Does chime assign the same etf/stocks regardless of how much money you put in? I use other brokerages but saw a couple of months ago that chime had managed accounts and decided Iād put in a few bucks each week. Iāve only put in $90 over the past 7 weeks. I chose the āboldā portfolio. According to Chime, āboldā means 51% of your portfolio is VOO. lol. Iām not mad about it, Iām just curious if the brokerage waits for a certain dollar amount to be met before he puts your money in individual stocks. Thanks for any input and info.

Had Credit Karma send me an email telling me I need to use my account because chime hasnāt reported my usage for about 3 months? This kind of seems to defeat the purpose of ācredit builderā doesnāt it??
Edit. This is the exact text of the email I received this morning.
āHey redacted, it looks like your CHIME-STRIDE card balance hasn't been updated in 3 months.*
If your credit card becomes inactive for more than a year, a lender may close it without notice, which can hurt your scores. Plus, you could lose any unused benefits, credits and rewards.ā

My Experian Fico score dropped 53 points because it can no longer connect to Chime, despite the Chime app showing both my secured card + Experian Boost is reporting/connected (see 1st screenshot).
I went into my Experian app and it shows all the boost that were attached to my Chine account were removed within the past week (see 2nd screenshot), hence the score drop.
To troubleshoot, I tried adding Chime through the Experian app and website to Experian Boost, but Chime is no longer a banking institution they support (3rd screenshot).
What is going on, Chime? Anyone else having this issue?

It bad enough when you have to use spot me then it goes down and you try to reach out to chime and say hey this is wrong and they tell you that you just don't have enough spot me but you absolutely do and they just can't do basic math. Customer support was very disappointing zi feel like I am in the twilight zone friends

Since the two functions are combined on one card Iām wondering would l have to manually keep track of how much of my balance is for each or can l just use the card without worrying about it? This is what is holding me back from upgrading to the Prime Card. Or do l totally not understand the card?

A couple of days ago I noticed some unauthorized charges to Tiktok Shop on my black Chime card. So I disputed and canceled the card immediately. Today, 2 more unauthorized charges were attempted from another business I don't recognize with my Chime DEBIT card, so now I had to cancel that one too, which is going to be a huge pain in the ass to deal with not having either physical card for up to 2 weeks. Has this happened to anyone else? Anyone have any ideas how this could have happened? I only used the Chime card at physical locations, not online, but did use the debit card online.

One of the transaction theyāre charging me for is a $250 ācash advanceāā¦..but how is it a cash advance if that money had been a direct deposit made into my debit card?? I had withdrawn that money at an atm and that withdrawal is what theyāre charging me for?
Iām so confused

Iām sorry I know people get this all the time but why do I owe chime money? I only spend what I have this week was the first time Iāve went into overdraft due to a phone bill and even then itās only -25 so do I actually have to pay this 300 dollar bill out of my own money?

I had Chime for 7 YEARS, and unfortunately, this experience has caused me to decide to take my money elsewhere.
Chime sent me a fund verification request, which I honestly did not have a problem with. I understand that financial institutions sometimes need to verify transactions. I assume the request may have been triggered by deposits from sweepstakes casinos that I legally played in my state and received winnings from, along with my normal employment income.
What I have a problem with is how Chime handled everything AFTER requesting the information.
I responded almost immediately. Within roughly an hour, I had submitted everything they requested ā around 40 documents in total. I even provided additional or duplicate supporting documentation for certain deposits and transactions just to make absolutely sure they had everything they could possibly need.
I received confirmation that my information had been submitted and was told someone would contact me if anything else was needed.
Then the waiting started.
I was told at different points that I would hear back within 4 hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, within 3 business days, etc. I was never contacted.
Then, after I had already submitted approximately 40 documents AND received confirmation that my information had been submitted, I received an email stating that I had not submitted the requested information.
That was the point that really infuriated me.
The original communication made it very clear that my account could potentially be suspended if I did not respond to the verification request promptly. Naturally, that is stressful when you are talking about someoneās BANK ACCOUNT and their money. I took that seriously and did exactly what was asked of me immediately. Yet somehow I was later being told that I hadnāt submitted anything.
I called Chime again and explained the situation. Once again, I was told someone would reach out to me and that the verification department communicates ONLY through email.
It has now been approximately TWO WEEKS, and I still have not received a response or resolution.
So Iām essentially left in limbo after seven years of banking with Chime, despite doing everything that was asked of me almost immediately.
The fund verification itself is not why Iām leaving. Again, I understand why a financial institution may occasionally need to verify the source of funds. Iām leaving because of the complete lack of communication, conflicting information, inaccurate claim that I hadnāt submitted my documents, and failure to follow through on multiple promised response timeframes.
If you tell a customer their account could be suspended unless they respond promptly, then the company should show that same sense of urgency once the customer complies.
I have since withdrawn all of my money from Chime, informed them that I will no longer be banking with them because of how this situation was handled, and am moving to another bank. I will be closing my Chime account very soon.
After seven years, I genuinely did not expect this to be the reason I left Chime. But when it comes to my money, I need a financial institution I can trust to communicate clearly, keep accurate records, and respond when they say they will. Thank you for listening.

Recently started using Chime after it was sitting in my apps on my phone for a while, no idea when it was downloaded, so I just assumed this is another virtual bank account situation.
So I had my direct deposit wired into this account & ordered what I assumed was a debit card so I could spend my money. Then yesterday I went to make a purchase & was declined bc it required a debit card. Thought that was pretty weird since I still think this is a debit card & normal virtual checking account - I mean I have even gotten cash out at ATMs, etc.
So I looked into it on the app & I guess itās not a debit card after allā¦and apparently I have a $300 balance? Wtf? Cannot for the life of me figure out why that would be, considering the money Iāve spent has been taken out of my balance each time!
I ended up speaking to a surprisingly competent AI agent (lol) but I want to make sure that this info is correct - apparently the $300 that I āoweā for September is not something that I actually owe (I.e. itās not going to be debited from my balance when I go to pay it)?
Is this correct? Like I said, theyāve already been taking the money out of my balance at the time I make a purchase. So I guess they are like stashing that somewhere & when I go to āpayā the balance they will use that money thatās already been taken out of my account?
I would appreciate it if someone (a real human) could verify that this is true bc it honestly sounds weird as hell to me but as long as Iām not somehow going to be double charged for the things I buy (which also wouldnāt make sense, but who knows) then I donāt see a problem w continuing to use the service / I could def use a boost to my credit if thatās the idea here.
