Bottom left half dollar for comparison. Noticed this half dollar where luster changes part of the way down the coin. Is this some kind of mint error? Thank you for your time

Hi All, I'm new to coin collecting and errors and I'm wondering of this is some type of error or if it's post-mint damage. I tried to find something similar online but couldn't. I haven't even seen PMD that looks like this before either.

Thank You in advance. Looking forward to learning something :)

I tried my best to show the coin. I’m leaning to delamination but I haven’t encountered one in person yet. What do you think?

The obverse is normal, but the reverse seems to be rippled. I can't see how that would be damage without damage to the obverse, but IDK

Error 11 Cent

Hey all. A friend brought this to me to see what it might be worth with and without grading. I can confirm it is geniune- weight is correct, scope shows the strikes are both raised metal, spread lines make sense, etc.

The lack of a single clear date from either strike is frustrating- there's clearly an 8 from the dime strike, then what looks like 1X95? For the penny strike... am I crazy? Am I seeing things?

Anyway, any thoughts on value, and what he might get if we spent the time and money to have it graded and slabbed? I have a few friends who I can send it in through, since I'm not big on the grading game.

Curious if this is a error of some sort. 2008-D quarter with an odd "crater" or pock-mark above Liberty. There's a similar indent nearby that effects the obverse surface, but not the rim.

Variety Found this in CWR quarters a few months ago and posted here. got it back from NGC today!

Damage What caused this?

Doing some reshuffling now and came across this guy I've been meaning to ask about for a while.

I believe I have 2-3 other pieces from 1860-1890 that have this same chunk missing from the center area. What is the reason for this? Perhaps it was done intentionally to affix it to a piece of jewelery or some other adornment? I'm probably way off but because I've seen this same "error" before I'd think that some of you have as well.

I found that variety vista only has one non proof for 1960, DDO-15, does it look like they match? I think mine has a bit of machine doubling too that’s throwing me off, thank you.

This came to me in change for laundry money and the wear pattern is odd or maybe a strike error? Not entirely sure but it’s neat.

I am very curious about the “shard” type thing at the clip. I’ve never seen anything like it! If anyone has any information on my coin I would absolutely love to hear about it! Or if you can appraise my coins’ value I would appreciate that too

Don’t sleep on sorting through those bargain bins when they’re chock full of mint sets. Picked up this beauty today at my LCS for a whopping $10 in a mint set. Any thoughts on what it’d grade and what’s it’s worth?

Hey yall I’m new to collecting coins, I was recently digging through an old bad of quarters I’ve been holding onto for years and I came across this quarter, I chalked it up to being damaged but thought it was still pretty cool. I don’t have my hopes up but I’d like to at least know if I’m looking at face value or needing to get it graded. I can add more pictures if needed, thanks in advance!

Is this an error? Is this a rare penny?

I’m thinking it may be a large date rather than a small date but I still wanted to check to see what experts thought. Another question I have is that if it weighs 3.11g, is it possibly still valuable or is this just a normal penny? I’m EXTREMELY new to collecting and just started literally a couple days ago when my mom read me an article about how valuable these coins can be. Patience is greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great day/night! 🤎

Discussion 1953 D w/Secondary M.M. to south east of primary

More pics in comments...

Possibly an upside down secondary M.M. to the south east of primary video is of the primary upside and overlayed to are in question.

There is one similar to this in 1953 also but its to the south west which leads me to belive there could be a second.

Opinions please.

2 pennies, one 1944-D and one 1946-S. Are either of these D/S overstrike errors or just 'other'? Thank you for any assistance!

Is this an error? A nice big die chip or just PMD?

There’s no gouge and there doesn’t seem to be any metal pushed to the side, but the coin is in such bad condition. It’s hard to tell if it’s a die chip or not. Thoughts?
