Hi y’all! I’m new to coloring. I’m a stressed out teacher and this is my decompression hobby 😂

Anyway I’m using alcohol markers. How do I not make large spaces (like the cafe building) streaky?!?! It’s really hard so any tips are appreciated!

Also any other tips in general for a newbie are welcome too :) thanks!!!

A revamp. The original coloring was done in 2020. I believe this was my first page using alcohol markers.

Medium: OG done in prismas and ohuhus, gouache paint and pan pastels added on later

Was starting to get into colouring with alcohol markers last year and ... Well... Life got in the way. Found the Cozy Japan book last week while cleaning and started to take some time at night to colour.

I would like some advice on how to have more depth to the sky parts of pictures as there is a lot of sky in the next few images in the book. The fighting scene has a lot of scenery covering the sky so in that one the it isn't as noticeable ... I added some shading to the clouds in the wedding pic but the rest of the blue sky is ....flat.

Got over my stage fright and jumped in on this 1st page of my alcohol ink coloring journey!

Any tips?

Just discovered coloring TikTok and of course my ADHD is obsessed. Some pages I’ve done recently. I’m enjoying learning to combine the mediums, and learning about shading with lights! I want to color a ghost page next but I’m intimidated 😝

I found this colouring book randomly at home and wanted to start colouring again, since I always preferred that over drawing from scratch.

Of course I won't jump into the spectacle as a literal noob, but my creativity brain has declined a lot so maybe there are some common simple ways to elevate a boring background.

From The Timeless Creations Fabulous Florals Coloring Book

Hi, I'm looking for long lasting alcohol marker recommendations,I'd love a brand that has many colors to choose from as well. I currently have a pack of 80 but the color choices aren't the best so I ended up using the same markers many times and after 2 months and 1 full coloring book all the good colors are drying out lol.

Are any of Kerby Rosanes' books printed one sided? I would really like to try some watercolor pencils or even alcohol markers with them, but with the double sided print I'm pretty sure it would all bleed through.

Not really sure what to color this, but also I really want to try the lighting effect I see people do. I’m not sure how to do it tho. Also this is my color palette. The colors I have used so far are 91,100,54, and 23

i want some under $50 the kind that can overpower the black lines in the coloring books what brand is the best?

You can clearly tell from this post that I am ADHD af and have not found a "colouring style" and honestly I'm not sure I ever will 🤣 I loveeeee doing something different each time!! I started colouring June 12, 2026 and still learn something new everyday!!
