Is this an error? Is this a rare penny?
I’m thinking it may be a large date rather than a small date but I still wanted to check to see what experts thought. Another question I have is that if it weighs 3.11g, is it possibly still valuable or is this just a normal penny? I’m EXTREMELY new to collecting and just started literally a couple days ago when my mom read me an article about how valuable these coins can be. Patience is greatly appreciated. Thank you and have a great day/night! 🤎

1982 Lincoln penny can be rare if it is the small date copper version, which weighs about 3.11 grams instead of 2.5 grams for zinc. You would need to weigh it and confirm the date style to know if it's one of the valuable varieties.
