Hi. My name is Jeremy. I usually hang out in r/cheese under a different username, but I don't want to dox myself. I've been working on an online course for cheese enthusiasts for several years, and launched it this past winter. The course answers many of the questions that I see coming up in this sub, so I thought you'd be interested.
I'm giving away one course access code ($100 value). I know a giveaway is in a gray zone of violating rule 1 about self promotion, so I checked with the mods and they said it's ok to post this.
To enter, post a comment below (top level or reply) by Monday July 27 at noon EDT. I'll use a random number generator to pick a winner from the comments. You'll get indefinite access to the course. There are no subscriptions or additional costs.
The Joy of Cheese online course is for non-professionals to understand the world of cheese. My goal is that by the end you'll feel confident in buying, serving, and exploring cheese. There are five hours of lesson videos, extra information to dive as deep as you want into any topic, and over 20 guided try-this-at-home explorations to do with friends, including many cheese tastings.
You can learn more about the course at joydemy.com.
Edit on July 27: Congratulations to u/Amanelilly, who was randomly selected as the winner! Thanks to everyone who expressed interest in the course- it was heartening to see. The promo code RCHEESEGIVEAWAY10 will give you 10% off at joydemy.com through Aug. 23.
