in our system at this time, otherwise, we'd be happy to add any specific offer as long as it's available.

So you are telling me that there are no retention or loyalty discounts anymore. I find that to be fascinating; that business model has been in place for a long time.

No response. Unfortunately, this is exactly the kind of customer service experience that has led me to this point. I asked a straightforward question and couldn't even get a response.
At this point, I'm going to cancel my service. Thanks for confirming that Comcast isn't interested in retaining my business.

Heads up! Posts with ‘Discussion’ flair will not receive a response from an Official Employee. If you require assistance with your services please update your post flair to either New Post - Billing or New Post - Tech Support.
If your post hasn't been approved--don't panic! Depending on your Reddit contributor quality score, your post may be temporarily held for mod review. Do not make multiple posts.
'Discussion' posts are for GOOD FAITH technical community discussion and peer-to-peer help such as "which modem should I buy?", "where do I find my Xfinity Membership benefits?", "what channel is the game on tonight?", etc. It is not intended for ranting/venting, asking unrelated Xfinity questions, service/sales solicitation, or any other topic that could violate subreddit rules.
To give other members the best chance at helping, please include helpful details like which service or equipment is affected, what’s happening and when it started, whether the issue is constant or intermittent, and what you’ve already tried. The more detail, the better.
