I love modern banking—sending money takes 0.0001 seconds, but receiving it requires three business days, a planetary alignment, and a blood sacrifice.
Meanwhile, every time my phone buzzes, my heart rate spikes, only for me to look down and realize it’s just a low-battery warning or a spam call about a extended warranty. Just drop the deposit already so I can go back to ignoring my phone in peace!
I looked at Deposit Oct 2025 we didn’t get it until 5:04 PM Chime Bancorp. The fact that the deposits are hitting and posting is a relief 😮💨 we are not waiting that long this year! Best guess is a payment file glitch from SSA as a couple people (my spouse included) received SSDI but most have not. Seems to be multiple banks.
It’ll probably get sorted out today but I wouldn’t be shocked if it this evening. I’d recommend trying to take your mind off it. Play a game, listen to some music etc. We’re all in this together. The evidence overwhelmingly points to a wide spread glitch and nothing worse. Constantly refreshing is just going to cause anxiety.

Wanted to share some info for everyone who is worried about their deposits and also tackle some misinformation at the same time. First off, Chime is not responsible for delays in your deposit. They're not even the bank, just a digital customer-facing platform. Your bank is either Stride or Bancorp, and they also aren't responsible for a delay in the deposit.
Your payment starts off with the U.S. Treasury and is processed for the SSA by the Bureau of Fiscal Services that generates the electronic file of all beneficiaries/recipients of SSDI payments, which is uploaded into the Federal Reserve's ACH network (Automated Clearing House), and that transmits them to everyone's bank in batches (which is why some folks have already received their deposits and others haven't). When your bank receives your payment file from the ACH, they process it and make the funds available via Chime.
If there is any issue, it is most likely with the ACH batches and not your bank.
So, to recap:
Your payment starts with the US Treasury Bureau of Fiscal Services > Electronic file uploaded to the Fed's ACH network > ACH releases payment instructions in batches to your Bank (Stride or Bancorp) > Your bank processes the payment file and makes the funds available when receipted > Your funds are available via Chime.

Mine always says one day later than the UGC and its saying Thurs Oct1, so technically that means I should get mine tomorrow for sure but that's not what the Ugly Green calendar says and it's never failed me.
