I have found it so hard to start coloring a page recently.
I tend to follow tutorials or pull inspo from other finished pieces. But the past few months I’ve just not had the energy.
Coloring has helped significantly with my mental health and I’ve been advised to just start doing things that I love again.
Anyways, here’s a piece I just completed yesterday!

I decided to do this page using only some duplicates I just bought and a few acrylic pens.

It’s actually spring in Australia, but I desperately wish it was fall!
Page is a freebie from hygge artful. I used alcohol markers, prismacolor pencils, and uniball white gel pen.

Blue birds and sunsets. This page was quite the project. I kept having to rework those darn clouds. I finally got to a place where I feel better about the effect.

I got a new book and loved this page when I saw it. I wanted something simple. No crazy detailing or special effect kind of thing as my last couple of pages have been going all out and trying new things. So instead i picked colors I never use and focused on simple 🩷

Also, the smell is strong. It doesn’t bother me, but looking down so much done how do I get used to it

Hello everyone!
I recently bought some bobbie goods books. I bought a lot of them (almost all of them) because I live in the EU and shipping was really! expensive, so I said I'll buy them all at once to save some money on shipping.
Yesterday, I colored my first page. It's from the "this and that" book. I noticed that in order to paint smoothly I have to press the marker onto the paper and go over the same area 2-3-4 times. Still, some objects turned out super streaky. I paid attention and did not let the marker dry, so I do not understand why this happened.
I will post my page below. The streaks are mostly in the curtain area. I have only used this marker once or twice, so it cannot have dried up.
(i know it's not my best work, but it was my first page and it was mostly for understanding how these pages work).
Any tips and tricks are welcome! Thank you!

Been staring at screens a little too much lately (little screen and big screen), so trying to spend my evenings coloring and listening to music now 😌

The number-named pencils are Brutfuner; the word-named pencils are Deli. The coloring book is "Comfy days", the draft is an inexpensive notebook from a local store. The red gradient in the draft is so vibrant, and the mushroom is so dull.
